I love Hank Williams and his music "I Saw the Light" is my favorite song of his! What a very cool yet chilling piece of country music history indeed but those were some good looking burgers especially the "I Can't Help It" Burger, definitely didn't skimp on the bacon and good price for the food as well! Thanks for sharing, will have to try this place next time I'm in Bristol Lord willing!
Definitely try out Burger Bar! You will be glad you did. Get one of those shakes too! I love listening to Hanks songs on the internet. We actually visited the boarding house he lived in with his mother in Alabama. We visited his grave and put out a CZcams video on that! He had one interesting life to have died at 29 years old. Gone way too soon.

Looks like a great place to eat. Love the retro look. The food looked really good. It would have been really cool if they knew Hank actually did eat in there and where he sat. The prices looked really fair. Thanks for sharing. We're definitely going to hit that place up.
From everything I’ve read he did not go on. His driver was interviewed and he said he didn’t go in. But you are right if you could actually go in and sit where Hank sat. You definitely need to try here. Those burgers are amazing. Hope y’all are good!

The owner was awesome. He could give lessons in customer service and hospitality. Everything we had here was amazing. We can't recommend this place enough. You would definitely love the fries here!

I LOVE this place. It's a must-do stop when I'm working in Bristol and have time to kill for a real lunch break!
Next time you're in town, you should check out Blackbird Bakery (just 2 blocks north of here on Peidmont St). They have good coffee and amazing desserts!
We LOVED the Burger Bar. Good food and excellent service. We can't say enough good things about this place. Funny thing is the Blackbird Bakery is on our list. David does transports for the sheriff's office and saw the Blackbird Bakery (not the location close to Burger Bar but the other) and told me that we needed to review it. You are the second person to recommend it after seeing the Burger Bar video. We definitely will be doing it.
Another note- I watched your video earlier on the tv and did not make a comment but you had Gus's Fried Chicken on there. We have not been to the Knoxville location but went to the Memphis location twice on our trip in December. We absolutely love there and can't wait to get to the Knoxville location.

We do most of your youtube watching on TV together and often don't comment for that very reason. The Piedmont St Blackbird is the better of the two and is located in an old Masonic Temple building which is kind of neat. As for Gus's, I honestly stopped eating fried chicken years ago as the quality went so far down hill anywhere you'd go and Gus's helped me find my love for it again. My wife (an avid chicken lover) is happy to have that part of her life back! 🤣

We can not say enough good things about the Burger Bar. If you like a good hamburger, this is the place to go. Carly's shake reminded me of how shakes use to be made. So yummy! This is a must stop if in the Bristol area. We just got back from Pigeon Forge. It was one windy drive but we made it without any issues.

The owner was very friendly with his customers. That’s a big deal.
The burgers 🍔 looked delicious and I liked when the cheese is actually melted and gooey.
I couldn’t believe how many flavors were on the chalkboard. It would be a hard decision.
We go to The Red Roost in Maryland and the building was an actual chicken coop at one time. They have dollars all throughout the restaurant and ceiling. We put ours above the cash register in the room where they sell their merch.
I am always thrilled to see it and it still alone so you can’t miss it!
David, I love onion rings too especially if they are hand dipped and fried.

Lots of flavors for sure for the milkshakes. That milkshake was so good and was fixed like an old fashioned shake. So yummy!

I'm not sure if there was another Burger Bar that is associated with this one. I do know that the owner of this one was friendly and hands on with his business. That burger was outstanding. Looks like another place I'm going to have to stop for a burger at. My first job in broadcasting was as a C & W DJ, Saturday & Sunday mornings, 6 AM -Noon at a long-since defunct 1,0000 watt daytime-only AM station. (It became a cellular site in the mid-1980's...) That was fifty years ago. Music can be a tough existence. Sometimes, it's not even a "life". Perhaps a look at Patsy Cline might be worthwhile?
You definitely need to stop here for a burger. Delicious food and great service. Love the old feel of this diner. We actually did a video of Patty Cline's childhood home in Winchester, VA. We also visited her grave and paid our respects to Patsy. Another great gone way too soon. I would like to go to crash site as well. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

I told David that I felt this would be a good video when we left the Burger Bar. We both felt good about the footage that we got there. It has been on our list for awhile and we were so glad to finally get there. As you know from our videos we are huge country fans so this was special for us.

dale earnhardt actually gave his life to JESUS shortly before he crashed and died. I was across the street eating dinner with my wife when he crashed that day. the whole restaraunt was silent due to the news. anyways you will see him in heaven
Praise God that he was saved before that accident. Dale was David’s favorite driver. NASCAR had not been the same since that tragic day. We remember the day just like it was yesterday. There will never be another #3.

That must have been shot about 4 or 5 years ago. Because the big Building across from the railroad tracks is got billboards painted on it so that this has had to be made a long time ago.

Did you check out the black bird bakery right down the street from Burger bar. You missed out if you didn't.
We did not check it out because we were so full from the Burger Bar. It's funny that you mention the black bird bakery because it is on our list of places to go. David works for the sheriff's office and often does transports. He ran across the other location on a transport and told me that he felt we needed to do a review there.
