I am enjoying so much your video today, as I can see the places that are reflected in the book. Thanks a lot, you guys, that is really rewarding! Well done. That´s right! Guastavino was Spanish from Valencia and he built some 250 buildings in NYC and more than one thousand in the rest of the country. His specialty was the flame retardant tiles he used to cover domes and ceilings. Great architect, indeed.

So happy to see more vids from you actually back out and about in the city :)

The Wall St. bombing was quickly cleaned up as to avoid a bank panic. The bomb left a crater in the street and was filled in by the end of the day.
Chambers St. has three separate stations. The 1 2 3, the A C, and the J Z. Which one? I assume the J Z since it's near a cluster of NYPD facilities...

As you walked into Cannon's Walk, I had to pause the video because my main thought was "I recognize that area!" I didn't recognize Cannon's Walk itself, since I didn't realize that area existed. Rather, I recognized the building you walked through to get to it. A few years ago, some friends and I sat on those colorful benches enjoying our ice cream from Big Gay Ice Cream.

Being Irish I was intrigued as to why there's an obelisk dedicated to Robert Emmet in Manhattan, so I done some reading. It's not actually dedicated to Robert Emmet, it's to his older brother Thomas Emmet, who went to America and became a lawyer after Robert died in the failed Irish rebellion of 1803.

Johnny Culver that wasn’t the extraordinary thing. He said there was another obelisk _exactly_ in the middle of point A and point B.

It is Thomas Emmet's memorial in St. Paul's Chapel. He was brother to Robert Emmet. Thomas came to America and was a lawyer. Robert Emmet was hung by the British in Ireland in 1803.

Definitely vist Lombardi's it may look like another pizza slice shop in NYC. But its actually the oldest pizzeria in The Americas. Go there and you can get a literal "slice of history"

This is my neighborhood so I knew about the JP Morgan building and have done Cannons walk before. Thanks for the video tour, always fun to see and definitely have Ariel on again! Check out the Fidi Fan page on FB for more information about the neighborhood including history.
