    Hello from Japan. I really enjoy your videos.
    I want to share some information about Japanese pens for you guys. (I think it’s a bit difficult to get the detailed information about Japanese pens overseas.)
    PILOT MULTIBALL is advertised as it can write not only on paper, but on metal, glass, and plastic surface. It’s a water-based pigmented ink pen, and it’s waterproof. PILOT doesn’t make so many pigmented ink pens, because they’re proud to make dye ink pens as a company which started as a fountain pen company. That’s why Pilot Juice was released later than other company’s pigmented gel ink pens like ZEBRA SARASA series and MITSUBISHI uni-ball series.
    Pentel B100 (we call it just “Ball Pentel.” It’s written on the body of the pen in Japanese, “ボールPentel.” ボール means ball.) is a water-based dye ink pen. Rollerball. What’s special about Ball Pentel is the tip of the pen that holding the ball is made of plastic. So, it has uniquely soft writing experience. Some people describe it as writing with a felt tip pen. The concept is similar to uni-ball AIR, but Ball Pentel’s design is much older(since 1972) and simpler.
    That’s all I want to tell you. I’m pleased that Japanese pens are enjoyed around the world. Happy pen life!

    Wow! I have not seen those Pentels in well over 40 years. Nice to see they're still being produced *and* with the same recognizable teal.
    Also, Multiballs are great- you can use them to draw on glass and coffee mugs.

    Loving the frequent uploads! Keep it up, something to look forward to. You completely inspired me to go back to writing by hand, I have a pretty nice starter collection of pens/pencils/mechanical pencils, and I can write 1500-3k words by hand at a sitting again now. I'd forgotten how pleasurable it is and how great it is to have a hard copy as soon as you finish.

    I had several of those Jetstreams back when I lived in Korea. Great pen. Might need to hit up JetPens for some more. I like your calling it an ideal quarantine pen!

      Alex Klimkewicz : The Mitsubishi Jetstreams are my favorite as well; ‘have used them for the past dozen years or so, 1.0 in both blue and black, and I buy them by the box load, and now that I’ve found refills for them, I have boxes of refills as well. The flow off the nib is just amazing.

    I'm waiting on for my Uniball Boxy pen. I got a feeling it is going to be in my primary EDC.

    Weirdly enough I was extremely disappointed before trying the Curidas but after a couple of weeks during which I wrote extensively with the pen I changed my mind. It's now my edc.

    I really want to try the uni one. You have convinced me on the .38 I just purchased the Zebra Blen Multi. It is very ergonomic. And I believe you will enjoy the 0.7 as it is a wider tip.

    I am getting back to gel pens. Had a long fountain pen phase, but now have dug up my Energel and going to look into the Ohto Ceramic refill in your previous video :)

    If you want to use the Multi Ball's refill, you can just crack open the pen. The refills are Pilot G2 sized.

    I have a Curidas on order since late January. Platinum has not yet made the extra fine nib available. Supposedly they are coming in May.

    Hmm Curidas being dry writer sounds tempting. Most of the pens are made to be wet noodles so a dry nib is a nice thing. Especially an extra fine point with a dry nib.

    at the curidas pricepoint you could just get a steel nib vanishing point. With the pen that they're selling they have to get it down to twsbi territory to sell big numbers.

      @chopin4525 Před 4 lety

      Not really. You have to buy them from Japan and the custom duties still keep the price higher.

    You are "The" authority for all things you write with lol. These videos are so cool to watch. It's 3 in the morning, woke up to grab some water and here I am. Quick video and back to sleep. Life goes by quick so busy working, and this is my relaxing.. A good, strong clip is a definite plus for me. My fave Edc is a B2 3-1...Also, Jetstreams are very cool!

    ... by the way - the Curidas spits ink on your thump twice by clicking (12:49 and 12:58) - shouldn't happend.

  • @TweakMDS
    @TweakMDS Před 4 lety

    @ 12:49 we see the immense design flaw of this Curidas. It literally sprays your hand with ink droplets because the mechanism is much too springy... Nice gimmick, but also a pass on my part.

    Pilot has run away from India out of modi's fear. If you want to laugh and cry, or loose your temper listen to news from India.
