I'm going home is a live performance on the Woodstock festival in 1969.
Lyrics:
Goin' home, my baby
Goin' home, my baby
Goin' home, to see my baby
Our baby, how good
My baby, be good
I'm goin' home, my baby
Home to see my girl
Oh baby, baby, I'm coming home
Baby, baby I'm coming home
Tell me Mama, baby, I'm coming home
Gonna see my baby, see my baby fine
Gonna take my baby, wanna take my baby mine
Gonna take my woman treats me real kind
I'm goin' home, my baby
I'm goin' home, to see my baby
Goin' home, my baby
Gonna see my baby, see my baby fine
Take my baby, take my baby mine
Gonna tell your mama how good that love of ours
I'm goin' home, to see my baby
I'm goin' home, to see my baby
Oh, baby ooh
Wanna take you back, take where love belong
Treat me baby, treat, don't treat me wrong
Oh, baby, I'm rollin'
Baby, baby, I'm rollin'
Baby, baby, I'm rollin'

This is a VERY edited version of the performance. There is far more to enjoy in the unedited version - blues, rock n roll, excellent support from Leo on the bass and Chick on the keyboards, with Ric keeping the beat steady throughout. Best performance of the festival imho, even better than Santana and Country Joe and the Fish!
by far the best performance at Woodstock IMO
If we are staying on Woodstock I would think that Reali's inclination toward passion, soul, and a bit of raspiness would make Joe Cocker a super obvious recommendation.
"Joe Cocker - With a little help from my friends. Woodstock"
Alvin Lee, also sometimes referred to as the fastest guitar in the west. Phenomenal blues/rocker. I'd recommend do some exploration of Ten Years After's studio music. A good place to start would be with a song called I'd Love To Change The World, or Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, or perhaps a personal fun favorite called Baby Won't You Let Me Rock & Roll You.
I’M GOING HOME.
Home to see my wife.
😃⚡️♥️🎸
my quintessential, Ten Years After, Alvin Lee song is 50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain.
hear me calling is also a great song.
lots of great songs. The albums are worth a listen.
Cricklewood Green is their best album.
rest in peace Alvin Lee, Captain Speed Fingers
⚡️♥️🎸⚡️✌️
Alvin Lee & Ten Years we’re the hit of Woodstock.Alvin Lee was the fastest guitar in the West!
First time I saw this movie I was tripping balls. This song almost had me on the floor, his strumming had my jaw on the floor. I love Ten Years After. You may want to check out "I'd Love to Change the World". It's a great, slow song by them.
That was the short version, that song went close to 15 min. You ought to listen to the long version. I was at Woodstock so i know!!!
Next up from Woodstock - Sly and the Family Stone - Want To Take You Higher. A soul/funk/rock masterpiece!
Great suggestion!
Yeah. A great suggestion.
The reason he says I'm going home by Helicopter is because that was the only way in and out for some of the artists who peformed at Wooodstock due to the massive traffic jams caused by 400,000 people
Holy shit thats crazy!
@@reali_ Later on you get to see Metallica in Soviet Moscow when more than a million people showed up for their first Western rock concert.
Unfortunately this is a massively edited version. You should see the entire performance. Epic!
You got to listen to the blueist blues by Alvin Lee and George Harrison
The guy playing like a nutburger was the bassist. Rare to see a bassist play that frenetically and with such precision.
One of the best RnR bands of that era.............listen, learn and enjoy - BTW I WAS "back in the day", damn near 70 and BTDT with these great bands.
Night time Temps were from 54 to 64 degrees depending on the day.
You should listen to the man play the blues. Huge talent. :)) BTW, great reaction. Very observant.
Alvin Lee! Great reaction! Please react to Band-Maid. A Rock band that takes no prisoners. Have a chill day!
Hey,...I saw them many years ago. Too bad this is not the whole video of Ten Years After performance at Woodstock.
Thousands of likes by 1970s AIR GUITARISTS!
Check out the album.
whatever you think of this performance, it is obvious that Alvin Lee is a virtuoso. Was disappointed you did not mention this in your reaction. Very few guitarists that good. Technical ability is just one component, but please show some respect.
You should turn it up buddy!
It's not cold It's the dew 0olnt this is woods9ck and it's August so it's not cold
glad you liked it mate...you were right..he was totally cranked on amphetamines....peace
The studio versions totally different. Jim
Part of song was just skat singing not really words. When your high your high.
Dude, this is called "rockin' out." That's ok, you don't know what it is. You probably think you do, but you don't. Nobody can do it now. I bailed when you made the remark about it being cold and Alvin Lee's "being on something," rather than noticing that this guy is doing something you've never seen before. If you want to dispute that, go ahead, tell me what rock guitarist today could even come close to the level at which Alvin Lee is playing in this performance. But I don't think you even noticed. So, if you ever actually feel like investigating why music today sucks so bad and why it was so great back in the 60s and 70s, I might tune back in to your reactions.
Sounds like Elvis???? Why? because they're both speaking English?
