Best band in the history of rock and roll. Straight up.
I'm not a Stones fan at all, and I've seen a lot of people saying that they shouldn't be out there touring and that they look like they're 100 years old, but I am incredibly impressed by what they're doing. The energy, vitality, and the sound of these guys that are in the 80-year-old range is just unbelievable and I'd pay to see just that. I hope I'm that energetic at that age!

Hey Don. I too was working security at the Golden Ticket pit. South side of the catwalk. The Stones were amazing!! I feel honored to have been a part of it!!
Forget age. Pisses me off when people say, “They’re good for their age”. Same as it pisses me off when people qualify the other way, “She’s great considering she’s so young” Ageism pure and simple. Close your eyes. Imagine you are hearing this stuff today for the first time. Just released. Beats everything else out there recorded this year. I’m blessed to have been around same time as the Stones (+Hendrix+Doors+Cream)

Wife and I were staying at Ceasars Windsor that weekend, had hit the buffet for dinner. I got the food coma so stayed in the room while the boss went and gambled till 3am.
Wake up in the morning and she tells me bout this really weird guy who had hit on her in the elevator on the way up.
I had asked her if she seen him again would she recognize him cuz i was pissed.
She said he was so weird she would know him in a heartbeat. He had a fadora hat, dangley earrings, spoke in a British accent and invited her up to the vip top floor..
That morning I open the door and grab the newspaper and here's a pic of the Stone's at Ford field..

If it is true in England as it is in the US, social security bases your monthly allowance on your highest earnings over your lifetime.
This would mean the Stones at the height of their career are each pulling in a whopping social security check and, as far as, I am aware, the check amounts do not change no matter how much you earn after retirement. What I am seeing in the Stones is the last generation to have it so well.

Keith and Ronnie look completely knackered.. old Mick with his frizzed-out hair from all the dye, trying somehow to act "tough"... They should be playing smaller venues and just get SERIOUS about the quality iof the MUSIC, not these tawdry, synthetic Extravaganzas. Act your AGE, boys; it's become embarasssing.
