Hello my friends! 😘 Today I am preparing a delicious recipe with potatoes and canned sardines. A quick and very tasty recipe. Simple, healthy and very tasty. You definitely didn't cook potatoes that way. Very quick recipe. Just cut and boil potatoes and add canned sardines and your family will love it! You have eggs and canned sardines at home❓ Easy recipe One of the best and easiest recipes with fish. Quick and tasty for lunch or as a light dinner! Good quality canned sardines are a fantastic ingredient, delicious! It's cheap and versatile. Flour is not needed! If you love sardines and co. as much as I do, you should try this delicious one. Canned tuna potato casserole can be prepared like this. Its juicy interior with an intense fishy and spicy taste, covered by a golden, crispy crust, makes this dish perfect for a surprise event and one of the best cooking options with canned fish. Potatoes 3 pcs.
Clean and cut into strips.
You can boil potatoes
And then cut.
Boil potatoes until soft.
Add some salt.
1 onion.
Clean and cut.
Heat frying pan.
Add 20g butter.
Melt the butter.
Fry the onion in a pan.
Until golden.
Place a shallow ceramic casserole dish in the oven.
Grease well with butter.
Place half of the boiled potatoes in the dish.
Distribute over the entire surface.
Add fried onion.
Sardines in olive oil (2 cans) 125 g each
Knead the fish lightly and put it in the mold.
Put the second part of the potato in the mold.
Crack 3 eggs into a bowl.
Fat-free cream 1 cup (250 ml).
Salt.
Black pepper.
Whisk the filling and pour into the mold.
Grate 100 g Swiss cheese.
In the oven 200C / 400F / 40 minutes /.

Recette et ingredients
Pommes de terre 3 pieces.
Nettoyer et couper en lanières.
Vous pouvez faire bouillir des pommes de terre
Et puis coupe.
Faire bouillir les pommes de terre jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient tendres.
Ajouter un peu de sel.
1 oignon.
Nettoyer et couper.
Faites chauffer la poêle.
Add 20 g de beurre.
Fair fondre le beurre.
Faire revenir l'oignon dans une poêle.
Jusqu'à doré.
Prenez un plat de cuisson en céramique peu profond dans le four.
Bien graisser avec du beurre.
Ajouter la moitié des pommes de terre bouillies dans le moule.
Repartir sur toute la surface.
Ajouter l'oignon frit.
Sardines a l'huile d'olive (2 boxes) 125g chacune
Petrissez legèrement le poisson et addez-le au moule.
Ajouter la deuxieme partie de la pomme de terre dans le moule.
Cassez 3 oufs dans un bol.
Creme non grasse 1 cup (250 ml).
Le sel.
Poivre noir.
Fouetter la garniture et verser dans le moule.
Râpez 100 g de fromage suisse.
Au four 200C / 400F / 40 minutes /.

Potatoes and fish / seafood are a wonderful combination either cooked separately or combined in one dish like this. Even a cold potato salad with fried fish/smoked fish/shrimp, etc, etc is very good. As I got older my stomach can't seem to handle bread, pasta or rice but potatoes aren't a problem, I love sardines! Definitely going to make this. As others have shown, the variations are endless.

@@dogffdayck6367 Sprats are some small fish just like sardines. They are very good. They are usually smoked and canned, but I have also seen them smoked and dried sold in trays. Of course the later has a much shorter shelf life.

My country is on the Adriatic sea and I am practilcly living in the sea. My grandma didn't do it, my mother didn't do it, I most certanly didn't do it. And sardines are very important cause it is healthy fish. But it is legitimate for everybody to use their way. 🤷 I rest my case

Hi - I saw your recipe, watched your demonstration & went into the kitchen & prepared it. This delicious recipe is now in the oven - have to wait another 20 minutes before we can enjoy it. Pausing my comment until we can eat this & let you know how we liked it. My mouth is watering in anticipation. Okay, we feasted - I loved this dish. I do love Sardines but my Husband does not so he was not as thrilled as I was. I did have to use cheddar cheese on top because we did not have the white Swiss but still delicious. Thank you so much - now I have a way to enjoy Sardines other than what I usually do by just eating it out of the can. Thank you, Judi (from SW Arizona, USA)
I love sardines, I usually make them with pasta (pasta). It is also delicious, but like this, as she did, I had never seen it. I will try it too.

The only sardines I had growing up were my fathers favorite smoked ones. As they weren't very good as an adult I never ate until last week. The brand sardines in EVOO with (lemon) are so great I must try them this way. Need that tang acidics provides. Thank you it looks wonderful. From Florida USA

@Izzy, you can get Season Sardines in EVOO at Publics, Winn Dixie and Costco!
I make soup with tomato sauce packaged sardines. I cut them to small pieces, add a can of evaporated milk, a can of drained small cut tomatoes, some minced garlic, some dry herbs, no salt nor sugar, and some thickening flour and then gently simmer over heat until reaches ready to serve. Amazingly, there is little sardine taste, just a fish flavor. If more tomato taste is desired add some tomato paste before heating. Great and thrifty winter soup to rival the few fish soups available.

I've totally bought into the idea that sardines are one of the healthiest foods that we can eat.
So I've been looking for recipe options that will allow me to enjoy them, rather than just eating them straight out of the can with a couple of crackers.

I got hooked on sardines by having them mashed up with mayonnaise, and spreading them on to the uncooked side of bread grilled one side only, then putting them back under the grill to finish off the sardine side. This recipe looks like just my thing. I will be trying it.

I'll definitely try this, as I love sardines. I will use only full-fat cream though, maybe light cream. Non-fat cream has chemicals to make up for the missing fat and is not healthy. You're having cheese and eggs anyway - how much will you save with the non-fat cream?
What do you expect from dimwits? They'd eat colored sugar water with starch and call it "yogurt" ... But fish with milk/cheese combo is iffy... Try herring with milk/cream - see what happens :)

I like full fat cream as much as anyone, but adding 250 ml of it is going to be significantly plumpen up any dish (and yes it does add significantly more fat and calories than the recommended amount of cheese and eggs). On the other hand, fat-free cream generally is just skim milk with a couple of thickening agents, which is really basic and tame stuff when it comes to food additives. So if you want to make this dish, want it to be significantly lighter and probably a bit less tasty, why not use fat free cream... for most people's diets, it's actually gonna be the healhier choice over real cream.

Very simlar to a dish my mother would make. Reduce the eggs and milk ( or even leave out ), mash everythingn together and form into patties. Then fry in pan. We rarely had hamburgers, but ate fishcakes alot.

Just so happens I have 12 cans of these sardines and didn't know what to do with them! I usually just eat them out of the can with crackers and hot sauce. I am definitely making this today as I have all the ingredients and must try this. Thank you for sharing! I am in Colorado USA.
two ideas for too many sardines. Sometimes they are getting old enough to be a worry whether you should eat them or not but they won't hurt cats and cats love them as a treat or meal replacement. I have also dumped them into a plant hole, like our native Americans prior to planting their corn, and, surprise, my plants have flourished just like their corn. I don't know why but it seems to work every time.

Tasty! If someone experiences an allergic reaction to this dish, it could be the combination of gray fish + dairy. Try salmon, trout or white fish such as snapper instead.

I used to get a stomach ache eating fish with white sauce. I wonder if that would,happen with this recipe?
@@deenas5581 As tasty as it is, it's hard to digest. If you can eat fish and sauce on their own (separately), then you know it's the combination of the two that bothers your stomach.
The egg binder probably eliminates that for most. Perhaps oat milk or something like it for those that this issue matters.
@@carolmaplesden916 Not too sure about your dad's advice there.... Dutch Fish Pie starts with the fish being poached in the milk which forms the white sauce for the pie base. What about poached Salmon with Hollandaise sauce...a very popular dish.
