I’ve been playing the forest since 2014, I was still a child then and it is one of my fav games. I am so very hyped for sons of the forest but I don’t really like the fact that everyone is saying “best game of all time” and stuff like that. Can’t we wait and see how it turns out to be? Why do people have to be so extreme all the time?
Sons of the forest is such a weird and wonderful horror/survival game the lore is just... WOW this game has helped me get through alot thank you endnight for this gift
The Forest earned the title of best survival game ever, and it speaks volume that everyone trusts you to only improve from here with SotF. I personally can't wait, just hope it runs on my laptop's GTX 1060! x)

Here's an idea that effects something endnight has said they want to change or add. Transportation, what I mainly mean is golf carts. Although obviously you don't want them to be easily obtained. A solution is to add gasoline found around the map, as well as a build able part needed such as a car battery or a engine. You would have to obtain or make parts. You could use printer resin to make empty parts that could be crafted alongside circuit boards or something else to make car batteries. A damage system could also be added, what I mean by this is a system where if you crash into a tree or cannibal it could damage parts. Also some cannibals could destroy it or jump into them (like the mud cannibals).

I've never played The Forest. Heard of it, watched a couple of videos but never tried it for myself. I think I will give this game a shot because it looks fantastic. Bringing together the survival elements with the horror factor seems more interesting than most survival games out there. Can't wait to try it, wish me luck!
We need more extras for the post-final game... More recipes like making boats, rafts, the sled to carry rocks, sticks, logs, corpses, etc... Make a rainwater fountain again with the shell of the turtles... More uses for deer and moose hide, as bags to carry more rocks, sticks, bones, batteries, bottles, etc... More tools and weapons like a rifle, flaming arrows, the climber, upgrades or bigger briefcases to carry more arrows or be able to carry 2 pistols and 2 shotguns, bigger traps to kill more enemies, such as area effect trap bombs or being able to dig holes with the shovel to make camouflaged trap pits, a different variety of enemies like giant Siamese cannibals, an artifact like in the first game to put enemies passively or aggressively, more interactivity with Kelvin and Virginia like giving Kelvin weapons or Virginia can hold position or patrol, some eggs of Hidden Easter, a greater variety of animals such as bears, lizards, crocodiles, snakes, wolves and, above all, they will fix some objects that do not work, such as the mannequin or the scarecrow, among others. 🙌 Thanks a so much !
If there is not tree houses. I will not play. Tree houses give a fresh spawn a good head start. Freakin love the treehouses in the forest. Only takes about 30 minutes to build and then 15 minutes to put walls around it. (I also hope if they add tree houses douchebag trolls can’t cut down the tree my tree house is on😂 didn’t take long to realize the treehouses need stone walls around them.

Hello! You can add bows to the aborigines . This will complicate the gameplay even more for those who like difficulties. You can add enabling or disabling of this weapon in the game settings .

2 huge things that i see in this trailer that really pulls me out of this game... the arrows stick wierdly to the target, , when the cannibal is filled with arrows they sitck out of his body in wierd positions even floating in the air, and second there is NO snow deformation at all, it looks like the snow is moving but when the cannibals falls or even backtrack on the ground it leave NO trail, its just an asset, but not something you can form
The game looks soo good, can’t wait to play after waiting for years, My one concern though is how gun focused the combat seems to be, the final scene looking straight out of doom instead of the forest

People seem to forget that the only reason it's even releasing is because they want us to enjoy the game without a crazy amount of delays. I'm pretty sure they already stated they have got huge vision for the game and want it to be done correctly. I think I trust Indie developers over AAA at this point
endnight needs to add the ability to burrow and mine into the side of hills and mountains for, stone, iron, coal, and sulfur for gunpowder. I'd like to see more survival blueprints and the ability to stack stones to build a furnace and fireplace. iron could be used for crafting doors and hatches. a scaffolding blueprint will add more immersion when building bigger builds and could reduce player deaths due to fall damage. as solo players will have no one to revive if taking a wrong step on a skyscraper xD. add the ability to irrigate water by digging a trench, add a planting system that allows trenches to be dug around them for irrigation (clay pipes could be used to keep water from freezing in the winter) adding a brewing system for drinks with buffs and a bigger scale cooking method and you've got and endgame loop ;) make the tripod cameras an item for a craft able turret. more practical storage systems need to be implemented instead of copy and pasting the ones from the forest. burying boxes of meat/food in the snow to stock up for winter when most animals are hibernating, caves and the world in general need to feel interactable as far as building in them. its going in the right direction but at this point it's still an unfinished game, and most peoples attention spans aren't capable of laboring through a work in progress. still very excited tho. i hope they add all the items from the original forest and more :). this game could be what minecraft would do terrible things to become. p.s. there should also be the ability to recruit stray cannibals and assign them villager roles, blacksmith, farmer, or guard, and we should be able to blacksmith weapons to arm our cannibal army and take over the island.
I have an idea for Multiplayer and Singleplayer. We do not have active ways of protecting ourselves... We have our hands and tools but that is not enough. We should have a giant, man-made Ballista, which obviously could be loaded with Wooden Spears( crafted from 2 Sticks, Duct Tape and Knife ) or Molotov Spears (Wooden Spear + Molotov Bottle + Rope)
MY GOD: let Kelvin defend himself with base melee; dude is chopping trees- he can chop baddies, let him hold a second log & pathing/use the zip log system. Virginia should be able to hold 6 logs lol PLEASE LET US TAME & house cannibals for small armies.
Even though we have this new experience I won't stop playing it's predecessor. Still a brilliant piece of art and will always be a joy to play. Please never remove it's servers!
Finally, the game we've been waiting for is less than 24 hours away, amazing work as always. Bravo endnight.

I think guns are going to be there only for desperate situations. I think there are a limited amout of bullets on the island.
