    *So far this juicer is a monster. It goes through the toughest vegetables like watermelon rind **MyBest.Kitchen** turnips, parsnips, beets, carrots, etc. like they are nothing. If the blades stay sharp and it does not break it will be a great buy. The cleaning of the screen and blades is the most time-consuming but they send a brush so it is not too bad. I would have given it 5 stars across the board if not for cleaning the screen.*

      Oh my! How true! I haven’t stop using this baby since the video was made. Where I differ is for the cleaning 🧽. Compared to any metal screen mesh to Cuisinart Easy Clean Juicer hard plastic mesh this is by far easiest to clean. Again, the Cuisinart is one of the easiest to clean when compared to metal screen mesh from other juicer brands. Side note: in due time the hard plastic mesh will have some form of discoloration when hard veggies are used -this is normal.
      Also, please fixed the link you provided “MyBest.Kitchen,” otherwise comments will be removed for the safety of our viewers. If not attended to be a link, please clear the mistake.Thank you.

      Jackie, what an awesome gift to share to a love one 👍. That special person is going to love it. Although, the Cuisinart Easy Clean Juicer does not have the metal mesh, it still a mesh. The difference between Cuisinart’s and other brands, their mesh is made of hard plastic by limiting the tiny holes you get from other brands. This makes it fantastic to clean without using a brush. Yes, I still have the Juicer and it hasn’t stop working since the air of this video. Not a big fan of Cuisinart, but for this juicer I am. You took the dive getting a new juicer👍. And what a better way to start your day with a healthy fresh juice using your new Cuisinart Easy Clean Juicer. I’m absolutely positive you’ll love this product. For such an inexpensive product it is packed with awesome features compared to expensive competitive cold press juicers. This video was posted over a year ago and my juicer is still performing.
      I do believe sticking with juicing and excluding all forms of process foods including sugars and high salt content you’re going to rip the benefits never seen before. Your body is going thank you! Honestly, what is the point of juicing if we don’t modified our lifestyle and diet? If you noticed, I haven’t posted new videos for sometime due to getting Covid. This shameful virus took a toll on me. The long after effects is something I been dealing with. But, Thank God juicing is one of the main benefits that has kept me going. If it wasn’t for juicing and a dramatic change in my food consumption I have no idea where my health would be like today. Yeah, many changes taken place in my life. And still working on it. But, don’t worry, at the meantime I been focus on new videos for the new year. So, make sure to subscribed to see exciting new contents. Yes, including videos benefiting from juicing.
      That said, I’m thrilled having the opportunity providing the help you needed. I hope in serval weeks you may find time to comment your experiences with your Cuisinart Juicer and the types of juicing made. Folks really need to know the pros and cons. Excellent review. I recently purchased the Cuisinart Juicer. Straight out the box it’s easy to assemble. But after use, clean the washable parts. Then, when reassembling, twist the auger until you get the top to fit snuggly. Or the top will not close properly which had me perplexed for a minute! Other than that, I’m very happy with the product! 🙂

      HAPPY SUNDAY 🌞. Thank you😘. True, assembling the auger is awkward at first. But in do time it will get easy and next thing you know, it’s a matter of one, two, and three inserting the auger with ease. Cleaning? Trust me, compared with other juicers with a metal screen the Cuisinart is still the easiest to clean. Again, comparison to other brands. I am excited you’re happy with new product and can’t wait to hear the types of juice you will be making.

      Awesome my friend👍! I’m super happy your new Cuisinart juicer arrived and it is doing a fabulous job extracting👏. Here is a hint if you’re going to add greens. Extract soft greens first such as kale, spinach, etc… and add your veggies last. Or, add your soft greens in between the hard veggies. This will help get more juice from those soft veggies. Also, cut up those big fat carrots, beets, apples, etc... No matter the type of juicer brands you don’t want to over work the motor. Smaller pieces going down the shoot will provide more yield of juice.
      Again, Congrats on your new juicer and hope for many years of good health. Thank you for comments and taking your valuable time watching my video. Have an awesome weekend and stay safe.😎

      Congratulations 👏! I believe you’re going to love your new juicer. Absolutely, it’s easy to clean compared to other juicers with a metal mesh -not perfect but much easier. In my opinion no matter which type or brand of juice extractors there is going to be some grit or excess pulp, this can’t be avoided unless to use a strainer after juice is made. I would say juicers with a metal mesh does a better job but it’s not completely free from grit. Hint, to help minimize excess grits don’t do large batches all at once. Extract a glass or so and clean out the mesh and proceed to make more juice.

    Hurom has the same filter mechanism. Wonder how this Cuisinart compares to that. I own both brand products and feel the Cuisinart is more sturdier and has a longer life. However when it comes to cleaning I can see so far it looks to be the same as Cuisinart as they too have the exact filter/auger model. But keen to see a side by side comparison if possible. Great video btw, thanks!

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety

      Interesting. I would had assumed Hurom to be the winner as far as sturdiness. But, Hurom is the one product I don’t own or tried. Yea, this may be a thought comparing the two, Hurom, and Cuisinart. Put aside hardware structure, I think Cuisinart has the leading edge with its large shoot allowing more veggies to be extracted at once. Either way, a comparison of the two products seems like a good idea.

    Thanks for the review. Would you say the yield is same as other leading juicers like a omega?

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety

      A hard question to answer. I can only compared with other brands tested or owned, including a Omega. That said, I do believe the Cuisinart as the same yield as most other brands (tested & owned). In my opinion, if juicing large quantities, Cuisinart will win for the non metal screen. Why, Other brands with a metal screen will clog after long use, whereby less juice coming from the screen to the glass -my opinion. Cuisinart’ s hard plastic screen doesn’t have tiny holes which allows more extracted juice to exit compared to other leading brands. But, doesn’t mean Cuisinart is a better juicer from other leading brands, just a better screening system.
      Will the Cuisinart last for years as with the Omega? Probably not. Cuisinart is too new to determine its longevity. Omega, Slowstar, or Nama are well built with the added strong motor that will provide many years of use -$$$$. For me, the trade off is the hard plastic vs metal screen. I thing other brands need to get on board and change the screening system, it’s 2022! Yeah, I have no complaints how much yield of juice Cuisinart producers, it does a good job from other brands I personally experienced. For the low price, I have no complaints.

    I have the old school cuisinart masticating juicer! Ive had it for over 1 years. I dont really want to switch the Breville, so I'm thinking of going with this one! I juicer celery daily but when it comes to investing in a new juicer its hard to decide. I want something i can use for other items than celery but im between this one and the breville cold juicer xl.

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety +1

      I get it! Plus, your concerns is wanted. I may have a somewhat answer from doing juicing for over 20+ years. I own both, Breville Cold Press Juicer Xl and Cuisinart Easy Clean. Both are excellent depending on what is being extracted. Allow me to put aside all the notion for which type of juicers are better. The battle for the type of juicing wars have been going on for years. Masticating is better than centrifugal juicers. Centrifugal burns or too much heat is created when extracting veggies or fruits. All these debates going on for years are nothing but nonsense. The only difference between the centrifugal and masticating juicers is one does leafy greens better then the other -no more or no less (extracting Only).
      That said, Cuisinart is a slow masticating juicer. It is good for most veggies with the exception of wheatgrass. It is also excellent for different types of fruits. And I love how well it does for almond milk. On the other hand, the Breville is a centrifugal juicer using a proprietary cold technology. Breville is an Australian company brand well built to tackle the hardest veggies and fruits. Their engineering and execution of products go beyond then most other companies. Breville spends millions within their development department to fine tune each components without sacrificing parts by cutting corners compared to other brands. Whereby Breville is one of the best centrifugal juicers on the market -in my opinion. The drawback for any centrifugal juicer brands they don’t do well with leafy greens, parsley, spinach, collard greens, romain lettuce, garlic, ginger, and etc… Centrifugal juicers are best for hard veggies or some fruits, carrots, celery, beets, apples, pears, and etc… And the other point of the main differences between a centrifugal juicers vs masticating juicers is time. Centrifugal juicers will get the job done in no time. Centrifugal juicers is far easy to clean vs a masticating juicers (with the exception for Cuisinart Easy Clean juicer. Yes, you will still get the same nutritionist value using a centrifuge juicer, but a lot of waste when extracting leafy greens or soft fruits.
      So, where does this lead me by helping you to make a good decision on your next purchase? That would depend on what type of juicing you will be doing? If you’re looking to juice more greens and fruits and less hard veggies, I highly recommend the Cuisinart. In reverse, quantities of hard veggies, less greens and fruits go with the Breville. On the other hand, I don’t want to confused you but here is one other option, Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer:
      namawell.com/products/nama-j2-cold-press-juicer?ref=nama&gclid=Cj0KCQjw8O-VBhCpARIsACMvVLMze2nl1QYSDTPzBYmqXB1qdvCTocSdd8OXsb230F2WhDHI8HDCNhEaArY-EALw_wcB
      I have not tested the Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer but for it’s worth, the reviews have been outstanding. And I mean outstanding. And no, like the fake news I don’t relay on fake reviews. Even though I do have both the Breville and Cuisinart, I am planned to purchase the Nama J2 based on the outstanding true reviews. Many awesome CZcams Content Creator videos are available for the Nama J2. And if your budget allows you to make a go for this juicer, you will have both worlds of juicing at your hands, soft leafy greens, fruits and hard veggies all at the same time. Also,there is an advantage with flex pay using Affirm payment methods. Otherwise, I would stick with either Breville or Cuisinart as stated above.
      I hope this was somewhat a guide to help make a good judgment on your next purchase. Other words, I hope I did justice answering your question. Until, Thank you for taking your valuable time out watching my video. I only wish you and yours an awesome 4th of July. And always, please stay safe! Take care😎

      @@LouRao Hey Lou! I loved your in depth response to my comment. I appreciate the time and energy you put into juicing, your knowledge of the brands, and taking a personal approach to helping me pick! I ultimately decided to go with the Breville cold xl juicer for now. Right now, i typically only juice celery daily. One of the biggest benefits for me is that i can juice a couple days worth and store it in the air tight container. I am an impatient person lol and Practically is my number one priority. However, i do plan on eventually buying a really quality masticating juicer. Around christmas i did buy the ninja masticating juicer. I ended up returning it. But having a masticating ome for the first time really opened my eyes to how amazing juicing fruits and veggies can be.
      Also, my dad got me into juicing, and he has the new breville that you have and i tasted the juice from it and was really impressed.
      Cheers to many more years of juicing!

      @@daniellebolner1995 Awesome choice👍! Can’t go wrong with the Breville.
      Some tips to share after you received your new Breville. Add one unpeeled organic lemon and a apple (any type of organic apple) to your celery juice, a powerful cleanser with the benefits to lower blood pressure. Plus, with many benefits lemons provide it will also preserve the celery juice much longer. And the apple will benefit the gut since it provides probiotics. Just be very careful not to over due drinking too much celery juice, very high in sodium. Fact, celery has the highest sodium then any other veggies. I only recommend one glass of celery juice per day. Good for a few weeks and then skipping for one week. Try organic carrots, the Breville brings out the sweetness from these healthy veggies. Yes, carrots are high in natural sugars, but if “ALL” forms of process foods are avoided no need to worry how much carrot juice is consumed. Yes, even for diabetics. Carrot juice repairs and aids the body in so many ways.
      The Breville also does amazing job extracting lemons. There is nothing like fresh lemonade 🍋 without the added sugars. I said it, no added sweetener. It is so refreshing after drinking one glass of fresh homemade lemonade. I used 3 to 4 large organic lemons and only semi peel three. Leave skin on the third or fourth lemon. After extracting the lemons pour into a large picture (gallon). Then add distilled water filling to the top (No spring or any other type of water. Distilled water is the most safest and healthiest water to drink on a daily basis. Most filter or spring waters we buy today is not really what they claim to be). That is it! Freshly homemade lemonade for your kidneys to love you back from each glass consumed.

      @@LouRao Hey Lou. Im reaching out because I wanted to get your opinion on something. As great as the Breville is, I really want to get a budget friendly masticating juicer. Ive been using centrifugal for almost 3 years. Around christmas, i had gotten the ninja masticating but overall i just didnt like the design or feel it was powerful enough so I returned it and went back to my old cuisinart. Ive been doing lots of research but there are just so many out there. Can you give me your honest opinion on the best intermediate level budget friendly masticating juicer, and where to buy it from? Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance. And the main things i juice are celery(most important), beets, oranges, carrots, pineapples, strawberries, lemons, cucumbers, etc. I always do celery but when i have a great juicer i like to keep other juices on hand and have made plenty of recipes of my favorites. Also great customer service is a must.

      Brett, Awesome question! Yes, Cuisinart Easy Clean Juicer can do almond milk. And yes, I made a few. Before the holidays (or sooner) going to demonstrate how to properly make almond milk using the Cuisinart. Some delays posting new videos due to personal family issues. Although, planning and working on new content before the holidays, and the almond milk is one of them. I would suggest to hold off and wait for the almond milk video, you will get a better view in performance, finally results, and is it still worth the purchase. Can’t wait? I would recommend it and read the manual carefully before attempting to make almond mike.

    Hello! Thank you for this review. I had just got done watching your review on the Ninja Juicer ( I love Ninja products.) Seemed super easy to clean, was almost convinced to buy - But I'm not impressed with the juice yield. No mesh on this Cuisinart - what? Insert 'mind blown' emoji here! I imagine the juice is quite 'pulpy' but nothing a strainer can't fix. So - here is my question for you - the Cuisinart and the Ninja - which one are you still using today?

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety +6

      Hello Celeste, An awesome question! After using both different forms of the Ninja & Cuisinart in the last few months, I absolutely would go with the Cuisinart if the factors is based only on these two brands. Otherwise, allow me to share other thoughts.
      True, at times, Ninja doesn’t produced the amount of juice I would expected it to do, say a $400 to $500 Omega. But, the Ninja is still not a bad low budget juice extractor for those getting started by making a health change in their diet. User experience in the last several years, the Omega, TriStar, or other popular juicer brands came with their own cons at a high priced points. Not saying those expensive name brands didn’t perform well, but always issues with the metal mesh of veggies or fruits clogging and backing up. Besides, the clean up is a nightmare no matter what others say. So, the Ninja isn’t too bad for what it can do at a low cost juice extractor. Are there issues with the Ninja like “ALL” juicers? Absolutely. Are the issues enough to void the purchase? I don’t think so. For me, the major drawback using the Ninja is the time it takes to prep all the veggies or fruits. The veggies and fruits is required to be cut up into small batches for the Ninja to work properly (like all horizontal slow masticating juicers.) And my time is too important to waste. Otherwise, Ninja is still a good juice extractor for those who enjoy making only small amounts per day.
      On the other hand, I personally prefer a vertical slow juicer if not using my Breville 3X Bluicer Pro or Vitamix. And for that reason, I choose the Cuisinart. Cuisinart producing more yield compared to a horizontal juicer. The mesh is more like a cruncher if that makes sense? Cuisinart mesh squeezers and crunch to get the most juice out from your veggies and fruits. I absolutely love the wide shoot compared to the Ninja. The Ninja will require you to cut all the veggies and fruits into small quantities (I detest doing.) Is the Cuisinart perfect extracting? No. Is the pulp always dry? That would depend on the veggies (excluding fruits -no juicer will produce dry pulp from fruits in my opinion.) So, what makes the Cuisinart stand out from the rest? The hard plastic mesh! Not only is the Cuisinart mesh easy to clean, it performs just as good in comparison to top brands from having the veggies clogging inside the bowl (backup.) I love the new concept of the non-metal mess from Hurom 101 Easy Clean Juicer (I owned at one point) and this Cuisinart I just showcased. Will this juicer last? Hard to say. It has a good warranty but not like other brands with a 5 to 10 years. Although, not knowing the longevity for this product, the price can’t be beat. If the Cuisinart last two to three years you earned your money back toward a healthy lifestyle. Of cause, follow Cuisinart’s guidelines will most of the times perform well -manual is a must to read for all brands.
      Celeste, my advice is to further your research before buying. But, if I may forewarn you, be careful reading reviews and the complete nonsense about heat killing the nutrients in many different types of juicers. Reviews are mostly paid. Many reviews are not only paid, but companies share reviews from one another. Amazon is leading in fake reviews -mostly paid. And don’t always trust where it states, “verified buyer.” That same verified buyer review sometimes is displayed in Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock, Bestbuy, and including other companies (shared reviews.) And there are those on CZcams paid by promoting a brand name products telling you how other brands can kill the nutrients with a fast vertical speed juicers or blenders -totally nonsense. Yes, many good CZcams Content Creators will advised what is a good juice extractor buy sharing their personal experience without all the nonsense. So, you need your guard up and be intuitive reading or watching reviews. Yeah, crazy world we’re living in.
      Anyhow, the truth is, to answer your question, I use the Cuisinart and the Breville. At times, I will use the Vitamix to make almond milk, peanut butter, almond butter, or homemade ice cream using just fruits -no added sugar or any other sweetener, only fruits. Almond milk sometimes with the Cuisinart (making small batches.) I like using the Cuisinart for my morning celery juice (just started drinking celery first thing in morning on a empty stomach.) Cuisinart is less of a clean up. The Breville Bluicer for making carrots juice every three days. Reason for the Breville, quantity of carrots I make to provide enough juice for three days, the Breville can handle that amount without over heating. Can I use the Cuisinart for all the above? Almost. No to peanut butter and almond butter. But everything else is ok. And Cuisinart not for large batches too. Keep in mind, Cuisinart is not meant to produced high quantities of juicing (same with all slow masticating or vertical juicer.) Small batches of juicing the Cuisinart isn’t too bad of a juicer. Yes, like most expensive juice extractors the Cuisinart at times needs a strainer if your desires are for lesser pulp. I would say the Cuisinart is in the middle for the amount of pulp going into the juice compared to other higher end brands.
      Keep in mind, rotating veggies and fruits during extraction going down the shoot will yield more juice and less pulp in all juicers. If you don’t rotate veggies or fruits, the juicer won’t perform as well and results is a less quality coming from the juice. Example; Juicing carrot juice with celery, beats, ginger, apple, and garlic, you will need to rotate them all. Don’t placed all the carrots down the shoot and then following the celery -no no. It is a few carrots, a few celery, apple , beats, ginger, and garlic in between until all veggies have been completely gone down the shoot. Rotating will give great yield and less strain on the appliance.
      I leave you with this; if you’re just starting out and looking to do hard to medium soft veggies and fruits, carrots, celery, cucumbers, romaine lettuce, ginger, apples, pears, lemons, pineapples, oranges, grapefruits, etc… go with the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Press: www.breville.com/us/en/products/juicers/bje530.html Breville will absolutely last for years. Breville is made to produce large quantities without overheating. Fact (my opinion,) Breville is one of the best to extract carrots, celery, and beats. Breville will produce more yields compared to any other juice extractors I had used for carrots, beats, celery. Lemon, pineapple, grapefruit, or apple juice, Breville is the top choice in my opinion. As much as you love Ninja, I love my Breville products too -lol.
      Otherwise, if you want to incorporate greens, kale, spinach, herbs, turmeric, ginger, garlic, grapes, almonds, etc… into your juicing methods, go with the Cuisinart. Also, besides greens, if you want to make almond milk go with the Cuisinart. Cuisinart and Breville Fountain Cold Press can’t make peanut butter or almond butter. And Breville can’t make almond milk either. Again, anything I am recommending perfect? Not. No matter what brand you may choose, all will have their pros and cons. I had used so many brands and it comes down to bargain, quality, and get more bang for your buck -juice yields, Cuisinart & Breville is my top choice at this time.
      And allow me to recommend a good video by Joe Cross: Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead

      @@LouRao Thanks so much for your reply! I started juicing several years ago after watching FS&ND. I started out with an inexpensive Hamilton Beach Big Mouth juicer - and loved it. Then I learned about the slow juicers - and jumped right in with the big boys and bought an Omega VRT350. I absolutely love it too! It's still going strong! I was also recently gifted a Breville Juice Fountain Plus as well.
      They all work well - but the clean up - the clean up is a huge deterrent. I used to spend a fair bit of time and juice for 2 or 3 days in a row - and I'd get in a routine of juicing and cleaning every few days. With working from home for the most part - I still want my juice - but faster and easier. I am just making one serving at a time now - and all the prep and clean up is a bit much. Not to mention the size of the machines - the Omega has a ton of parts that take up prime counter and storage space (not to mention you can get buff lifting that motor). And while the Breville is more compact, I still have to take it apart to fit in a cabinet.
      I know clean up is big with ALL machines - so some will say - suck it up buttercup - you do what you gotta do... but I don't wanna .. lol. Looking at other vids and reviews - for the Ninja, Cuisinart and beyond - I think I am going to go with the Cuisinart. No mesh to clean up also means pulp (I'm sure), but using and rinsing out a strainer vs scrubbing that mesh - give me the strainer!
      Thanks again for your thoughtful response! I truly appreciate it! I just discovered your channel - I have enjoyed looking at older review and can't wait for what's next :)

      Happy Sunday🌞. Yes, this is normal after the first time using the juicer. No worries, nothing to be concerned about. The change of color will not effect or cause any harm after juicing. What happens is the forced of the auger crushing the veggies into juice between the hard plastic screen will cause coloration to both, auger and plastic screens. There is tremendous forced being put through the screen that is creating discoloration from the veggies.
      That said, if you open the box and the screen and auger are discolored, send it back and exchange it! That means your purchased was a used juicer. Otherwise, your juicer is fine and will continue to produce healthy juice months to come👍

      Congratulations on your new Juicer🤗. Yes. This is normal. Most juice extractors cold press or not will leave some pulp inside the juice. Depending what is being extracted some fruits or veggies will have more pulp then others. There is no way getting around unless to add a strainer on top of the container when extracting. Or, after extracting use the strainer when pouring the extracted juice into a drinking class. Side note: most folks will discard the extra pulp and not realizing it is the most important part getting fiber into the body. But, if you feel it is too much pulp then use a strainer for best results.

    Have you been able to find out the rpm of this juicer anywhere? It's not mentioned in the manual. I'd like no more than 65rpm. Also you'd think the mesh baskets with the stainless steel holes extract extract best because they are so tiny but do you think the baskets on This extract just as well? Is it because the inner basket pushes the contents between the slits in the outer basket?

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety +2

      Rachelle, WOW! Did I hit a stumbling block in reference to your question -oh goodness 😱! Did some digging, I too, can’t find the rpm for this juicer (I should had known better -my fault.) Most slow masticating juicers rpm is set to 80 or 90 with the exception for Hurom H101 Easy Clean Slow Juicer, 43 rpm. Hurom H101 is the only slow masticating juicer with the lowest rpm that I’m aware of. On the other hand, you’re looking to pay around $499 up or to $599 for the Hurom H101. My opinion, I had the H101 and it was okay. Many pros to the Hurom, but not enough to justify the price point. Also, Hurom requires a lot of prep work before adding the veggies down into that narrow shoot. Otherwise, expect ongoing jams if the veggies aren’t cut into small sizes.
      Does the 43 rpm really matter comparing to those with 80 or 90? That depends on the auger, screen, and motor wattage. Many masticating brands with 80 or 90 can do or a better job getting the most extraction from your veggies and fruits compared to Hurom easy clean or their stainless steal screen models. Why, the design of the auger and screen is the most critical part for extracting veggies and fruits. And adding to the high wattage will provide enough power to keep the augur from struggling when extracting hard veggies. One of the hardest veggies having to extract is celery. Due to the amount of celery fiber strands, a juicer will need to break it all down and extract without overheating, it’s going to take a well designed mesh and augur with a very powerful motor. So, should the rpm be a concerned when seeking for a new juicer? Not really -in my opinion.
      Inner hard plastic vs stainless steal screen, which is better? The obvious will be the stainless steal. But, the cons to the stainless steal is cleanup 🧽 and clogging. A whole lot of time is needed for cleaning those bits and pieces of fibers gouged into those tiny holes. Also, if not making a habit to rotate the different types of veggies and fruits, the stainless steel screen will clog, forcing a backup inside the juicer. Another con for the stainless steal screen is forcing large veggies down the shoot, this too will cause the augur to work harder and fiber buildup onto the screen. The pros for the stainless steal screen it will produce good quality of jucie extraction.
      Yes, the Cuisinart Easy Clean Slow Juicer extracts really good. And yes, the way Cuisinart extracts by using two hard plastics mesh is somewhat the way we squeezed by hand. Is it perfect? No. Is the Cuisinart as good compared to the Hurom H101, I believe so. Cuisinart has a larger shoot which is capable of handling larger veggies and fruits, except for celery -always needs to be cut for any brand or type of masticating juicer. With a larger shoot means less time to prep. Hard plastic meshes means easy clean 🧼. Is the pulp dry compared to many another big brands, pretty much, but not perfect. Is the Cuisinart outer housing cheap or feels heavy duty? Not cheap but not heavy duty. So, will this last a long time? I can’t really say. There isn’t enough ownership to give a life expectancy for this juicer.
      Bottom line, For what Cuisinart is offering for their Easy Clean Slow Juicer at an unbelievable price point, why not give it a try. Rachelle, if you’re not satisfied with the product there is no obligation to keep it before the 30 day return window is up. But, what if you’re satisfied? You just saved a few hundred bucks 🤓! By the way, I reached out to Cuisinart (on hold for almost an hour -happening to many large companies) and was hoping to have an answer about the rpm -not😩! Instead, Cuisinart expedited a ticket to their tech support and will hear back within three business days. Should have an answer by this coming Friday or sooner.
      Before I leave you, allow me to provide a good and honest recommendation for another trust worthy masticating juicer brand -Breville Big Squeeze Juicer. www.breville.com/us/en/products/juicers/bjs700.html
      This is one of the best in my opinion masticating juice extractors with a stainless steel screen. Just a thought. Also, here is a CZcams video by FitforLife TV. @@rachelleboyd6991 Awesome! I can’t wait for your feedback. I highly recommend to follower these few basic rules after receiving your new Cuisinart juicer. Rotation! Rotate all your mixed veggies and fruits down the shoot. Rotating will prevent backup, keeps the plastic mesh clear, and producing better juice (this applies to all juicer brands.)
      Carrots: Cut any thick carrots before placing it in the shoot. Skinny carrots no need to cut. Beets: Large or small, cut them in half or in quarters. Celery is one of the hardest veggies to extract. Although, I used a whole celery stick down the shoot in my video -don’t. Cut the celery in half. Due to the high amount of fiber stings, celery can backlog your juicer or any type of juicers. Celery can also put a strain on the motor which may cause the juicer to overheat (carrots too.) So, it is best practice to cut celery before extracting.
      Soft fruits such as bananas is a big no. Any soft fruits or those contain mostly water not recommended, bananas, watermelon, grapes, etc…
      Lemon, orange, or grapefruit: peal the outer skin.
      Like most juice extractors wheatgrass is not recommended for this model. Only a few masticating juicer (very few) are designed to extract wheatgrass. Most juicers will throw your money down the drain trying to extract wheatgrass. Herbal greens, I placed on a single romaine lettuce and wrap it , extracts really well.
      Almond milk: soak almonds over night or at least 6 - 8 hours during the day. Can damage juicer by using non soaked almonds (applies to any juicer brands.) Using two, three, or four cups of almonds, placed one cup of soaked almonds at a time down the shoot. Wait for all soaked almonds have been extracted before adding the next cup down the shoot.
      I haven’t heard back from Cuisinart. I am hoping by Saturday or Monday the latest. Yeah, I don’t trust Amazon reviews. Sadly, most Amazon reviews are paid in my opinion. Either way, I will stay on top of Cuisinart to get me a answer one way or another.

      Happy Wednesday 😁. I haven’t tried Viesimple Slow Juicer. I did research it on Amazon and looks interesting. I can’t say pro’s or con’s. From past experiences did purchase some of Amazon’s knockoff juicers and returned them. Not to say the Viesimple isn’t any good, just not sure if it will replace the Cuisinart.
      Absolutely 👍! I’m not against making nut milk from slow juicers. You can make almond or cashew milk with the Cuisinart. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter which route you attempt to make nut milk, it will take some time and work.
      Secret or success of almond milk is by soaking them over night and remove the skin before extracting. This is true regardless any other methods is being used (Juice Extractors). Once the almonds had been extracted use a strainer such as a cheese cloth. If you don’t, you will end up with tiny pieces that is hard to consume and won’t taste good. After straining add equals amount of water (I used distilled water) and go by taste. Don’t add all of the water at once, little at a time until you like the taste.
      So here are the steps;
      1. Soak over night.
      2. Remove the skin. Skin comes right off using your fingers.
      3. Transfer the almonds to a clean bowl.
      4. Turn on the Cuisinart and no more than a hand full placed it down the shoot. Let them extract and add more until finished.
      5. Used a clean bowl to filter the liquid almonds through a cheesecloth.
      6. Add the filter almond milk to a glass jar
      7. Add water (distilled) to the same amount of almond milk. So, if the jar is half almond milk filled, add the same amount of water. But, do add water little at a time. And taste each time water is added. Some folks like their almond milk thick and others less thick.
      Do note, Almond milk will last about a week in the refrigerator. Also, there will be a separation and may not look good at all -this is NORMAL😁. Yeah, before drinking the almond milk sake it or stir it. After a week you may taste bitterness and this means the almond milk is going bad.
      The steps above is the same for cashew milk with the exception of removing skin. No skin on the cashews.

      Alex, sorry for the music overriding the juicer sound. Although, the crunching you can hear is pretty much the sounds coming from juicer. Yes, the motor has a very low dB -very low. There is no high pitch sound whatsoever. Again, my apologies. Thank you for your comments. And thank you taking your valuable time out watching my video. hi, I'm trying to decide between cuisinart csj-300 or breville cold press centrifugal. Which do you prefer? Thanks

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety +2

      Awesome question🙋! This will depend on the type of juicing and lifestyle you’re going to implement or approach a healthier eating habit -if you have not done so? No one juicer fits all. I love them both. But, when I started juicing several years ago using a Breville Cold press centrifugal (Breville BJE530BSS Juice Fountain Cold Plus Centrifugal Juicer -Brushed Stainless Steel $249.) it was my go to juicer from morning, afternoon, to evening. Breville is great for carrots, celery, onions, beets, apples, pineapples, cucumbers, lemons, and any other hard veggies or fruits. Incorporating spinach, kale, herbs, garlic, ginger, was a less extraction which ended up less volume of juice. So, even though I was getting more juice extracted from the hard fruits and veggies, the soft items was frustrating me, the juicer was not extracting those items well -money down the drain. Mind you, my first time juicing was for the sole purpose to detox and this meant only to juice with carrots 🥕, celeries, apples 🍎, garlic 🧄, and ginger. I would used part of a romaine lettuce 🥬 to rapped the ginger and garlic 🧄 into the leaf for a good extraction. After months following this routine, I started to incorporate the soft greens. And again, adding the soft veggies only became more apparent I was throwing money down the drain.
      I decided to invest into a cold press juicer, Tribest Slowstar Vertical Cold Press Juicer -$499. At the time, Tribest Slowstar was absolutely one of the best juice extractors I made an investment in🤓. Not only did Tribest Slowstar extractor fruits 🍎 🍉 and veggies 🍅 really good, it made sorbet too. Tribest Slowstar saved me so much money by extracting any type of soft to hard greens without a hitch. I had as much as the same if not more volume of juice and dry pulp too, comparing to the Breville. I was in love 😍 with the new juice extractor, so I thought. After a month or two using the Tribest Slowstar juicer I was getting frustrated how much time it will take me away from other routines. Again, the Tribest Slowstar is a well made workhorse juice extractor, but that is where it stops 🛑. Too much time goes into extracting to make a juice. Most of the time is taken away from preparing all the veggies and fruits 🍎. Totally different vs the Breville. With the Breville, all whole carrots, apples, pears, and celeries fit down the shoot. Tribest Slowstar requirements is to cut veggies and fruits into small amounts before sending them down the shoot, or it will jam the unit if not prepared the correct way. Besides prepping the food items, clean up was totally different compared to the Breville, it was time consuming to get the fibers cleaned 🧽 from the damn metal screens! It was a pain in you know what😩? So, juicing at least two to three times a day, Tribest Slowstar wasn’t the answer. I ended going back to the Breville.
      Note: During the years I had tried many types and brands of juice extractors, Omega cold press (all models,) Nama, and even knockoffs from Amazon. What I learned throughout the years not one is perfect or one model made for every single lifestyle. My very first juicer was “the Juice Man,” Jay Kordich -lol. Besides Jack Lalanne, Jay Kordich was thee promoter for juicing. Jay Kordich, the father of juicing passed from this world in 2017 at the age of 93. He passed in his sleep from natural causes. Jay stand by his products, but more so, lived by doing it and helping others getting the health benefits of juicing as a living example . He was an amazing human being.
      Breville or Cuisinart ? After my long juicing journey and going back to the Breville, it wasn’t until recently I decided to try both blenders, Vitamix Ascent A3500 and Breville Super Q. Two brands I will showcase soon. What I found and interesting enough that this two models not only out performed my Cuisinart Easy Clean and Breville Cold press, but made my life exceedingly well. -easy. Also, My savings soooo much money on produce was just crazy good. Most of the veggies and fruits 🍉 are frozen organic bags I purchased at Whole Foods. Kale or spinach that are not frozen, I freezes them. What makes these two blenders stand out from centrifugal or cold press I can do more and get the same results in less time. Yes, yes, some will debate the difference between a blender vs a cold press and claim one burns the nutrients and the other preserves them. Like all things in life, there are opinions for everything. For me, a good blender will get the job done and still maintain good health. I would rather have a blender over instead of process foods any day!
      So, there are pros and cons in any juicer you may be looking at to invest your hard earned money 💰, but the one you’re going to decide on must be the one that fits your budget, provide time to make the juice, save on produce, and hassle free from clean up.
      The Cuisinart Easy Clean is one of the best price range for extracting and clean up. The Cuisinart at its price point can extract well and most items don’t need to be cut into small amounts with the exception for celery (high in fiber strings.) What you can’t do is use frozen vegetables or fruits in the Cuisinart. Besides from that I don’t know what the longevity that this small appliance will last. Cuisinart seems to do a well job for now. Will it last for five years? Not sure. But, it is the lest inexpensive juice extractor that does not have a metal screen with five billion tiny holes. Cuisinart is super easy to clean with it’s hard plastic mesh. Is is BPA free, not to my knowledge. That is something to consider. But, some folks may not be familiar with that there are some products claiming to be BPA free still contain the hazardous chemical by a different name. Companies don’t have to disclose the different BPA chemical names, (it is so corrupt if we only knew what is in our foods and products will make our heads spin -really sad and true 😔.)
      Yes, if you’re on the defense between the Cuisinart or Breville, get the Cuisinart. That is, if you’re going to add greens 🥬 into your daily juicing. But, the Breville will last for many years and it is still one of the best fast, quick, and easy centrifugal extractor besides a blender, if not doing much greens. Again, this is important, depending what you’re going to juice on a daily basis and how many times a day will depend on the type of juicer. Even though I made this video to showcase how wonderful the Cuisinart is, knowing what I know now about the Vitamix or Breville Supper Q blender, these juice blenders are highly recommended. Below I will provide you with serval links and hopefully it may help in your buying decision. I also listed a Breville combo, juicer and a blender. If you want both worlds to juice and to blend, then the Breville Two-In-One may be the idea small appliance at your budget.
      I hope this wasn’t too long to get the point. I felt there was a need for a true honest answer. I am sure I could had kept it simple, but I think this long version provides a better understanding what may be good for you before making that purchase -you worked too hard to throw that money out the door.

      @LouRao  Před rokem

      Great question 👍. I think for the most part Nama J2 and any of the Kuving models are too expensive -over priced in my opinion. If I had to choose between the Nama J2 or Kuving 830 I would absolutely go with the J2, no question ask. Although the Namo J2 is overpriced and overrated on CZcams and other social media (PAID) I feel there are more pros than cons compared to Kuving. Don’t get me wrong, Kuving is a great juice extractor and performs well on most veggies and some fruits, but after the introduction of Nama J2 I feel it has a lot more features you don’t get in most Juice extractors. One of the benefits of the Nama J2 is the ability to add all of your veggies and fruits into the canister and walk away (most of the time). This feature stands out compared to others were you have to feed small items into the shoot one at a time and in order. And the Nama produces more juice yield compared to Kuving. Juicing for 20+ years and I have tried most of the juice extractors. That is why I highly recommend the Crisinart Easy Clean Juicer and more so for newbie’s. It is inexpensive but will produce quality juice compared to leading expensive brands. Are there pro and cons with Cuisinart? Absolutely. But more pros than cons that makes this juicer a deal breaker.
      But, if you’re in the long haul juicing and what to rip the benefits of a healthy life style I would encourage you to give the Nama a try, when it is on sale. Sales usually takes place three times out of the year. If you want to juice now and then I highly recommend the Cuisinart. Of cause, decisions will be based on your budget. If your budget allows you for Nama J2 and want to take juicing seriously, go for it.
      Note: I don’t want to confuse you but need to add one more brand. Breville the 3X Bluice Pro.
      (www.breville.com/us/en/products/bluicers/bjb815.html?sku=BJB815BSS1BUS1)
      I have this all-in-one juicer and blender. I use it most of the times vs the Cuisinart. Why? Breville the 3X Bluice Pro allows me to take average of both worlds, I can make smoothies and extract juice on a daily basis. This combo system allow anyone to get the full benefits of nutrition without having to buy two small appliances. Plus, Only Breville backs their products with a ten year warranty. NO OTHER COMPANY does it!!!!! If you think about it, the savings is having one of the top engineers products in a small factor compared to purchasing a juice extractor $$$ and a high speed blender $$$ separate. If you’re going to buy two separate small appliances looking between $800 to $1k.
      Conclusion. Here are my choice list starting with 1 being the best.

    This or the nutri ninja slow juicer which one is better

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety

      Rick, I do prefer Cuisinart Easy Clean Juicer over the Ninja. This is not to say Ninja is a bad product, Cuisinart large shoot and the amount of time to make juice is a game changer compared to the Ninja. And clean up with the Cuisinart is a breeze. Also, Cuisinart can make nut milks. The Ninja pulp and Cuisinart are about the same, both not too dry or wet. Besides for both products performance the Ninja takes advantage for storage, low profile.
      Also, Here is the answer to your other question that wasn’t posted on main the comment page but in my notification comment list. Wanted to make sure you had both questions answered:
      (From Rick: Wouldn't a nutri ninja blender be better u get the fiber and juice and easier to clean?)
      Awesome question! This question has been going on for years and is still present. Some will argue a blender is more superior then a slow masticating or fast juicer, and vice verse. Depending what articles you read or talk to there will never be the same answers. My opinion, both are just as good. Both provide enough fiber for your daily allowance. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Depends on the lifestyle you’re trying to achieve will determine which juicer is best to do the job.
      Fact, Besides the Cuisinart I have a Vitamix and few other slow juicer bands. I used all of them. Yes, a blender will provide more fiber intake vs a slow juicer. On the other hand, too much is an over kill for some folks to handle. Too much of anything is not a good thing.
      I used a blender to make quick smoothies, peanut butter, ice cream (only with fruits -no added sugars,) and soups. Slow juicer is for making carrots drinks (mixed with beats and other veggies,) and almond milk. With a slow juicer no need to add liquid’s, pure 100% juice. With a blender, veggies or fruits are deluded with some form of liquid’s, water, coconut water, etc… Breville slow juicers can stay in fridge up to five days, due to its patent slow technology. So, I make a few batches. Cuisinart, when I don’t feel like cleaning all the Breville parts and not making batches. Honestly, no need to invest too much money for both types of juicers, slow or blenders. Is there a benefit having both types? Absolutely!
      Almost forgot to mention, I like to add all types of omega 3/6 seeds into a blender. With a good a blender the seeds will get broken down. Can’t add seeds, nuts, soft fruits, some leafy greens, into most slow fast juicer’s, similar to the Breville. A slow masticating vertical or Cuisinart juicers no issues for the exception of seeds. Seeds in a good blender no issues.
      Would I own a Ninja blender? No. Fact, I returned it. I had two Ninja blender models and wasn’t impressed -whatsoever. If you’re in the market for an inexpensive blender, Nutrabullet in my opinion seems to do just fine. If you can up the spending, I highly recommend any of the Vitamix models or a Breville. Or, if you want to play it safe as a first time buyer then go for the Cuisinart & Nutrabullet, both will serve you well getting the nutrient performance you may be looking for. Remember, can’t do all things in just a blender or slow juicer. It has to be one or the other. Or, have both so that you’re not limited.
      Again, both products are decent based on dollar amounts from other leading brands, but I happened to like the Cuisinart instead. Thank you taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe.🤓

    Nice. Why did you chose this over hurom etc.

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety +1

      Price comparison, $159 vs $500 🤓. Cuisinart is less expensive comparing to “Hurom 101 Easy Clean Juicer.” Without a doubt, Hurom is a better made juicer comparing to Cuisinart 👍. But, just like the Cuisinart, Hurom comes with faults at a high price point. Hurom juicers (all models) are known for overheating. Like many other slow juicers, Hurom’s are known for jams when extracting hard vegetables. Can’t load large amounts of vegetables into the shoot, the juicer will sometimes jam. Vegetables need to be cut into very small pieces at all times. This means preparing the vegetables is going to take longer😢. Putting aside some limitations and following the instruction manually to the tee, anyone that can afford to spend $500 then Hurom is an awesome slow juicer that will last for years💪.
      My opinion, Cuisinart at $159 can extract just as good as a $500 vertical slow juicer juicer. Is the Cuisinart perfect? Far from it. Can the Cuisinart make ice cream? No😢. This unit doesn’t come with a ice cream strainer compared to all of the Hurom models. And that is ok. I use my Vitamix to make 100% all natural homemade ice cream which is much better then a slow juicer with that type of attachment. If you’re looking to just extract vegetables and some fruits then that is what the Cuisinart is designed for. Can the Cuisinart make Almond milk? Absolutely! Without the extra attachments and some limitations, Cuisinart does a good job extracting vegetables and fruits 🤓. OMG! Just like the Hurom 101 Easy Clean Juicer, the Cuisinart clean up is soooo much easier then any other juicers with a metal strainer -period. There is no comparison with juicers that have a metal strainer. Hurom 101 or Cuisinart, the amount of cleaning time saved can only be experienced from owning one of these two juicers. Amazing!
      Side note: With a non metal strainer juicer one must be a little patient and get into a habit rotating items for a good yield. Plus, it will help from overheating. And this is specially true for both, Cuisinart and Hurom. Also, using the Cuisinart, no need to cut most of the vegetables into small pieces -less prep time.
      Last, gave away my Tribest Slowstar that had all the bells 🔔 and whistles which I paid $500 during the time of purchase. Why? It was a pain in you know what to clean and too much prep time to cut up the vegetables. I gave it away because the Cuisinart was easy to use, extracting very good, larger vegetables down the shoot, and non metal strainer which means clean up is now a breeze. I also owned the Hurom H-AA slow juicer and that too went bye-bye.
      If Cuisinart did not have a slow juicer I would absolutely buy the Hurom 101 Easy Clean Juicer. But, I would not go back to any slow juicer with a metal strainer unless it is a cold press centrifugal juicers by Breville 👍.
      I hope this reply helped. Thank you for taking your valuable time out to watch my video. Please stay safe! Have an awesome day! 🤓

And the price difference 159 to 500 $ is huge, I agree. I will never go back to s steel strainers too once I buy easy clean slow juicer. I saw more pulp being added to juice compared to the steel strainer, Does that happen with this cusineart as well !

    Hello, I am just going to acquire an extractor and I have been investigating, I have a question in another comment recommends another extractor (Breville)
    If you want to use harder fruits or vegetables, I want to use that type of vegetables but also soft, it is worth mentioning that it. I want to use daily or minimum have juice for two days and redo for the third, or make fresh juice daily if it is not an option to save it on freezer
    the amount I would consume is a daily glass of vegetable juice, may be 3 glasses on a day (when my boyfriend wants taste one) ( the only one who would really consume would be me) do you think this extractor ciisinart works for me?, I'm from Mexico. In reviews I've read that it lasts a month, and that it has trouble crushing hard vegetables.
    😢 And your video does not shows that problem.

      @LouRao  Před rokem

      Your questions are valid and will do my best to answer them. There are so many different types of extractors to choose from but all them have one thing in common, break down the fibers into juice. But, what separates a slow juicers (Cold Press) from a centrifugals is time and types of vegetables and fruits could be extracted. A slow (cold press) such as Cuisinart Easy Clean has the ability to extract leafy greens and most fruits. Plus, the advantage of a for most slow juice to make nut milk. A Centrifugals Juice Extractor is convenient for its ability to extract hard veggies within seconds. Now, some will auger Centrifugals juices kill the nutrients due to the high speed (Building up heat) and I say that is nonsense. This augment has been going on for years. It is my judgment for those in favor of a cold press are anti against centrifugals no matter what the data shows. Either way, centrifugals is just as good as a cold press. Where a Centrifugals juicer fails is its ability to extract all of the leafy veggies, garlic, ginger, and fruits that are nearly water based. Yes, these food items will extract but most of its content ends up in the waste container.
      As for the Breville, I would not recommended the the Big Squeeze, it’s one product Breville makes as a slow juice extractors. As much as I love Breville products, the Big Squeeze is not worth the price tag. When it comes to Centrifugals Juicers, Breville is by far the best in the market. And a centrifugals juicer is great for carrots, celery, apples, pears, or any hard veggies or fruits.
      So, the fact is there are not one extractors that can do all the types of veggies and fruits in a single consumer machine. But, a slow juicer can do most veggies and fruits than a centrifugals juicer. This is why I highly recommend the Cuisinart for its price tag. It’s not perfect but what is? It does the job compared to top brands with their hefty price tags. There is a tendency for the Cuisinart to great more pulp than others, but all juice extractors will have pulp. That is why a mesh is your best friend when juicing -from any types of juicers. It’s my opinion you will get the benefits of all the nutrients from whatever vegetables or fruits using the Cuisinart. And the Cuisinart is so easy to clean.
      If you’re still considering a slow juicer over centrifugal and can spend more or make timely payments, I highly recommend “Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer.” namawell.com/products/nama-j2-cold-press-juicer
      There are many awesome reviews on CZcams with a discount code for Nama J2. I will be placing my order soon and without a doubt knowing I’m getting a top of the line cold press juice extractor. But, if your budget is an issue then I highly recommend the Cuisinart Easy Clean juicer. Hope I helped.

      @LouRao  Před rokem +2

      Great questions👍. This is not a yes or no answer. All depends what types of veggies/fruits used and for how long extracting for both, stainless steel or hard plastic mesh juicers. Juicers with a stainless steel mesh will produced a little more juice and less pulp until the mesh starts clogging. Hard plastic mesh will take far longer for the pulp to build up around the auger but it does yield more pulp from the start of extracting.. In reality, both stainless steel and hard plastic mesh end up having nearly the same amount of pulp during a long run extracting veggies/fruits. The only exception for the stainless steel mesh is during the beginning of extraction there is less pulp.
      And folks not liking a lot of pulp juicing on a daily basis will use a fine mesh strainer for both types of juicers, with a stainless steel or hard plastic mesh.

And trust me, making no excuses for the problems you’re having. I have mine since the time of this video with no issues. But, doesn’t mean other folks will have problems. And sadly, unexpectedly your juicer is malfunctioning. That said, contact Cuisinart for a replacement, they’re pretty good backing up their products as long as the product is still being made. And you’re within the warranty. Just make sure you have proof of purchase. They may want a short video/photos showing the issues, have them ready just in case. Don’t hesitate getting back with an update for the replacement. If you have problems getting it replace (I doubt it) let me know.

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety +2

      Ok, wow! This is the first. I didn’t know or knew Nama came out with a new juicer. Thank you for bringing this to my attention! Because it is too new, it would be a hard call to compare. Yet, I did take the time out to research as much as I can after reading your comment. First, Nama J2 has a five star rating, but you know how I feel about ratings, mostly paid comments and shared with other resellers.
      Second, by viewing the demonstration and the ease of juicing, no doubt this seems amazing. Although, there is still prep work to be done. Many of the veggies have to be cut to fit into the the large container. Some fruits have to be sliced and pealed. So, prepping is still without an option. Less prepping compared to Cuisinart? In some areas. I love you can add all the ingredients into the large container or monster shoot -👏 Can’t do that with any other juice extractor on the market. That is pretty cool!
      Thirdly, stainless steal mesh screen is still a pain to clean compared to the Cuisinart. Yeah, you can add amounts of “pealed” oranges that will fit inside the container, but the mesh will clogged and cleaning it is no breeze. No matter what extractor brand or model that has a stainless steal mesh, it will clogged and it is a pain to clean. I also question hard veggies. Can the stress on the motor handle carrots or beets? Don’t know. And because this is too new to recommend, it is hard to compare. So, not sure if this may overheat due to stress from hard veggies. I also don’t believe you can keep the skin on lemons, pineapples, limes, etc… Again, not sure.
      Last, the price! I do think Nama makes a fantastic juicers to a point, but over priced in my opinion. Think about it, $550 gets you to add a bunch more produced into the extractor vs something between $200 to $300 that may take a few minutes more of your time to make juice isn’t worth the price tag. If you can get near the amount of juice and quality from a less inexpensive juice extractor, why pay more? Also, Let’s not forget Nama Cold Press “Vitality 5800” model had a lot of returns. No matter the ratings for Vitality 5800, there were too many returns. Main reason, the stress of the motor was too weak and overheated. And that model is priced at $400 before tax. And speaking of tax! Nama J2 with tax is now $588.50. For me, that is $600 bucks of hard earned money just to make juice. And, we have to add the cost of produced going up -insane prices. Over cost produced and high priced tag juicer is something to consider. I prefer to but my money for less inexpensive juicer and more toward organic veggies and fruits.
      Now that you brought this to my attention would I consider to test run Nama J2 for a near future video? Most likely. At this time, would I recommend Nama J2 without testing it? No. Fact, with a little extra time to make juice in a less inexpensive extractor, I highly recommend to go to that route. Remember, ads play on our psychic and so powerful, after watching we are most likely convinced the product is time savings, need it, must have it, etc… Wait for real non paid users to really give their in take on Nama J2. Or, go with my opinion and find a less inexpensive juice extractor that will serve you well.
      Thank you for taking your valuable time out for watching my video. Have an awesome day! And, as always, stay safe!

      @@Reddylion You’re welcome. But do keep this in mind that the Cuisinart isn’t perfect either. Also, I still don’t know the longevity for this juicer. I only recommend it because it does a decent job extracting juice for the low cost. Does the Cuisinart come with limitations? Absolutely. Are the limitations justified not to buy? I don’t think so. Knowing I seemed to focus on the ease of cleaning which is not the main reason to buy. Cuisinart can produce quality juice that the pulpit is almost dry, depending on the veggies or fruits. Not perfect, but almost dry. Let me add, always going to be winner or not with any other brands people review. Some will say no to the Cuisinart and others will say yes. It’s about getting an item and putting it through your own personal test. This way you will either love it or not. To me, reviews is just based on the idea of some else’s personal opinion. And in my opinion, I think this low budget juicer is pretty awesome. Reviews shouldn’t be absolute testimony on some else’s opinions -including me. Rather, reviews should be looked at as a concept or idea to what the product may help, enhance, or enjoy that best fits your needs. Nothing more or less.
      Yeah, if you looking around for a juicer and haven’t narrow it down, I recommend to give the Cuisinart a try. Nothing to lose. You have 30 days return policy with Amazon, 60 or 90 days with Target, and Walmart. If you decide to get it and the Cuisinart is a good choice then you just saved yourself a whole lot bucks. Would I do a extended warranty? Absolutely! I don’t necessarily agree with buying extended warranties, but in this case I would. Again, don’t know the longevity for the Cuisinart. So yeah, I would get the extended warranty.

      Mareline, Good question! Honestly, I didn’t try extracting a whole lemon without peeling. If correct, vertical slow masticating cold juicers do required lemons, limes, oranges, etc… to be peeled. Otherwise, not peeling may put stress on the motor. Extracting hard fruits with skin on is best handled using a centrifugal juicer. Centrifugal juicer will extract without removing the skin, watermelons, oranges, lemons, limes, pineapples, etc… Keeping skins on most fruits will not put stress on a fast Centrifugal fast juicer.

    Is this considered a cold press juicer?

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před rokem +1

      Hey Rick, Cuisinart Easy Clean Juicer is a cold press juicer. Of cause, this will depend who you ask in the juice world. I consider the Cuisinart to be as close to a real cold press machine you can get or any other masticating juicers. Here is why. Centrifugal (fast juicers) are not cold press. The RPM is running high causing oxidation due to heat build up. Masticating Juicers (slow press) averaging around 30-50 RPM, items crushed by the auger and pushed through a sharp screen is considered a cold press. Low RPM means minimum heat build up (if any). But, some would auger most masticating juicers are not cold press, I beg the difference. The slower RPM’s for that juicer puts it in the cold press category. No matter if the extraction taking place by crushing and then pushing through a screen, it’s the low RPM what makes or identifiers a cold press. No matter if the juicer is vertical, horizontally, upside down, or sideways, it’s a cold press juicer. Plus, with a masticating juicers there are no heat development during extraction process due to the low RPM. And that is what the Cuisinart Easy Clean Juicer is, a masticating juicer.
      True cold press is done by hydraulic using two pieces of metal or other hard materials squeezing veggies or fruits together instead of a auger. And the cost is $$$$$. Hydraulic cold press juicers are limited to some veggies. Depending on the produce it will out performed a centrifugal and masticating juicers. Yet, a hydraulic cold press juicer will require patience’s and time to complete a single serving. You must have patience and time if making juice on a daily basis.
      So, a masticating juicer is close to the real thing and maybe better at with less fruits and veggies limits. For the price point you can’t go wrong trying the Easy Clean Juicer. And let’s face it, it is not going to be perfect, but the pros do outweigh the cons. Is it as good or better say higher end brand names masticating juices? Better? Most liking not. As Good? Yes for getting the job done at this price point.
      I hope I help and adding the extra steps understanding the difference of juicers. Otherwise, thank you for taking your valuable time watching my video. Have an awesome weekend 😎

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao  Před 2 lety

      That is a good question and hope to help anyway I can. Every two days should not be an issue. But, not sure what you mean by a lot? And do you mean a lot on those specific days? Also, are we talking about hard veggies, carrots, beets, etc…. If yes, and you planed to extract in large quantities or batches, I wouldn’t recommend it. Any “slow” juicers not made commercially in my opinion will tear down the motor after extracting large quantities of hard veggies -in do time.
      For your situation, I highly recommended getting the Cuisinart for leafy greens and a Breville Cold Fountain Juicer for the hard veggies. The Breville Gold Fountian Juice has a container that is 70 fl. oz. So, you can make up to 70 fl.oz. of pure juice that will last for five days in the refrigerator. Reason I am telling to buy both, because the Cuisinart is better at extracting leafy greens vs the Breville. Less waste with leafing greens with the Cuisinart. Any centrifugal juicer is far better for hard veggies vs a mastiacting. As stated, you can have both worlds using the Cuisinart and Breville together. This way no worries over heating either juicers. And I would make the greens in one juicer and do the hard veggies in the other and combined them both in the Breville container. I have both and most of the times follow the recommendation I’m sharingI’m sharing with you. It works great for me. I have an extra Breville container which works out having enough juice for several days.
      Also, the Breville is supper easy to clean. Plus, the pup from the Breville is almost dry. Please realize there are more debates for which is better, centrifugal vs masticating. Some will say to stay away from centrifugal because the heat will kill most of the nutrients -I say nonsense. Yes, this debate has been going on for over 20+ years and seems to never end.

      At the time Joe Cross was using a low budget juicer turned his health around -hundred fold. So, I hope this help you to provide the care for those two cancer patients that are desperately in need. If I may also recommend is to keep both patients OFF OF EVERY TYPE OF PROCESS FOODS. I mean every kind! Remove any type of sugars too. Unsaturated fats big no no. 100% be careful for any fresh poultry or fish injected with high sodium. Besides chemicals and pesticides in the process foods, high sodium and sugar (all) leads to some form of cancer. Any type of cancer lives off sugar. Just a recommendation. If you can, placed them on a organic veggies only, besides just juicing. Yes, veggies have proteins, so no need to worry. Like the cows, the ducks, chickens, etc… get their proteins from the soil. Yeah, same for our vegetables too.

      Thank you for the info. First, I’m not an expert in nutrition. That said, after 20 or so years I did gain some knowledge chewing vs juicing. And both are just as important for health. Chewing veggies vs extracting from a juicer is a big difference compared to amounts of fiber and nutrients intake. Say, the nutrients in a fresh extracted carrot drink vs chewing is quite of a difference. To get equal amounts of nutrition by chewing carrots compared to drinking the juice is by far more consumptions. A person would have to eat a bunch of carrots to equal a small glass of extracted juice. Second, drinking the extracted carrot juice goes into the bodies blood stream faster vs chewing.
      Example, those with hypertension, drinking a half or full glass of celery juice will bring down their BP within a half hour. Same with beets juice. To get the same benefits by chewing celery or beets one would need to consumed at least a bunch or more. That is a lot of chewing! And that is a lot of fiber for anyone to handle all at once. Yeah, chewing your veggies is a good thing, it has its place. Both chewing and extracting juice are beneficial to our overall health. Chewing organic veggies everyday and limiting processing foods, chicken, and fish (high metals) will benefit the overall health looking to making a lifestyle changes. Including organic juicing into the lifestyle changes will dramatically detox the body, lowing BP, help repair the gut, excellent for cancer patients, etc… If we limited all the bad foods in our diets and stay with veggies, our health benefits will increased but not as quickly as compared to juicing.
      So, absolutely both chewing and drinking fresh extracted organic juice plays an important role to better health. But, why would we want to limit one over the other? 😎
      Thank you for the comments and taking you’re valuable time out watching my video. Have an awesome day and stay safe 😎
