I have 2 stories. The first happened about 10 years ago. This guy I went to church with randomly popped into my head one week. At this point, I hadn't been to church in about 5 years, so I didn't have any contact with him. We weren't friends. I just knew he existed. This one week, he randomly popped into my head. The random things he said and did from 5 years prior replayed over and over. I didn't think anything of it. A few days later, I logged onto facebook and found out he had passed away that week. I don't understand how we connected or why, but we did. Second story.... About 3 weeks ago, a girl I went to high school with popped into my head. High school was about 16 years ago. I haven't had contact with her in YEARS, but there she was in my thoughts. 2 weeks later, I was in a new neighbourhood taking the bus home and I realized I was going in the wrong direction. I got off and switched to the right bus. A few stops later someone got on the bus and called out to me. I couldn't tell who it was because of her mask. Guess who it was? Yup. The girl from high school. If I hadn't gotten on the wrong bus, I wouldn't have seen her. I found her on facebook, sent her a message and told her what happened!
Lately I have been expiriencing this sensation where I taste the smell or odour of the person when thinking about them ... the smells vary from fruity /floral to dog smell it's so real.
An old close friend from pre med college days (I had a crush on) whom I haven't seen in over a decade I suddenly kept thinking about him, searching for him in social media for months to know how he's been doing. I just recently found out he died 😔 dec 2020 probably due to covid19. It was overwhelming because I just suddenly kept thinking about him that time. I'm currently in a long term relationship with someone else now and I'm engaged.
