2024 TITANS OF TALLINGTON MARCH 30th

Well it was the first Grasstrack meeting of the 2024 season, and it certainly was a chance for the riders to blow the winter cobwebs away. The GT140cc Solo's certainly put on some cracking racing with the pairs format, and with father & son pairing of Wayne and Max Broadhurst, they had to be one of the favourite pairings to take the honours, especially with Max now absolutely flying on the GT140, but as we all know, anything can happen in pairs racing, and usually does. The final was simply sensational.
As per last season, the Juniors stood out on ability, and yet again it was the clash between 2 of the brightest stars of the future that stood out. The battles between Finley Theobald and Archie Rolph were just unbelievable. Racing at it's highest level, and especially at such a young age, and handling the tricky track conditions as if they were perfect. Playing a watching brief just behind this pair was Kane Newby, just waiting for a mistake from either Rolph or Theobald.
Chad Wirtzfeld put on a dominant display in the Open Solo Non Expert class, but the battles behind him was where the real race was taking place, with Will Thurlby, Levi Cobbold, Stuart Bridges, and Karl Bedingfield on his trusty 250cc machine having some tough battles against 500cc machines. In the Pre 75 Solo's it was all about Tim Curnock and could anyone stop him from taking a clean sweep. Phil Kynman, Ben Phillips, and Giles Dismore did their best, but it would be a hard ask to stop the flying Curnock.
With the very youngest on E Bikes learning from the earliest age, and Auto Cadets/Cadets, and a small field of Intermediates, all in all not a bad start to the 2024 season.

Awesome vid as usual Bob, some great racing in all classes but the GT140's put on a great show!
