FunFact: the bridge that connects to nowhere at The old Texas stadium site will soon be Jome to one of the Largedt Urban and Mixed used developments in the Entire state.
The Empty Texas stadium site is The Last Swath of Available and Unsold land in the city of Irving, and they'll use it to Creat a entire New Mini City/community that will be as Rail oriented and Pedestrian oriented as possible.
Interesting. I wonder what will be the future of that empty lot. Thank you for sharing :)
So, I finally did it. I flew into DFW and decided to go ahead and try it! I watched this some months ago and it really helped. So I just played as I ride the Dart into Downtown Dallas, this is So helpful! I’m not from here and have never rode the Dart before. I liked it for the most part! Thanks again!
Awesome and I’m glad that this video was helpful and you rode with confidence. I hope you enjoyed your stay in Dallas! Thank you!
This really helps me understand how to ride the DART! Thank you for this example!
Fun Fact: it never snows in Texas, and when it does, everything except Whataburger and Target is shut down
Fun Fact #2: American Airlines HQ is at DFW airport, and Southwest HQ is at Dallas Lovefield airport, a smaller and regional airport.
The quality of the picture in this video is amazing. Very vibrant colors…
Thank You So Much
Thanks for sharing. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and we have a BART system that goes from all our airports [San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland] out to many cities within the bay area. I was looking at Dallas/Ft. Worth as a place to relocate with my tech skills and saw it's nice there is a transit system that can take passengers to the DFW airport direct. Again, thanks for sharing the info.
Dallas/Ft. Worth has great train system. underutilized, but i like it that way since don't have to worry about crowds like in chgo, nyc, sf or boston
We need more train lines like this in Texas!
West End used to be really cool in the 1990s but last time I was there a lot had changed/closed and it made me sad. As a Houstonian, I'm jealous of Dallas for having DART, though. Still better than our train.
At least y'alls trains are clean and newer, DART still uses old 1990s Kinki Sharyos
@@KingAsa5 you want to see old trains, go to nyc, chgo, sf or boston. boston using same trains from 1980s. ny and chgo probably older than that. DART trains are brand new by comparison
@@gametime-bw3zk well true lol. But they’re old for Dallas
Since Dallas has been using them since the 90s with no recent upgrade.
Luckily all DART and TRE trains will be replaced in 2023-2026
A one hour ride for $2.50 , that’s a great deal.
Love the overlay with the stops! Excellent work
Thank you!
Great Video Man
Love all your vids
Thank you :)
Awesome! Video man
Thank you :)
My old acc
I use the train to take me to dfw to go to grapevine mall it a great experience
28:41 yes, that billboard has a waterfall in it.
17:31 actually the Cowpatties stadium was on your right and across 114.
North Irving transit center was closed on July 29th,2012 for 4 mouths and them reopen
3:44 and 2nd largest in the US by acreage (3rd in the world).
13:09 the Las Colinas APT shut down in 2021.
The fact you skip station stops makes it look much faster than it actually is. It took me 47 minutes to get from DFW to west end.
what station did he skip?
@@thebootielover He doesn’t show the stops
well of course he's not gonna show the entire ride
Thank you for this video! I was thinking of connecting through Texas with a 5 hours layover and wanted to see if I could make it to downtown for an hour walkabout and back to the airport on time. You kept the footage so smooth and the horizon steady. You must be a professional. Did you use a gimbal to record?
No problem and thank you for your comments. Yes, I’ve used a gimbal (DJI Osmo Mobile) to keep the camera steady.
@@HOUExplorer Cheers!
Plan carefully - trains don't run all that often.
Do you know anything about whether the Las Colinas APT will reopen? I can't seem to find much news on it after service being suspended "indefinitely" last year. Also did you ride it while you were in the area?
I visited a long time ago but I wasn't able to ride as I came after 6pm, sadly. I know it's gadgetbahn but it's so cute and I love the idea of a small community having their own metro (more or less).
Great video as per usual!
Thank you. @KingA (who lives in the Dallas area) has told me that DART took over the Las Colinas APT. The reopening date is unknown.
@@HOUExplorer Oh that may be encouraging news. Thank you for the reply
This is the Last DART video before you head back?🥺🥺
Not yet...tomorrow, I have one more.
@@HOUExplorer Any videos of the Denton A-Train?
When I return to Dallas, I will do A-Train to/from Denton :)
The Incredibles 2
What time of year was this filmed?
May 2021.
Dallas dart bus next
I wish I could have film DART bus, but next time I will when I return :)
Does the orange line run to at Paul station?
Yes. All rail lines (including Orange Line) stops at St. Paul Station in Downtown Dallas.
Hoe late does the orange line run from DFW to Downtown and vice versa?
I would say till midnight. Here is the Orange Line schedule page: www.dart.org/riding/dartrailorangeline.asp
No Brandon Monroe county road trip to the Incredibles of Them
Can I park my car at Belt Line station, go on a quick trip, and then get my car the next day. Is that possible? Is that safe to do?
You can park your vehicle at Belt Line Station overnight, but DART is not responsible. I would recommend to call DART at 214-979-1111 to double-check and verify. For more information about parking at a DART station, check their webpage at: www.dart.org/maps/locationslist.asp
I wish we could build something half as good as DART in Tampa… Decades of failed, voter approved rail projects shut down by Tallahassee and the powers that be. It’s so frustrating. Public transit is nearly nonexistent here.
Interesting. Ive never seen these weird kinds of trains that have stairs in them with only some of the cars being ADA compliant. Why does this system have these weird trains?
Does the DART only connect near terminal one? Are the terminals within walking distances? Not familiar with this airport. Thanks
The middle of the train is low floors (no stairs). DART only stops at Terminal A. There is a free shuttle that travels to all terminals upstairs (www.dfwairport.com/shuttles/)
@@HOUExplorer Interesting, thanks. Do you know why they decided on these trains? Why not simply have all the cars at the low level? I don't understand the need for these inside stairs. I would also think they would be a safety hazard. Have you encountered any other systems that have them?
@mrxman581 It’s an old train, built during the 1990s. However, DART is planning to replace all of their rail fleet soon.
@@HOUExplorer I see. Thanks for the information. LA Metro will also replace their 30 year old subway trainsets next year. They actually already received the new ones and will start testing them soon.
This is the last DART video before your return to Houston Texas
Not yet...I have one more tomorrow :)
@@HOUExplorer is there one more video that is going to be uploaded today before your return to Houston Texas
Yes. It should be up shortly :)
And we can barely get one fuckin line down in Austin
Is there no Amtrak to Austin from Dallas?
Or you referring to as in metro train line in Austin?
