oh my gosh...i can see where tracy got her talent, beauty & intelligence from. what a lady. i remember the first time i ever saw tracy. she was on a late night talk show. the next day i went out and bought her cd. every school day i had to drive my youngest daughter to her school 25 miles away. we played that CD all the way there & back in the afternoon. the interviewer is awesome too. i can tell she is genuine. what a great interview.
I'm so glad I found this interview when I was listening to Tracy's songs. What an interesting, talented, and tenacious woman Hazel is! I'll bet she has a lot more stories to tell and hope she writes a book!
I love Tracy so much! I think she is a LEGEND, and she is STILL so gorgeous!! I love this interview, and their families values!! Even though I am white, I was so lucky to grow up around dynamic women like Hazel, in New Jersey! My grandmother had the BEST friends!

I recall when typing was the rage. If one knew had to type with a certain speed and limited mistakes they were more apt to get hire quickly barring any experience. So at 13 she must have been some typist in order to get hired and also get hired to teach people to type. So essentially she was just a smart young lady.
