Explora 1 (Explora Journeys) | Cruise Ship Preview

- With just 461 oceanfront suites and residences, Explora 1, the first of 6 vessels from new cruise line Explora Journeys operated by MSC Cruises, will offer intimate and vibrant public spaces and a guest to crew ratio of almost 1 to 1. Explora Journeys are designed to suit personal preferences with a choice of nine dining venues utilizing locally sourced sustainable ingredients, several indoor and outdoor bars and lounges and spacious wellness facilities.
The ships will also feature 14 decks, generous outdoor spaces with more than 26,000 square feet overlooking the ocean, 64 private cabanas and four pools.
Explora 1 will begin sailing from Southampton, England on an inaugural 15 night Fjords and Artic Circle itinerary, followed by Iceland and Greenland and Canada & New England through the Summer. Other destinations include, Caribbean and Central America, Hawaii, Alaska and Mediterranean.

Beautiful ship. I checked the pricing and Oceania and Seabourn are much less. Hopefully, they will balance their price point to that of other luxury lines. But then no other ship offers 1 to 1.
Hi Veronica, thanks for watching. As with many other cruise lines, prices recently have really increased. When Explora Journeys was first introduced, pricing was at least 40% lower than it is now.

Sadly, a huge fail for both the ship and the cruise line with a recent cancellation of this inaugural voyage just days before departure leaving hundreds of passenger scurrying for how to salvage vacations and pre and post cruise plans. The company has offered full refund of expenses associated with the cancelled trip and a 30% off future voyages which most are declining.
Hi stephenacs, thanks for watching. They wouldn't be the first to have to delay their launch for something and the safety issues found could also affect ships from other lines.
I want to go on this one . For any vacation people have to be ready for things to change and adapt and do whatever you can under your control to get a refund such “trip insurance “ . So far , thank Jesus all my cruises have been smooth from beg to end . The ship and cruise line will do just fine . Things happens whether out of control or under control . I do want to go on this one and experience it . I was recently on a Regent Cruise and would like to compare them . ❤
