- A New Jersey mother shared her family's "magical" moment at Walt Disney World last weekend when her 6-year-old son Brody, who has autism, was having a "meltdown" at the theme park. While in line to meet Snow White at the Epcot park, the boy began crying and having a hard time, the mom said. Snow White saw and made a point to come comfort and soothe the boy, even taking him away from the crowd to sit with him as well as dance and walk around, the mother wrote in a Facebook post.
I'm not a Disney fan but kids love it and this story is heartwarming. Thanks for making a dark world a little bit brighter.
Me neither
I’m autistic and l have a soul for Disney films. This character you see here is the most humble character of all time. And that’s a fact.
This shows that even though disney princesses arent real, you can still have a soul of one, this woman did exactly what snow white would do if she were real! This reminds me of that story of an actor playing Tarzan who saved a drowning child and didnt break character the whole time
Even though Disney characters aren't real, they still exist in our hearts
It wasn't Disney, it was that Snow White actress. She deserves everything good and a raise!
Good for her for knowing how to handle this child. We don't know her background but she must have had some training.
This is exactly what Disney tries to install in all it's character employees. They are always the character, to not break and, for instance, talk to the mom. By staying in character they are able to extend the magic. There are some who have had to walk away after a while because it's a major effort, but in a case like this it all pays off.
Awesome. Kudos to Snow White! The cast members @ Disney are always 1st class! ❤
This is so much more beautiful than the original snow white story! This actress believes she can be as kind as snow white and the boy is touched by her heart. The spirit in this is the true legacy of Disney.
This is just sooo incredible! It almost wants to bring everyone in tears by just being happy for that 6-year old little boy! I do have autism as well, but not nonverbal! I live in Orlando now, and since that I am a Disney freak; I go to the parks more often!
Same.
That is so sweet!!!!
Wow, I wonder if Snow White could keep up with him. Probably not as he was running so fast. That’s how much of a good time he had with her. Didn’t want it to end. Just awesome. That’s why Snow White is the most humble character of all time.
Yeaaaaahhh, Bubba Gonna Be Really Happy.
This has me in tears....... So very beautiful!! God BLESS her!! 😀😄⭐😌😊😍🌈💚💜💙🎼🎹🎶
SO CUTE! God is good.
She could have training, but also a mother's instinct.
This is too adorible 💖
Omg this just brought tears to my eyes!!! I wish I could work on a job like that and make kids happy!! Soo beautiful!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Definitely kind of someone with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
I know how brody feels, this is so sweet 😢😊
That is so lovely.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Some of those folks who work for Disney deserve gold medals. Too bad y'all couldn't spare the time to I.D. the princess. She deserves a raise in salary and promotion to "Empress of the Universe and Beyond!"
💖💖💖
That’s cute
0:30 WTF?!?!?! I Didn't Even See The Camera.
The talking heads couldn't even be bothered to identify the woman playing the princess to give her the recognition she deserved? Yet another reason why I haven't watched local news in decades.
0:15 как мило
Don't tell me this is actually WPIX!
who is she ?? her name ?
Child psychotherapist at Disney? $8.20 an hour.
Yes, I knew it! I mean she's around my age and I also know how to handle them 😉😉
Dopey would most likely laugh out loud if he sees this!
No dummy. Disney isn't a magical place. It was Snow White... If it wasn't for her, would you still say it a magical place. What happened to the other news anchor? You know, the ones that started...Lisa Church and her crew... I miss them and since these people started I have NOT watched.
Linda church has since retired!

I once tried to have fun with the PRINCESSES @ de Disney Bar and Grill too.. Only to be escorted out of the park by their nazi stormtroopers and told NEVER TO COMEBACK...😕😕😕😭😭😭
I have autism and adhd I do not like Disney anymore I’m too old
it never leaves you even when u r older.
You're NEVER too old. Honey... 💖
An then she got fired.
forreal?
@@rizkymarcelo8512 yep she shure did.compamy policy.
@@larryengland8191 why
@@larryengland8191 you know her name?
@@rizkymarcelo8512 that's the way that personal treat their employees.
She did not do such a great thing, she actually reinforced the behavior of throwing a fit. Now the next time he wants something he may throw a fit because that behavior is now strengthened. She meant well, but did not help the child in the long run.
Whatever, Your Entitled to your Opinions. But the Truth is she was comforting him
@@isaacmoreno-doing678 I realize she was comforting him but my point is that she is reinforcing behavior that is inappropriate. Our first instinct when we see a child hurting is to comfort them, but the science of behavior analysis has clearly demonstrated that behavior is reinforced by its consequences. In this particular case he would have benefited more by being taught how to wait patiently and engage in socially appropriate behavior. I am curious, what do you think will happen when in a few hours he goes to visit another Disney Princess and has to wait in line to see her?
@@dolam Probably The same thing he does to Snow White
I have 6 years of education in the field of special needs childcare and have worked in the field for years and can say that this was not the wrong thing. This did not reinforce the "behaviour" because he did not choose to act this way. Children with autism have different sensory management systems to neurotypicals, and are prone to overload on their sensory system... he was not throwing a temper tantrum to get his way, his neural system was in an overworked state. She did exactly what she should have by helping him regain equilibrium. Whoever she is, she should be proud of herself.
@@SerenityRoseThorn So, in your opinion how do you teach individuals with ASD socially appropriate behavior?
