I like to think that being as Knull and Galactus are immortal because they predate the existence of the entity "death"...
They literally were developed before the concept of dying was formed and therefore this wasn't included into the design.

knull is primordial, galactus is not. Galactus originally was a part of the universe where the concept of "the end" was already there whereas knull was there before the concept of matter, space ,time, beginning or the end therefore knull can be defeated but not killed but not exactly the case for Galactus, so to speak

Knull came before this incarnation of the universe (6th one currently I believe?) just like Galactus who's a survive of the previous one. But Knull didn't exist yet with the previous universe, he just came before the current one

Personally, I would love to see Knull as the next major villain in the MCU. He's powerful, he's terrifying and has so much potential to change the MCU forever, much like Thanos did.

They could do this. They have the chopped off of nowhere. They now have venom in mcu. And in Thor 4 Love and Thunder, Gorr the God butcher is the villain (who has the necro sword). All those together could have the heroes question where the sword came from
After Kang it will be between galactus and knull. Externals set up a way to bring in galactus, and Thor might set up Knull.
I think it could be very possible. In eternals, they tease black knight and Knull is a big villain to black knight.

I love this expansion on the Venom mythos, especially the part about Weapon V. Love the idea of a team of symbiote enhanced soldiers. Wish we got more of something like that when we had Mercury Team.

If Sony does a live action Into the Spiderverse they could bring him in. If I remember right, during a convergence event there were Spidermen from different universes,including one from our own Universe,where Spiderman is just an actor playing a part in a film. If they brought in Toby to do that role,it would be a riot.

You know what would make a really good team up . The Symbiote God and Mr Sinister. Mr Sinister has already had the Carnage symbiote and somehow removed the sentience. He then transferred multiple mutant genes into the symbiote giving the creature multiple powers. Knull would find Mr Sinister a valuable ally. Mr Sinister would have an entire world to experiment upon .

Actually, some of the symbiote explanations, about Venom being the exception to the rule, was explained waaaaaay back in 1995. In the Planet of the Symbiotes specials. Chronologically these are just before Amazing Spider-Man #400.

Very intrigued at the concept of bringing Knull into the MCU! Think a villain of his power would bring about the need to re-form the Avengers in some capacity.
You didn't mention that he decapitard a Celestial with his sword, then went on to kill countless more celestials before they brought him down. Feels like you're underselling him
Knull could be the Emboidiement and king of nothingness and darkness, hence why he is immortal yet not as powerful as the cosmic beings.

They retconned the origin of the symbiote spider symbol so now it's actually some alien DRAGON symbol.

MCU has just found how they can follow up after Thanos and the Infinity War perfectly partners with Sony! The only thing is how do you make Knull as good as a villain as Thanos was. Forge and the Russo brothers will find a way! They are going to give Knull a better reason for what he is doing. It would be a movie where he would be the main character. He would be the Protagonist in the story for sure according to Dramatica Grand Argument Theory which is as follows: 1) protagonist is someone whose role in the story is to Pursue a goal, to Consider pursuing a goal.
2)the Antagonist's role is directly in opposition to the Protagonist's role in the story and vice versa. The Antagonist is someone whose role in the story is to provide a reason for the protagonist to Reconsider pursuing his objective and an impetus to stop pursuing his / her objective. 3) the Guardian Character is someone whose role in the story is to encourage and help someone in the story, preferably the Protagonist, or perhaps the Antagonist depending on the story you are telling. 4) the Contaganist role in the story is directly in opposition to the Guardian's Role in the story and vice versa. Their role in the story is to Tempt away from considering their goal and to hinder the pursuit of that objective someone in the story, preferably the Protagonist for the story in question to question, but perhaps it is the Antagonist, and to Hinder the progress of the character in the story in question, preferably the Protagonist, but perhaps it is the Antagonist.
5) The main character is the character through which the audience views and experiences the story and their argument
6) the Impact character is directly opposite the main character and presents the opposing argument or point of view to the main character's point of view. The Main Character and Impact Character often are given the archetypes of Protagonist and Antagonist but not necessarily. These two can be any one of the Archetypes presented if the author chooses them they just have to be in opposition to one another for the theory to work.
These are primary roles in a story, in general, to make it push forward. there are four other character Archetypes in the story( skeptic, sidekick, emotion, and reason respectively ) who I will not delve into for this discussion. Look them up on Dramatica CZcams channel, where Melanie Ann Philips the theory's co-creator, has almost 200 videos explaining the theory in depth. It is essentially a class on her and co-creator Chris Hundley's book Dramatica and the Software associated with the book and theory. It's in the form playlist that you can click. each 5 to 10-minute video play one right after the other. or send it as a playlist to your channel and play each video in the playlist a little at a time. But I digress. I said all of that to lay down the foundation for my point I am trying to make without it being too nebulous to grasp. In the Infinity War Thanos is the Protagonist. The Avengers are as a team the Antagonists. Although Iron Man is the main foil through which the Impact CHARACTER is expressed. Thanos is the Main Character of the Infinity War. That is why the Russo brothers split up the movie and made the End game another story where Thanos is not the Main Character though he is the Protagonist still. They are going to have to approach it the same way with Knull. Going forward that is how they should do all of the Avengers movies. It just works better that way. It solves their weak villain problem, particularly in the Avengers team movies. Super Heroes are generally the Antagonists although they are also the Main Character in how it is told. The Russo brothers figured it out makes the Supervillain the main character since they are usually the protagonists. They are usually scheming to con accomplish something and then barreling down their life path to accomplish their missions without regard to morality and laws. The Russo brothers then went on to Superheroes the Impact Character and the Antagonists since they usually are trying to foil the Supervillain's plans and efforts to manifest those plans in the world. They fit together better this way and this way you are not fighting against yourself to write the story, it flows better logically as a story as well. Plus it gives breadth and depth to the Supervillain's throughline within the overall story and in contrast to the Superhero's throughline. The Maw was the Guardian character or perhaps you can say it was Bruce Banner playing that role to Tony Stark and the Earthbound Avengers. Gamora was the Contaganist. Thanos was tempted to not go through with getting the soul stone because he loved Gamora as his favorite daughter and heir apparent. He did not want to kill her at any cost, but he was put at the crossroads of choosing to not kill Gamora. He was like I didn't pursue my destiny once before and lost my entire homeworld. I can not go through that again. Too much is at stake for me not to follow through with whatever is necessary to achieve my goal in life. I gave them a viable option left the choice to them to make, and look how that turned out. Now I must choose to do this for the Universe because I am the only one who understands why this choice must be made. The Infinity Gauntlet is my path to make that choice as easily as snapping my fingers. I must not be denied the opportunity to make that choice. Even if it means I have to kill you the greatest love of my life to get it. They replaced Death in the comic books with Gamora and gave her the Archetypical Role of Contagonist. She even hindered him by a)trying to kill him b) trying to have Starlord kill her c) lying that she did not know where to find the Soulstone d) attempting to kill herself when she realized that the only way for him to acquire the Soulstone was to sacrifice his heir apparent, the one person he loved above anyone else. He was even willing to torture his daughter who was not his heir apparent because he knew that she loved her sister and would tell him the truth to save her life. If Knull is the new big bad they are going to have to do the same thing to flesh his character out. The contagonist is key to making a story work well if you can understand and manifest the other Archetypes in a story. That is the Russo's legacy to the Super Hero genre. Everyone should take heed to their example going forward. Including whoever writes and directs the next Superhero team movies in the MCU. This is what was wrong with the Xmen and Fantastic Four movies, they hadn't solved the math of writing the scripts for Super Hero movies. Heck, I postulate that the Comic Book industry generally had not fully understood this. I just grasped it after studying Dramatica for almost 20 years. Imagine trying to figure it out without the framework and epistemology of the aforementioned Dramitica writing theory? The Russo brothers are truly geniuses. Real talk.

When the Celestials met Knull, he immediately made the All Black Necro Sword from his new now existing shadow and instantly decapitated one. That’s how we got Nowhere.

But his reference, in absolute carnage about the huge event ,in curtains now , was better. Don't you think?
Knull would actually be pretty hard to make him look scary and serious without looking cheesy both CGI wise and thematically. Take Morbius for example, if you make even a small mistake it completely ruins the tension of the character and can even run the risk of becoming a huge meme.

Actually, I would like the Knull be the Big bad for Sony's Venom Cinematic Universe. It just ties everything together and gives Sony an excuse to go bigger and badder until the end.

Likely at some point but he’s still way too powerful to be a phase’s main villain for the foreseeable future. By his feats in King In Black like making celestials his pawns despite them being god like with being able to create or destroy what they want without the infinity stones and nearly killing Thor despite him still being cosmic powered up so he could fight The Black Winter during his solo run 😮
It's 2020 and we finally got to see how powerful Knull is . Tearing the SENTRY in half and destroying the AVENGERS AND XMEN with ease.

When you mentioned the All-Black Necro-Sword, did you mean the one Gorr used in God-Butcher series? Because they showed a different origin for it in that storyline (unless they retconed it or its a different universe)...
