I finally decided between an ES booster box and a case of Paldea Evolved. The case arrives in a week.
LC PSA 9 Geodude. Im gonna collect all rev-holos for Legendary Collection. then all the holo's from WOTC. its a big challenge, so it should take me 2-10 years, depending on progress!

I was in my local UK supermarket when I made eye contact with a paldean fates tin...I stopped and asked the universe which tin I should choose. I cracked it open when I got home and pulled Gardevoir ex SIR. Thanks Universe!! 🤣

Just picked up a Coro Coro mew in a Psa 8. One of my favorite cards. The holo and the shiny mew look fantastic.

I'm diggin the theme deck niche! Very cool to have a niche side quest. I've recently dived head first into WOTC box toppers. I think the oversized cards display well when graded. Also, the skyridge crystal charizard is lot more attainable for me in the box topper version 😅
Niches can be very rewarding. My theme deck collection is something I feel very proud of and would never regret. I can’t say that about all of my collection. I’ve overspent and gotten screwed on a lot of single cards and never really had that experience with decks. Always feel like the value is good. I agree box toppers would look really cool slabbed up and against the wall. In some ways those box toppers are really rare too 😎🙏🏼

@@orionsires I believe so as well. I’m not sure how this recession in Japan has effected Pokémon, but I would imagine people are more hesitant to spend. Also, just vintage blisters really lol, not cases.

I am going to get some bins tomorrow to store everything in, and luckily we never have floods here and I also dug a little trench in front of my garage so water can flow around it 😎🙏🏼
You have made me want to add some theme decks to my collection I might pick up a power reserve deck this week if I can find one for the right price
Well if you’re going to go that route don’t over pay! So many deals every week on decks patience is key from what I’ve found. I absolutely love them. Always will. Something about the art and the weight and feel of the deck boxes. 😎🙏🏼

@@orionsires I’ve been picking up random sealed theme decks for years just for how good they look, still upset I never bought a sealed case of the ex power keepers theme decks that was on eBay a year and a half ago for I think about 425$? Still keeps me up at night sometimes

Any concerns storing you cases in the garage? Is it temp controlled? I've outgrown my closets and am wondering if it will be ok in a non temp controlled garage area.
I think you’ll want it to be temp controlled, I’m installing a AC unit in mine just to keep the garage cool and dry , but for now I keep the door connecting the garage open so that way the house can cool it down hope this helps 😎
Nice pickups and garage coming along too! I’ve just been picking up any IRs or yellow border trainer galleries I see some opportunities in to grade. Curious to know when it comes to selling the booster box cases later on will you just put a label on it as is or do you need to double box them?
I will not be selling by the case my guy, which is why I threw away a lot of my bigger boxes because I know I can afford to wait and sell them one by one. I will probably start selling it off middle of the next era or late next era. Selling by the case to me doesn’t make much sense to be honest because you can break it down and probably extract more out of the cases. Yes there’s a sealed premium but I don’t think it matters when you plan to sell later on. The prices should rise in time so I’m in no rush to get rid of anything for now. Also TG cards are on the move so that’s probably a smart choice. 😎🙏🏼

Also, what collect-a-con is the best to go to? I'm from Vancouver, Canada, so I have to fly regardless. I was thinking of flying to Houston in November, i have heard good things about that one.
Agreed I think the Houston is probably one of the best ones too, but then again I haven’t been. I live in Charlotte and Charlotte con wasn’t all that impressive to be honest it was overwhelming sure but I wasn’t blown away by the deals there or anything 🤷🏻♀️

What is considered a modern PSA slab?? Where does the numbers start?
Modern psa slab is probably a 6-7x cert. if that’s what you mean. Right now we’re on to 9x certs it’s getting wild!! 😂
