Composure wasnt a diss track. My guy just had a few things he had to take off his chest, he addressed a whole lot of industry folks in a song. Cass caught feelings and responded with a diss track. Composure got massive airplay coz its a great song.

Composure wasn't a diss track as such, AKA's talking about things he was going through and he just took a few jabs at Cassper. Dust To Dust came afterwards. BUT Dust To Dust wasn't the only diss song Cassper dropped in response to Composure, he dropped about 3 or 4 diss songs and they all flopped. To this day people still go crazy when Composure plays in the club, sometimes people chant "we want Composure" during his live performances. No cap. That should tell you who won. Oh , also Composure is a Platinum selling record in SA.

I respect Cassper’s industrial nature in terms of hustle and how he can be creative about getting the bag. Cassper’s so creative so much that he knows he’s a wack rapper and always took the “I’ll always take a chill pill in this beef game” approach such that he’s only been on the response side of things. Why? That give him and his writers time to seem to have come up with a better diss track / response. In short, AKA is a better creative and he has always led the industry - basically made it what it is. Check AKA was the first to go to Sway and Cass only followed later. AKA is your typical controversial SuperStar whiles Cass is a hustler who has been lucky enough (and smart enough) then turned mafios by the bag 💰. For him, confidence came with the bag whereas AKA has always been up there (living in the future)

The beef is tiring to be honest. I feel like Aka might be difficult to understand for an international audience because he reps Africa, so a lot of his puns and jabs are rooted in African history, making it difficult for a lot of people to truly appreciate them (even a lot of Africans). Cass is easier to understand and likes being relatable. The A-reece and Nasty C beef was forced upon them by outside influence. From what I know they are cool with each other but people were always trying to get them beefing, playing the he said she said games on them, which did put a wedge between them. Like Reece would put out a song talking about someone else but people would say he is talking about Nasty and vice versa, so they just avoid each other so as to not feed into that.

Let's be honest, catalogue wise NOBODY can match AKA, not even K.O. (who's catalogue is 2nd btw). Everything else you said about Cass is true though.

Composure clearly the better song out of the two as it has the stronger replay value while Dust to Dust definitely more diss track worthy. AKA took the moment and made it last while Cass threw jabs without really paying attention to detail with regards to production. Proof is in the pudding; Composure got a couple million streams while Dust to Dust hasn't reached a mil streams even after 5 years, granted Casper did not promote or perform the song as much as Kiernan did. AKA had a fall out with his current label at the time and had all his music taken down from his streaming platforms since (as Cass mentioned in D2D) he didn't "own it". However, when he regained ownership and put Composure back up, it still got more streams than Dust to Dust, now if that doesn't convince you as to who ultimately won this particular battle, I don't know what will.
