So interesting tidbit. The reason Elsa's dagger randomly missed is because Reinhardt has so many divine blessing he's essentially untouchable. The dagger missing is an example of his "all projectiles miss" blessing.
I'm loving this and can't wait for more.
He also has First Attack Immunity: “The first time an attack is performed at Reinhardt, it always misses” and Proceeding Attack Immunity: “The second attack and all following attacks miss him”.
This basically mean that at 17:40, Reinhard didn’t even need to block and Elsa’s attack would still miss.

the thing about him running into the guys in the alley is that they are following him since he is wearing such weird clothes and they think he has money, so they attack him in whatever alley he gets in.

The shopkeeper must have felt bad for him, watching him talk to himself with a conserned look in subarus face like that. Before he behaved more like the type of customer that just likes to watch stuf without buying, instead of someone that has something bad on his mind. Its a subtle change, but it makes sense that the shopkeeper behaves differently.

In regards to the insignia, after reinhard saw the insignia in her hands he takes her because the insignia picks the people worthy of having it so just the fact that fate allowed her to even have it in her hands meant that felt is worthy. I think when someone is worthy it gives a slight glow also

Subaru only died three times and figured it out which isn’t so bad but whatever also even if he figured it out sooner it wouldn’t of mattered because the thugs were going to follow him every time anyways and those were different alleys so he isn’t that dumb.
Although one would normally expect to find out that they could resurrect sooner, the fact Subaru went through so much trauma might have mess with his head.

A few things confuse people in the anime adaptation. Subaru didn't go through the same ally to meet the gang, he had problem with finding his way around the city and they tailed him waiting for a moment he enters a deserted spot.
Also the idea of respawning came to his head around the second time, but he found the very thought ridiculous. He thought it was more probable that someone healed him and other people, or resurrected them, anything else would make more sense than dying and coming back to life on the same spot.
I’m surprised they didn’t noticed that Else touched Subaru in the same place she slashed him the other timeline.

No projectiles work on him. All surprise attacks instantly fail. The first attack will always miss him, so will the second, and every attack after that.
Those are some of his powers. In a comedic spin off he has the Devine protection of winning tug of war. Reinhard is literally god
