    I just bought one. Perfect for my needs. In one press of a button, the screen switches to HDMI which allows me to play my Nintendo

    You have the Intel XE GFX version. If you wanted to benchmark GFX you should have chosen the NVidia M550 version

    Thanks for the review. I've been looking at this i7 machine, but three things stop me 1) Poor video. 2) I have no need for touch screen, and as soon as I choose non-touch, all the specs get downgraded. 3) Dell no longer allows you to really configure the unit as you want it. Also looking at HP, but Envy 32 no longer available and the Envy 34 is too big and terrible aspect ratio. They also don't allow configuration so if you want two drives, they cut the video and the memory. Grrrr

    Thanks for the review. I agree ports on the back are a pain to use especially the SD slot. I've had to buy/connect an extension to give me USB & SD easy access from the front. Don't find the position of the power button is an issue. Have owned the m/c for about two months now and W11 crashes about once a week. Re-booting is not an issue though. The 27" screen is a little too large for me as it sits on my desk about 50cm away. Overall very happy with the computer.

      Hello, How is the screen? Are text pix elated? Like you I also sit 20 inch/50 cm away. Is it manageable despite glossy screen and not so clear text? Thanks.

    Okay for work I guess but really you can get the same spec with better stuff for $1,289. To build your pc, tho 1070 and the same cpu. Plus 32gbs of ram and 1Tb ssd with 2TB HDD. I would only pay $600-$700 for this. You pay $100 for just the touch screen. Also include of earlier of the $1,289 you get a 1440p 27 in for $150. This AIO PC isn’t a good deal if you wanna play games.

    Yeah, it's weird that they didn't at least make the USB-C port USB 4/TB3.
    I just bought one of these with a broken screen for ~$280 shipped, I'm hoping to strip out the motherboard and use it with an external monitor. IDK if it'll even work at all when I get it, the seller just said that it "powers on". I figured that for that price, I'll roll the dice and see if it'll work to replace my old Intel NUC.
    It has the i7-1255u and the MX550 so it'll be a big upgrade, but I wish that it had TB support so I could add an external GPU, but it looks like that won't be the case. It also looks like the USB-C doesn't support DisplayPort out, it doesn't list USB-C under display connectivity, but the documentation says that you can use it with Dell Docking Stations which seems odd to me.
    If mine ends up working, I'll be sure to check it out the USB-C capabilities and report back. Thanks for the summary and teardown!

      hey did it work with an external display ? im planning to do the same as well.

    • @niceatpingpong
      @niceatpingpong Před měsícem

      @@RandomGuy-om1vynope. I reached out to dell support and they said there was no way to do it. I even swapped the ssd to another computer, finished the setup and swapped it back in, but I think there’s something in the bios that needs to be enabled and maybe some drivers that need to be installed. I gave up and ended up buying a minisforum mini pc instead.

      @RandomGuy-om1vy Před měsícem

      @@niceatpingpong if its not outputting to external display, you can buy one of those m.2 pcie to x16 adapter to connect a gpu and it'll boot for sure into it.

    USB-C to me is not great, the ports seem to wear out too quickly. On phones and laptops, i've had issues with both. I love the magsafe style of connection, very easy to clean.

      Maybe don't rest the device cable-side down when your using it? I've never had any issue with USB c wearing out.

    I prefer USB 3.1 which is not old gen has the same speed as type c the connector for old school type a is better than type c in every way i hate type c they break and the ports break all the time. Another issue I have is that adapter for type A to type c usb ports dont work with some cables at all and I have had some film and photo scanning gear that wont work with newer USB ports and adapters

    Nice machine I bought one last week on sale $1,049.. However the keyboard and mouse are poorly designed and CHEAP! The aaa batteries last about 3 days then you start getting low battery warnings pop up on screen. Wound up installing a USB ported keyboard. My HP IQ 506 wireless keyboard from 13 years ago batteries would last for weeks on end ! PONDEROUS DELL !!!!
