    Some clarifications
    1. Salary increment wmd inflation not included cause if salary increases, toh mehengai bhi badhegi so baat barabar hai
    2. I should have included atleast 2 cars over 30 year period, so add that in ur calculations

    Why salaried people dont have savings?
    Marriage... It's the root cause of every problems. Wife's money will remain her, husbands money is family's money. So he will never save anything for himself.
    I m 38 divorced from mumbai. My wife used my body, my money n drained me emotionally. Daily arguments, no work at home, no respect, no financial contribution, no true love and threat me every day and doubts on me and had eye on my money and property.
    Best solution is to stop marriage, no kids and stay stress free life with lovely pets and parents and save money for ur self. kids after some age don't stay with parents to look after in old age.

I have recently bought a car for myself which I feel happy everyday driving. And yes, it fit into the requirement of not being more than 2 years income. I too use iPhone and ave bought the latest model, and it also gives me immense happiness everyday. I don’t know for how long I will be on this earth, but I feel we can spend well to enhance the quality of our life. I would like to add what my father advised me. Whatever job or work you do, whatever might be your monthly income. Still make sure to have another source of income from where you can make at least 25k extra each month. This 25k might sound very less but having it extra can reduce a lot of financial burden and stress. My father was a govt employee with 48k salary but he also ran a small Chemist shop in my grandmother's name, so he had a nice second source of income. I'm also going to follow him

    Facts! I can relate to the house part! I feel a house is a 2-3 generation property. Many of us have lost a house due to partition and as we had to migrate to a new city for a job.
    I suggest investing in a plot though on the outskirts of the city and live close to the office & school to get more time in hand for focusing on career and children. If you have a remote option, then you can live in the outskirts to reduce expenses. Cities are expanding so every suburb will develop today or tomorrow. Not commenting on other things.

    Baccho ki shaadi is one of the most vain expenses that people feel pressurised to incur. I am not taking about those who can easily afford it but the problem is with those who want to ape the super rich class. Give your children good education fund their college edu if you can, shaadi should be self funded which will also ensure that folks don't go over budget trying to get married. If you want to support during wedding then give the money to your children as an fd and let them decide how to invest it.

    Pranjal ji, this comment comes from my heart. I watch many videos from many finfluencers. Being a banker, I too advise my customers to save and invest. I did find out these major expenses of our life too but most of the finfluencers say to live a frugal life. Many talk about financial freedom which has been in trend in recent days. I am an old school person and believe in simple ways of living, saving and investment. The bifurcation of salary and also person wise in a family is the reality. The presentation of this life upgradation is the reality and you have said it in very simple manner. Thank you for understanding the true middle class. Most of us are in the same boat. If you are reading my comment, I would request you to make a detailed video of savings, investment strategy and retirement of government employees as this is one of the most not spoken topic. Every finfluencers assume 10% incremental salary and calculate the returns. But we have totally different salary structure where 50:30:20 rule is a bit tricky too. Gross and net salary has huge differences. So, this is a request from a youtube friend to decode this confusion. Love from Sandipan. ❤

    Bahut khoob, PK bhai, kaafi gehri socch👌 I appreciate the simplicity in the assumption of maintaining a steady income, as inflation tends to offset any increments. Lifestyle inflation often surpasses the increase in wholesale prices. Some individuals may be overly optimistic about significant salary increases, but they should consider that these increments level off as they age. Therefore, it is wise to make conservative assumptions regarding salary growth when engaging in financial planning. Additionally, we have not factored in household expenses such as home maintenance, fuel, groceries, dining, holidays, insurance, and domestic help, which can sometimes add up to as much as 40% of take-home income.

    I understand your premise nicely but i do have some glaring omissions and simplifications that make this video less effective
    1. Inflation not accounted for
    2. Increment not accounted for. (For now i am assuming that increment is the same as inflation so they cancel each other out….but if this is the assumption then it should’ve been mentioned)
    3. 1 car cant be used for 35 years of life. Government itself doesn’t allow a vehicle to run if its 10 years older in cities like delhi. Atleast in a period of 35 years 3 cars would be taken to sustain.
    These come out as glaring mistakes that are very obvious. But if i delve deeper there are a few more.

    • @pranjalkamra
      @pranjalkamra  Před 9 měsíci +7
