Webinar: FSC Core Labour Requirements

In September 2021, the Forest Stewardship Council has included the FSC core labour requirements into the revised FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) standard. The FSC core labour requirements include effective abolition of child labour, elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour, the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation, respect of freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.
While the protection of workers' rights has always been part of FSC's principles and mandatory for forest management certificates, this new addition to the FSC CoC standard puts workers' rights on the agenda for over 45,000 FSC CoC certificate holders.
