Stakesy’s new Planishing hammer review and demonstration

Hello and welcome to my latest tool purchase and review.
I’ve just received the new stakesy’s planishing hammer and in this video I put it through its paces on some test pieces I have to see how it copes.

Once you mentioned the hammer could be used off the stand, sold it for me!
Some clumsy forgetful sole left a hammer in my mini body shell, which was on
the rotisserie. Turned the shell 180°, the hammer dropped and left a beautiful ding in the roof.
The hammer will fix it in no time without overreaching.

Congrats on the purchase!
I remember years ago (when I made one from scrap) I was not aware of the advantage of lubricating the panel. What a difference!
Nice to see someone using hearing protection. Hearing aids just don't compare to working ears. Sadly, I know.
Would they have loaded the tubes with sand or something to make it quieter? I'm been told that it helps.

Hey joe . I got hearing problems too so I definitely need the protection. Yes lube on the panel makes a huge difference. Possibly loading the tubes up may make a difference but that hadn’t really crossed my mind as it was much more bearable than the other one I got.

I have ordered from them to Finland before 🤔 the only problem I have had is that they don’t ship without the VAC
