I've got most of Powkiddy and Anbernic handheld devices and I have to say this is still one of my favourites I still play today it's just so comfortable and the buttons are near perfection 👍🏼
I have this Arc-S, RG556 and PK X55. The Arc-S is the one I usually grab for because it's so comfortable to hold.
Finally a 6 button handheld!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the ARC-S and it's criminally underappreciated. Probably Anbernic's best well-built device and I dedicate mine mainly to Sega games
Same here but, I need to put better firmware on it. Some Saturn games and
arcade SEGA games won't run well for me.
Rocknix works really well for me
Retro Arena worked out the best for mine. Sega bliss!
I bought this for myself for Xmas last year. I made a sd card just with all sega titles for this little handheld. Good times. If i have one gripe. If it only had a left analog stick like dreamcast controller and it would be one of the best Sega Console/arcade emulator.
Anbernic ,a brand that's a underdog..still learning,(and flying beneath the radar) because its a "young" brand. It would not be surprised that they will being a serious competition in the near future... I will give them about 10 yrs.. there is a lot work to be done,but there is chance when giving them a chance.. at least,thats my pov
I just got the S model last week. It really does have the best controls of any handheld i've used. They nailed that Sega feel completely. As a plus I was able to take the SD cards with Rocknix installed from my RG353p and drop them into the Arc and they ran without a hitch.

I love the Arc-D. I use it every day. The dpad and button layout are just amazing. Triggers are nice too. Its just comfortable. Great handheld.

This is a cool design for a handheld, definitely one of my favorites.
I hope Anbernic recreates the design from the Dreamcast controller for a future handheld.

I like that it plays videos. There is a lot of great TV series in 4:3 that I wish I could play on my R36S.
Sopranos, A-Team, Dallas, ect.
Love the saturn controller look
I've had one for a couple months. It wasn't until this week that I found out it's a gamepad for pc. I used it for a player two on some street fighter 3 alpha. Lost but, it wasn't the controllers fault.

Es que el diseño está directamente inspirado en el mando de la Sega Saturn. Es mi diseño favorito de todas las consolas portátiles que ha sacado Anbernic hasta ahora.
Ojalá más adelante hagan una con el diseño del mando de la Dreamcast.
Love the design of this one! Thanks for posting the link so I can check the price. I have been waiting to see if there would be a Mega Drive-style Android handheld for a while now. I always think it would be cool to have Android on my 3DS for when my phone runs out of battery power, or if I just want to go somewhere and not risk losing my phone, so I can see the appeal of this.

I was going to say this thing really needs analog sticks that's what's stopping me from getting it but looking at that floating d-pad that's basically just an analog stick

Anbernic should release an updated version with better chipset, with analog sticks and more compact in size.
I prefer original hardware but when it and about I've been mostly fine with using my phone and a Bluetooth controller. But this is the first time I've seen a system like this I would consider just for form factor and comfort. Time to look it up and see if the weak yen gives me second thoughts...
You just need to push select for Saturn. That's all. Now, I find that on the Arc S it needs a
better firmware. The Saturn emulator they give you and it's not the only one. Is not up to
par in potential performance. That said, I love this device and am very grateful it is out.
I can't tell you how often I am still surprised at how good it looks and plays. That said.
I would absolutely love it if we got newer more modern SEGA styled devices. Too many
Nintendo fetishists and Sony ponies around in the handheld space. We could make some
really awesome SEGA styled handhelds.
.... Sega fanboy. 6-button layouts came to the arcade way before Sega did it on Genesis. Street Fighter 1 had a 6-button layout back in '87.
Sometimes I consider getting multiple handhelds, just to have one for each of my favorite old systems (A genesis one, gameboy one, NES, and playstation), so I have buttons that fit each system better. Other times, I want to just spend that full sum on one really good device (Like the steamdeck).
The button layout makes such a difference though. Especially on genesis, it feels so different to have the modern button layout.

like the controls. hate that it's android. i'll skip. things like this i would only use if it's windows or linux or some custom OS that has nothing to do with android.
The Arc-D lets you dual boot between android and Linux. When he changes to the "other launcher" that is not android. It's the same front-end used on the cheaper Arc-S which is only Linux, no android.
