This is such an awesome conversation. I love that Salomon went out to those almost "conspiratorial" topics but talked of them through a biblical lens. The way he talked about sacrifice was really really cool too. It seems like Jesus is really reaching into the filmmaking world. Love the path you're on Carlo.

Its so good to hear people i look up to having the exact same struggles i do. The warped perception about other peoples work you get from social media and comparing yourself to that is a tough one for me.

I love that you're talking about faith publicly! I would 100% encourage you to continue diving into Christianity and what the Bible has to say. It's very true that there are a lot of distortions and even fakes within Christianity. Some are real followers of Christ and some not. However, our imperfections are why we need salvation from God. I'm a follower of Christ and over and over again God has shown me that this world is broken and that there is only hope in Him! God loves you more than you can imagine and wants you to seek Him. He sent His Son Jesus as a sacrifice to die on the cross and take the punishment for our sins, so that those who believe on Jesus and repent of their sins will saved from the just wrath of God.
    Romans 10:9
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Great podcast! DP and father of 2 little ones here. My wife and I strongly agree on not depending on iPads to raise our kids. However, they are amazing in a pinch when you have little to no control over raging toddlers. Road trips and restaurants are two of the few times we allow our kids to use them. Setting hard boundaries is half the battle. If the rule stays consistent our kids respond well, but when there are gray areas they rage when they can't get their way. Context, communication, and consistency help keep things under control, but to the future parents of the world, be prepared to throw your plans out the window. It's way more about adapting than it is planning.

God is calling all of us home.
Christ came as a servant, a teacher, and a storyteller. He used parables not to give clear answers but to make people curious. To get them to think, dig deeper, and uncover the truth that comes from earnestly seeking.
Comparison, depression, addiction, and loneliness plagued me for the past 5+ years because I was trying to be the God of my own life, but the truth was I wasn't even capable of making myself happy. I was/am in need of God the Father who is outside of myself to bring definition and meaning to my life as a son.
My current peace, purpose, and clarity has come through surrender. It's now evident in my art, relationships, and walk in life. Walking with God hasn't made me unrelatable to people. It's finally allowed me to accept myself as Human and find the way through.

Incredible to see 2 of the incredible filmmakers/visual storytellers I look up to, having candid and amazingly brave, open conversations about their faith and this incredible journey it takes you on. Keep up the great work, the great fight, and the great faith. 🤟

This is awesome. Well done Salomon and Giancarlo, the transparency and openness will do more good than you can know. Been following you both for a few years now and to see you both discussing so vulnerably together is a privilege. This inspires me and gives me hope and courage as someone who looks to Jesus and is in a similar world as you both; Thank You.
