Welker Farms
P. O. BOX 771 Shelby Montana 59474
To help the bottom line, maybe you could sell the rocks from the field. Welker Rocks! And have a limited selection of Welker autographed Rocks. They could come with a certificate of authentication that they were authentic Welker Farm Rocks. Customer would pay all shipping and handling fees.
Premium for rocks that have been through beastbine and come with the steel part they broke...
You pay for shipping?
I agree
@@samwest9444 you dont pay for shipping ?
I’d have to take out a loan to pay the shipping on some of those rocks! Have you seen the size of Nick’s arms? If he has trouble lifting them, they’re heavy.
I feel Very sorry for your loss in the 2021 harvest. I have the utmost respect for farmer's. Here where I live in eastern Canada in a province ( state in USA) of Prince Edward Island . I have family that harvest Potatos 🥔 every year ( up to 5000 acres on many farms) and many years there crop is bad ,and sometimes there crop has to spread on the land ( Potatos got rotten) with a tractor with snowblower.
BUT THEY LOVE FARMING.
I KNOW YOU DO TOO..
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. HOPE FOR THE BEST IN 2022..
Looks like that iron bar is from the feeder house? Anyhow, congratulations on getting 500 thousand subscribers, that is a major achievement & I think we all agree nobody deserves it more than the Welker family, just amazing!
No itll be from the top of the rotor. When those come off theres usually a lot of damage inside.
Time in the combine with your two sons is the best harvest you could get off any field in the big picture of life.
Yeah, you know that's right! Time with the kids and the future of your enterprise is worth a Heck of a lot. If you have your boys with you....the world can wait.
God bless you all, and congrats on the 500K subscribers.....you deserve it.
Now you should get some winter wheat planted . We have grown barley before it actually grows decent in our area . The problem is that there isn't much of a market for barley here in Michigan. I'm glad that you guys stayed positive and upbeat about the low yields even though it was stressful. Keep up the good work !
congrats on 500,000! you were one of my earliest farming channels...maybe 8 or more years ago, hard to remember! You guys were early adopters of drones, like Ryan of How Farms Work was. I think of you two as the earliest drone users I saw. Thank again and congrats! good luck at FP show!
Hi Guys. Its almost a miracle you can recover any yield at all. Down here in New Zealand near Darfield we are struggling with a wet winter. In late May we had 16" in two days. Seed potatoes couldn't be lifted and now the spring wheat is six weeks late getting in. Fortunately we have great irrigation so although it might be late, it should fill ok. The challenge will be at harvest as we have no dryers on the farm. They are the top priority now and it is possible one may go in over the summer.
Became aware of your channel a couple of weeks ago. Find it amazing how capable you guys are at farming plus working in the shop. Then watched the restoration of the Big Bud. A great testament to your family’s perseverance. Appreciate the many opportunities to watch more of your great videos. Have a great Fall!
Welcome 👍
All the upgrades will be able to shine with the winter crops and next year! I wonder what could be made out of those weeds. They certainly grow a little too well. Take care and God bless!
Walkers every time I see oh glory flying on them pieces equipment y’all got makes me proud it’s a shame this world has got in the shape it’s got into today and the children you had right in your lap in the combine is what’s gonna pay for it in the long run we just got a hope and pray things will get better I’m 62 years old and it probably won’t be in my lifetime but maybe being a lifetime of them children and our grandchildren God bless man be safe I’m sorry for your Crop loss Hope and pray for better years
Praying that to
Farming gotta love it. Rocks murder on internals of machine.
LegArms it’s so good to have you back and doing fab work. Great to watch. Hope Farm Progress Show was good for y’all! And all the others there. Enjoy the channel
Combines seems pretty effective at picking rocks! Don’t know why y’all even needs a rock picker!
Nick replanted them. Needs a bucket or basket for every piece of equipment.
🙄🙄🙄😂🤪🤣
Yepper. i believe i would throw on the truck at least.
Great video u guys seriously impact so many people lives and emotions just by waching your video and we get to have more ideas what to do on our farm I just want to say do not stop making videos and keep doing what your doing
Just noticed you passed 500K subs! Congratulations Weler Farms! There's a reason you moved from the 400K subs to this level so fast - good videos, good people and a variety of content. I know this crop year has been challenging and we've felt it with you. Thanks and congratulations.
Loved the Happy meal part of the video!! Seeing Leg arms smile about the toy and then seeing it on the dash of the truck was Great!! Made me laugh!!
Congratulations on 500K!!! Been a great ride so far. I'm trying to get to 1,000 and it is not easy. I have huge respect for the work you guys put in not only the farming but then all the work too produce content for us. Keep it up.
I just subed to your channel....you got one more!
@@dans_Learning_Curve I appreciate that. One at a time is steady as she goes. Thanks.
Congratulations on the 500 k! Well deserved! Enjoy the channel and you three gentlemen!
Congratulations on 500,000 well deserved!
Not much but it is some income and you are educating us! And allowing us the joy of following you. Godless
Thanks for another great video. Was interesting and enjoyable. First of all congratulations on reaching 500 subscribers-ya. Way to go Welkers!!!!! People so enjoy your channel.
Lots of people will enjoy seeing your combine at the farm post show. Long haul for the trucker. Neat to have it at the show.
You have a huge problem with rocks. I understand that it is the way the ground is on your area. Some of those rocks you show us are really good sized. I can see where they would do a lot of damage to the inside of the combine. Wish there was some way to fix that problem for you but I am not aware of any fixes other than catching sight of them. Wow. I am central Iowa and our rock threat is very low. Not many here.
About it for now. Appreciate you taking us along. Dad and Scott enjoy the progress show and Nick you welcome a new baby into the family.
You all take care and be safe. God bless all of you. God watch over all of you. Thanks for everything. enjoy the show bob and Scott. 😀! Thanks. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Thanks Steve
Congrats on 500,000! Love watching your videos.
OH! FUN FACT!
So last year my boss bought this 2015 Kenworth T880 and I got to drive it a couple times this year
and I learned how to not get stuck in mud (because the yard around his grain bin was always clay mud because Georgia) from you guys and that video of the International a year or so ago
the feathering the throttle thing, i got that from yall and it worked very well
500K subscribers! Well done Welker Farms!!
I think you'd just broken 50K when I discovered your channel. Love to watch the success!
Congrats on the subs Nick, Scott, Coby and especially DAD. All the best for what harvest brings. Thanks for a great production. Much respect from Brisbane, AUS.
Glad to see your positive attitudes even as things are rough. Praying you guys can have an awesome year next year.
Regardless the amount of subscribers please do not stop making content I'd love to come out and help yall even for free we lost our family farm and I miss it I know this probably will not get seen but thank you for your amazing family farm videos and keep them going
Loved seeing Lethbridge on the highway sign - it’s where I grew up.
I have been in that area helping my friends on their farm. Doug Gabriel and his neighbour Randy. Always enjoyed working with Doug.
Your videos are absolutely outstanding! Well done.
Great to have another Welker Farms video. Hi from Chicago.
Congrats on 500k!! Hoping the winter wheat goes better than the summer crops.
1 bushel Kochia, 1 granite and 8 bushel of barley. I feel so bad for you folks. We had the same experience on the other side of West Butte (Sweetgrass Hills) in 83. Dried out, hailed out 100%. Reroofed buildings and picked rock with pitch forks (too hot to pick by hand) all summer long. Tons of dry lightning fires that year as well.
Looking pretty darn nice for a good Winter Wheat start though.
Beautiful photography and sound track. I love those prairie views.
Good luck for next year and the many years after. Eventually the weed seed will fade away, you just need the rainfall and chemistry to make it so. Over here in Lancashire, it's been really dry for a while, not been up to the lake District but guess water levels are not as good as could be. Doubt what rain we had last night actually counted. I am used to rain but it's been a while since we had a decent downpour.
Congratulations 👏 on the 500k. You guys are awesome 👌!!!!
@Welker Farms those weeds seem to be an issue world wide (over here we call it Fire Weed) it always seems to be resistant to all chemicals. but dies well enough when pulled out and stored in chaff bags until it can be burnt. Though your kids are a little too young, at this stage, but when they are older and muck up enough to need punishment, send them to the field with an empty chaff bag and tell them to fill it with the weeds you will end up with less of them over the years :)
Congrats on the subscribers!
Wow, what a tough year.
You should weld a bucket on the side of your combines so you have a place to put rocks you pick up.
Kochia - obviously the spray first. (as mentioned below ) The Case 8230 combine harvester can have the 'Seed Terminator' unit (australia) fitted to it so during crop harvesting the weed seed and chaff exiting the rear of the combine are pulverized. If there is a large bio-mass of standing weeds that have not been cut, spray then (e.g the stand of kochia etc the Canadian farmer had grown) Borrow an old windrower like the case wdx 1202 or tractor and no-conditioner mower case-ih TD103 10foot (macdon R1 16 foot) mow the weeds into a windrow (before the weed seeds are ripe)and pickup with a case-ih magnum and a forage loader wagon (e.g Strautmann, Pottinger, Krone, Schuitemaker etc) preferably( or baler capable of baling corn stover type material). Pile and fire burn the weeds. (Could use a NH FR forager with a rockstopper detector & direct-cut crop head and load the old Ford Trucks with silage boxes on them for removing bulk weeds.)
We simply chem burned above ground growth so no more seeds and stopped water usage
Congrats on the 500k. Too bad for the weather effects and the high yields on rocks. There is a large part of the country fighting weather issues. Hope to see some better improvements going forward.
Congrats on 500K! Sorry the weather and harvest weren't good this year. God Bless for next year!
Thank you!
Loved seeing your children in the cab with you! I laughed at the “old man” in the rear view mirror. 🤣
Congratulations on 500K 🥳🥳
Congratulations on the 500k Welker family can’t wait to see the next 500 k to appear!!!!! Hopefully the rest of the season will be better for you guys!!!!!
Thank you
Congrats of 500k subs! Man, those are some tuff weeds out in the fields.
Years like this are what make farmers strong n tough. Hot flame hammer forged in Covid, drought, end of rains n weeds from hell. Sure hope the canola crop comes thru for ya.
Time we come together n help each other out.
Watching your son feed you popcorn…. Made my day!
Nick plant winter canola 👍 in pea field in Canada they say we have til the sept 10th so if you do it you have to plant very soon some times you get better yield in winter than summer might be good to look into it...
Congratulations on the 500k, ..... it's a great channel to watch, thanks guys. 😊
Congratulations on hitting 500K subs. and also getting to the end of harvest. Everyone stay safe and have a good fall.
Congratulations on hitting 500K. I think it is because of the content, Awesome.
Congratulations on 500K!
Congratulation to the 500k milestone to a Great Family well worth it!
Does it make sense to add a 'Rock Carrier' to the combines?? Throw those rocks you pick up into the carrier rather than back in the fields to hit them again another day??
For weed control, Yeah, You're kinda stuck! They suck up the water your harvest needs - Off the Weeds and [potentially] increase the harvest! (Can't do squat about the weather!)
You guys are probably done cutting barley but our settings are 850-900 for both rotor and fan, top sieve 15 and bottom sieve 13. Then just adjust the concave on the low end of under 3 and close it as it gets tougher
I just prayed that all you farmers out west do much better next year!
Thanks Larry!
500,000 congratulations!!!!
Great Welker Farms Video, thanks for sharing
500k
Congratulations Welker’s ✝️
Looks like you are going to have to pull the big guns out some dicamba or liberty or enlist and little roundup to show those weeds who is boss lol glad to hear that you are getting rain suck to get it at harvest time but never say no to rain hope the rest of harvest goes good for you guys hoping to start beans the end of this month
Congratulations on 500k, just shows you have interesting content.
Love your videos.. Big bud is awesome.
I feel your pain with short crops, green weeds and rocks. That seems to be a global problem from time to time. If they were my pea stubbles and summer weeds I’d have a couple of thousand lambs on them as the last truck rolled out. We would easily put five lambs to the Hectare on that and put $100 Australian per head onto the lambs. I’ve tried the all crop thing but was going to go broke and as we are a non subsidised nation something had to give, so back to a hole lot of livestock.🇦🇺👍
Congrats on the 500k you and your family deserve it straight down the middle for showing farming as it really is the good the bad and the ugly.
Congratulations on the 500K!
Weeds , smoke, drought over here on the farm in Helena . Its been a really tough year . We pulled the plug and just started getting ready for next year . I couldnt take it any more. Hope your all doing well regardless of the situation .
Sorry to hear that John. Praying next year will be profitable for you.
@@warrendemars I thank you .
Congrats on the 500K !
Congratulations on the 500 thousand !
always with the EPIC long shots! beautiful gentlemen! side note would goats eat those weeds?
Put the busted bit in the cab. The show is perfect place for Case to show off some field tech prowess to the masses with an onsite repair.
God bless farmers and all the Welkers and Big Buddy Billy 🙏😉😍👍
Another awesome video keep the great content coming 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Love the American Farmer and what they stand for👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻God Bless and Stay Safe
Nice to know I’m not the only guy who watches movies while running equipment 😂, pity I don’t have lotr available to watch on my phone though, hope the canola and barely harvest goes well
Congrats! I just hit 111 subscribers so I’m basically right behind you! 😂
500k congrsts
Congrats on the subscriber's
congratulations on the 500k!
Congratulations on going over 500K subscribers!!! Hey Leg Arms,.....I could be wrong, but I do not think that is Scooby-Doo. It looks more like Scrappy-Doo, which is Scooby-Doo's nephew.
Congrats on 500,000 subscribers. You guys are so deserving of it and so much more. My channel just hit 100 subscribers the other day and I am super stoked! Great video have a good one!
Its hard farming in an area that hardly gets any rain. Ya gotta triple the acres to make any money in a droubt every year. Barley you cut into swathes let it dry then run it through the combine with a head thats made for barley.
Happy Labor Day! Hope you guys are enjoying a cold drink today.
Thanks for the update guys, man those rocks are horrible for the combines. Take care guys 👍
Yeah, thats a tough call to make about those weeds, especially in a bad yr due to drought. Plowing takes fuel, spraying cost isn't cheap. Being dry using a sub soil ripper would be ideal to break up any compaction, but that don't really solve the weed issue. Disking would cut up the weeds, and wouldn't take near as much fuel as a moldboard plow, or using a disk ripper. I've been saying for years, that continuous no-till and chemical use constantly would cause super weeds, that won't die easily. But we can do that here in the Midwest, due to our soil types, where its not ideal for y'all out in Montana, due to the lack of top soil and lack of rain.
That piece looks like a vain or some call it a fin in the cone of the rotor. I had one partially break on me 1 yr, it was the first one inside the cone, so it wasn't difficult to get to, too fix, but it broke with just about 4 acres of corn to shell, and had to have someone come out and finish those last couple acres because rain was coming. Luckily as soon as I heard a clicking sound, I shut things down, before it broke completely off and went thru the combine.
Congrats, well deserved 👌👍
Liked
Thanks for the video!
Hindsight is 20-15!
Thanks for what you did for Billy!
*You guys are the best!*
@10:49 Was that a cattle crossing grate in the road?
As much as you guys make and fabricate things, one would think that each combine would have a couple of large metal boxes attached to each combine. That way when the operator comes across a rock that is in the header or one that they can pick up off the ground, they could take it right off the field.
Good shots guys.
Have you ever tried valor in the fall? Does a very good job on most broadleaves. Can get generic thru FBN for 3.50 per acre
Congratulations on the 500,000 subscribers!
What does the canola look like? Does it have the potential of 10 or 20 bushels to the acre? 🧐👀🤔
Or more. Its part of the rape seed family
I got a new boomerang to a year ago. But i"m still buisy to trow away the old one :) Keeps coming back.
I usually don't like music videos of this sort, but this time right around 4:30 + it got me good... The amount of chills... Epic!! Music on there with the video, it is just beyond.. its epic level movie shit!
I am not even an American, nor that in to red, but the view with stars and stripes flying with one of the most American machine there is - the IH red one, on that scenery... Oh my.. i think one should be dead not to get any vibes.. fellow farmer another side of the world lifts hat! Right kind of proud and patriotism too here, 100%.
Also, Scott.. you lucky bastard! :D Your wife.. she really is a keeper, one of the millions. All the best to you and your family!
That pick up sounds great. 👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Ever think about adding a air bar to help keep product off the ground
I feel for you guys I'm combing barley in central Ontario and we are getting 75 plus bushel.
Always concerned and interested to know the status of the machinery. Makes your videos interesting. Please update on what ails Beastbine when it comes back home.
That piece of steel I think done some bad damage .The rocks are all ways a big pain . Take care , be safe ,see ya .👍👍😊✌
*Congratulations on reaching 500K*
Everytime you just don't need it...😥
Thanks a lot for the video!😊👍🏻
Wow!! Anyone says Farming is easy is uninformed!! God Bless and have a Good Week!! 😊❤⚘
Mrs. Leg Arms got a new ride. Sweet!
