If I watch a vertical live, it doesn't let me play it in the background. I can't keep the video going to listen while I pull up a browser and do other stuff on my phone. Ugh
Yea i did this last night i got 84 new subscribers and all i was doing was playing Minecraft bedwars with loud music playing in the background, i did this for 47 minutes and people were actually in my chat vibing i wasnt talking or anything just (Live, Bedwars, Loud Music)
Do you have two separate obs opened to do both CZcams live? One obs for horizontal and another obs open for vertical? Or is there a way to go live on the shorts feed and horizontal feed through one obs?
I knew when I went live from my phone verticals was different in the algorithm compared to horizontal on streamlabs. I’ll definitely be testing this out today playing COD MW3
Some more questions... If you are sending 2 streams , which one is shown on your channel page? Which one is sent out as notifications?.. if someone subscribes on the vertical stream , do they then get a notification for the horizontal next time ?... How then do they find the vertical version?

They aren't. That is one "downside" but there are so many upsides also. I'm doing an update video to this with the findings I've had after 10 vertical streams. Lets just say, it is something I am going to be continuing on my channel moving forward.

You can always just pin the horizontal link at the top of the stream. Streams on CZcams shorts gets way more traffic. redirecting the traffic is a good idea if we’re doing longform.

Just tested this with my setup using restream as my horizontal stream feed and only streaming vertically to youtube and it worked perfectly. It doesn't solve the tiktok problem, but I just wanted to share this info in case it was useful
You may have to change ur kbs in obs settings! First know your upload speed! Then you take that number and do the math! Like he said if you only got 10mbps and your trying to run 6000kbps for two platforms your ganna have issues! I stream live on 3 platforms, I’m going to try 4 tomorrow with TikTok and see how it works out! Maybe you can do a video on how to do the math! Also I thought shorts had to be 60 seconds to be a short! So I’m definitely going to try this out! Don’t know I will have the bandwidth to be live on 5 platforms! The VOD becomes a regular livestream afterward, so you’ll get watch hours but only if you keep the stream public. I unlist the vertical streams personally, since they won’t be in the shorts feed after you end the livestream.

Sorry I just found the problem lol at the bottom of the screen where you put in the stream key you have to press okay. I did that and it finally worked. On my laptop i couldn’t see it but I saw it on my steam deck
Does somebody know why my vertical stream reaching 0 views and viewers? I streamed for 1.5 months, and 3 weeks before i always had 5-10 viewers, chat activity and active subcriptions. Now always 0\0\0... And this started when i uploaded video to YT and deleted most saved streams...
Only thing I see different is you streaming less than an hour on your last three lives. You aren't doing much commentary for people to jump in to when you are live and your audio from your latest Fortnite stream has scuffed audio where you can't hear the gameplay. Not saying these are the reasons, but some things I noticed when looking at your channel
@@DarkenedCyrus Thanks a lot for response. The poblem is that there is no viewers at all :) I mean, even if audio was normal or other stuff - nobody observes this. Sometimes i launch boosting via putting preview of stream on some TV show websites, but this doesn't help...

It may not look as good but I honestly watch more live vertical lives than landscape, call me weird but it seems like you’re closer to the creator lol. I found some really great creators from lives shorts

Nope! In this video, I used the Aitum Vertical Plugin to do both in the same OBS program

This will create 2 separate chat rooms correct?.. so if you say, only have 1 mod , they would have to be on both streams simultaneously?

The messages when live don’t count as comments. Turn on live replay and anyone can see the chat from the live relay function.

so once you setupi the stream keys for both , you dont need to keep changing them every time you go live correct?
Nope! You will need to schedule the vertical stream to use the stream key and to have a title/thumbnail if using aitum to stream it.

Worked wonders mate. Tried to do both youtube and tiktok at same time and everything lagged bad. I think tiktok live studio is cpu heavy
TikTok studio has also caused me problems to be honest and I have a very beefy PC and gigabit internet. Glad that was helpful!

Is it possible to go live vertically if you are streaming straight from your console like the PS5?
As of right now, no. There isn’t an easy solution for this. Maybe soon though as some companies are thinking about this!

Totally does and is treated like a normal stream. You have to leave the VOD public for it to count towards YPP

You'd need more than just a PS4. You'd need a capture card and a PC of sort.

The plugin does work on Mac. Just confirmed on their website. Just make sure you are installing on a version of OBS that is 29+

What if your using restream ? How does restream pick up the aitum vertical stream ?
It won't convert horizontal to vertical if that is what you are asking. You'd use aitum to just stream to CZcams Vertical
