A surge in sales volume was observed in Dubai's prime residential market in Q2 2021, with 4,681 apartments and 818 villas sold worth a collective $4.5 billion which shows that many new foreign buyers with cash have flooded Dubai's high-end market. Dubai is a safe and stable economy for international investors, especially when it comes to large-scale properties found in locations such as Emirates Hills, Palm Jumeirah, Al Barari, and Jumeirah Bay Island. I'm a minimalist and love their approach to architecture. At ~1500/SQFT they get a lot more bang for their buck than in Manhattan or Beverly Hills.

I'm not using contemporary to refer to this type of house. I think a distinction ought to be made between these and standard contemporary. I would refer to them as capital estates, and I think it may sell more of them. That may be to the shagrin of some, but I think they are fashionable, modern capital estates, and living in one is a lot of fun! I prefer put the capital design on condominiums and certain resorts and get aways!
Those are very nice interiors, but someone needs to fly someone in from Japan or England to tend to that Bonzai! These houses would likely only have enough solar attached to the house to charge the battery storage, their investments in attaching ownership of energy to the house would be out in the desert somewhere.
Yep... water insurance, and houses generating equity from attaching their houses to energy production likely allows the homeowners in Dubai to have the basis they need to be investment bankers. They are going to import most of their food, I'm going to have special meat production in Egypt most likely, and I'd expect the people of Dubai to want top quality vegatables etc...! I like having a buyer of fine things found at that geographical location. The strategy would be to get the homeowners ownership of power to be profitable while increasing and maintaining water infrastructure to allow for regional growth.

I think Dubai is one of the worst cities on the planet and will also be the most doomed as global warming sets in. The mansions shown here are not attractive but look like office buildings and does anyone really need all that crap that they probably will never use in their home? I am not against anyone who has been successful building their perfect environment but when it becomes so excessive that they will never use it, it becomes an opulent display of wealth that could be better used elsewhere to improve life on our planet. If you have a lot of class and wealth I doubt you would choose a place like Dubai to live.
