A hypothetical design for a Shimakaze-class destroyer armed with a 127 mm dual-purpose twin-gun mount. Its distinctive feature was the use of fixed ammunition and a greater rate of fire. This would have enhanced the ships capability to engage enemy aircraft at high altitudes and granted her an advantage in firepower against opposing light forces.

He hardly used his guns, if he was gonna play mainly as a torp boat, he should have brought the Shimakaze instead.
