Agreed! ❤️ It’s one of my favorite hobbies. Thanks for watching!
Love the yellow bird necklace !!! ❤️🙂
Love fruit glass necklace!!
I really love it too! Thought it was an interesting piece. Thanks for watching! ❤️❤️
I love the mourning brooches.
I do too! Hoping to figure exactly what material these ones are made of. ❤️ Thanks for watching.
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox I think there is a red hot needle test you can do, but real jet can catch on fire so you have to be careful. I watched a video about jet about a year ago, I wish I could remember where I saw it!
I wonder if that is what the holes on the back of the larger brooch are from?🤔 Maybe someone tried that test on it before. I will look up more info on it! Thanks for sharing!!
The little silver brooch with the purple art glass is Blue John. I cannot tell from here if it is genuine or glass imitation. I think it is imitation. The real thing is beautiful. One of my favourites.
Thank you!! I had never heard of blue john before. Thanks for teaching me something new! ❤️
The smallest Victorian brooches are pins for nightwear. In those days correct and proper clothing included jewelry. These tiny brooches were used as closures for sheer bed jackets.😊
Thank you!! I just found a few more of these tiny nightwear pins in another lot. Happy to learn what they are. ❤️❤️❤️
You just popped up in my feed ~ it just so happens that I love Victorian mourning jewellery I've just purchased my first vulcanite pendant and muff chain 🖤 your mourning brooch is a wonderful find. Ohh and i love bakelite too!! The little bug truly is adorable. I've just subscribed ❤
Thank you so much! Mourning jewelry is so interesting and really beautiful I think!! Sounds like you found a really nice piece. Thank you for subscribing and for watching!! ❤️❤️❤️
I just found your channel and I’m obsessed! I watched the video where you discovered that amazing platinum brooch and I was practically cheering for you by myself lol
lol thank you!! Definitely my best jewelry find so far. Thanks for watching! ❤️❤️❤️
The Bakelite pieces you purchased were real bargains-have never found it at the prices you paid.😊
I thought so too! They were not labeled as Bakelite- so I think that particular booth/dealer didn't realize that they were.❤❤
What a steal for the 3d mourning brooch! I’ve never possessed any mourning jewelry so I’m not too familiar with the materials, but I do know Bog oak, vulcanite, Gutta percha and Jet all scratch as brown on unglazed tile so those materials could be possible. Beautiful pieces 😊
Thanks Hannah!! These are some of my first mourning pieces! I know Sundae Baubles did a very helpful video about mourning jewelry that I am going to have to rewatch. I didn’t have any pieces to test when I first watched. ❤️❤️❤️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBoxYes she has great videos! Btw, your package looks like it took a detour out west 😂 I’m sorry you should have received it by now, hopefully it gets to you soon!
lol it’s just taking the scenic route. No worries- I’m sure it’s worth the wait!!
It has arrived!! Just wanted to let you know. It’s absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much. I am going to unbox and share it in my next video. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox Yay I’m so glad it made it- I was getting a little worried! Thank you for letting me know and really excited to see the video, very kind of you 😊
I really liked the black mourning brooch. I loved the Victorian bar pins. Victorian jewelry is so interesting.
I think so too! I’ve been trying to learn more Victorian pieces lately. ❤️ Thanks for watching!
