a burly beach | OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK | NP #9 of 63

The Burly Bois take a roadtrip out to Washington to visit two of the most incredible parks. First up is Olympic National Park!
Olympic National Park, established in 1938, is home to one of the most diverse ecosystems in the country. With SIX principle biotic communities (coastal forests, lowland forests, temperate rain forest, montane forests, subalpine, and alpine) this park has something for everyone. Personally, my favorite was the 73-mile coastline that was lined with a forest. On this beach, you can also find my new FAVORITE campground: Kalaloch Campground. This place is magical, and I will definitely be coming back.
This video features our most authentic experience here, and features two beaches (kalaloch and ruby beach), fishing on the Hoh river, watching the sunset over the Pacific, backpacking in the Seven Lakes Basin Area, and hiking the High Divide trail. All of which, I highly recommend.
