  • If you try to install this clutch system any other way it will not work, I had built the clutch system first off of the engine & then tried to install it & it just wouldn’t fit, eventually I found out the problem, flywheel has to be installed first then the shoes

      They actually have a special tool to get it off or els tap it off with a hammer

    Is that clutchbell bigger than most?

    • @weekendrc
      @weekendrc  Před 3 lety +1

      No, it’s the AE clutch, I think it looks big because of the closeup

    • @weekendrc

      It actually is installed differently than most, on this one you have to install the flywheel without the shoes first, after you have the flywheel on tight then you go ahead and install the clutch shoes

    Why the marking of bottom dead center on flywheel? Whats the point?

    • @weekendrc
      @weekendrc  Před 2 lety

      That’s only if you’re a beginner it’s more of a tip for a beginner a experienced person probably doesn’t need it, but it’s so you know if your piston is at the bottom visually pretty much

      @@weekendrc But why do you need to know that? Or when does your piston need to be in that exact position? :)

    • @weekendrc
      @weekendrc  Před 2 lety

      @@dieseldoesthings527 it’s good to know because if your piston is not at bottom bead center after a run you need to get it down because if it’s at top and your engine cools down the piston can get stuck and if it gets stuck up at top your probably going to have to take your engine apart or use unnecessary force to bring the piston to the bottom that’s why it’s important that your piston is at bottom dead center after every run hopefully this answers your questions
