    My 2010 Camry XLE doesn't have a push button start. However, I followed your procedure. While holding down the trip reset and turning the Key to on, but not starting the car, the reset occurred. There was no need to press anything twice, in my case. Worked! Thanks!

    Just to let you know. The 5k "Oil change" is not a oil change. It is just inspection and tire rotation. Most new Toyota are 10k oil change.

      Ah.... Makes sense, I have a 06 Lexus GS300, my dad got the 2011 Camry... They both have different intervals.

    • @charlestilley2576
      @charlestilley2576 Před 6 lety +1

      I do mine every 5,000 miles, although using Mobil Advanced Synthetic Oil (the best). Says '15,000 mile guaranteed performance', yet no way will I run the oli (nor not change their same brand of filter) for that long. When was working & going 20 miles each way, went 7,500 (per manual for highway), now every 5,000 (short trip/city).
      It needs it also, the proof is the oil after 3,500-4000 miles begins to discolor fast, that color is accumulated dirt (the oil doing it's job). That's a good indicator of when to change, could be less than 5,000 miles in extreme conditions, such as dusty areas. One thing to keep in mind, driving with very dirty engine oil means more wear/tear on engine, oil consumption begins. Once started, not self-healing, will get worse over time, no matter how often oil is changed. May also cause damage to emission components when the smoke from burning oil reaches these.
      Point being, while a good idea to reset after oil change, don't do it beforehand, otherwise may forget the most important step to keep the Toyota going strong for 275,000-350,000 miles.
