That's what she said!....Michael Scott
I really like the way keenan knows the only ways you can escape and uses that to his advantage. There is a simultaneous arm lock/collar choke here and a triangle. Triple threat makes this so effective. Great details, thank you
Thank you for this video! Today I competed for the first time. I finished 4th out of 7. But needless to say I was able to lock this in just from watching this video like 20 times last night! Looking forward to checking out other videos! Thank you again!
Great explanation. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to part 2!
Thanks for the free videos keenan
Keys to an effective triangle : Make sure your legs are freakishly longer than your opponents thats it #keenanaBJJ
HiloBorn 808 luckily I’ve got that part too 😂
that part won me countless championships XD being 6'2 againts 5'10/9 is fun
Glad I visited atos back then. I got to roll with Josh. Great teacher also. He also told me I'm stringer than I look. Being a skinny dude I took that as a great compliment. Lol
Thanks for the lesson!! OSS!!!
good teacher
Eduardo Plastino the overhook will hold it with closed guard especially when he is at that sideways angle. You might want to use your right hand to hold his neck so he can't posture up and when he goes for your leg you can kick your right leg free and over the shoulder for triangle.
In startup phase maybe the Right hand position is dangerous for mao de vaca lock?
very good
Awesome 😎
what happen when you get stuck in your own box?

sneaky sock ninja!
where is part 2.? :)
what if I am in a no gi match? what should I do to get a similar grip that avoids my opponent to posture up like he did with his left hand on the opponent's collar? Would be glad if anyone could help me.
+Eduardo Plastino In my opinion you don't need to modify this technique much for no-gi, it basically works is as (try it!). In no-gi, you don't have the collar grip but that overhook of the arm is still very effective in controlling his posture. The collar grip is just icing on the cake because it makes the overhook tighter (and, among other things, it also sets up chokes).
Keenan can you do a video on guard retention
yep, peeped it.
Only if my legs were that long
there are advantages to all body types, for example people like me with long legs can get there guard passed because there is more space
Find someone shorter than you 👍👍
i dont like this traingle his hand on the inside makes a escape very likely
Dude you're teaching this online I know you're an awesome instructor but just some constructive criticism shorten it up a bit I know for a fact without a partner to roll with I'm not gonna remember this much less perfect it. Ur good enough to cut a few corners and not repeat everything so much to get the point across. And before all the hating starts I know in a class room setting you would grab a partner and drill this over and over but this is not that. Not hating just trying to help. With that said doesn't mean I didn't watch it ten times to get it down, Bec I did.
too long didnt watch
