I use marine armor and I don’t even have any perks and i have better resistance. I also use ballistic weave army fatigues and battered fedora with it to get the max resistance. It doesn’t even look very bad because marine armor is awesome

You left out an important part... Butcher's Bill needs to be active before PAM will offer you a sidequest. You can get Butcher's Bill from Dr. Carrington after turning in Boston After Dark. I mention this because on my first try, Boston After Dark auto completed and I didn't talk to Carrington because I didn't know about the Butcher's Bill requirement.
I had finished that quest before talking to pam

with the marine armor from farharbor i got my armor up on 286 in egergy and damage recistence

the minutemen outfit can be upgraded with the ballistic weave too, same stats as the baseball uniform but has a diferent look. This outfit can be obtained from dead minutemens or from clothing vendors (at least from level 3 vendor im sure)

When you go to fight the synths at the old railroad hq make sure you take the stealth route, because if you take the brute force approach the power for the elevator that leads to the base won’t be on and you’ll have to go do the stealthy path anyway. In case anyone is curious why the game devs did this there are a bunch of railroad signs that Deacon explains down in the tunnel when you take the stealth pathway and if the devs didn’t make you go down there you wouldn’t get an explanation for what the other railroad signs mean.

The courser uniform gives you a bonus of 20 damage and energy resistant where if u were to where normla uniform, it would say like 60 damage resist. But if u wear courser, it would say 80 or 90 dmg resist instead
It'd be cool if there was an upgrade for the Ballistic weave that allowed you to mod all the other clothing you can't mod.

The best is actually 466 armor for what I use is minuteman outfit with a fedora and the armor I use is recon marine armor and and for the leg pieces I use the inquisitiror's marine armor lef and right leg which gives me 466 armor protection 465 energy resistances and 90 rads resistances

Great the things I miss when I get carried away with killing the railroad with the the brotherhood
Biggest problem with the missions for PAM:
She send you to a random settlement... RANDOM!
Which means if you try to get this as early as possible you can end up being send to a settlement far far away in a very dangerous place.
And sometimes this is quite impossible. Like to one in the marsh down south in the commonwealth.
There is a mirelurk queen waiting. I get this quest in 3 out of 5 attempts.
So if you want to start the mission for PAM: quicksave! If the target doesn't match/is too hard, reload the save and try again.
But even if you got the weave stuff... its not designed properly.
Only a few piece can be upgraded and then we come to the situation where a damn 'newsboycap' provides so freaking much protection that you can throw away any helmet in the game.
There is a mod which changes this for more suits but this won't save me for running around in the marine armor from far harbor and my newsboycap...
Becuase I would loose more then 70 points of protection if I decide to wear the marine helmet... o_______O

i got 406 damage resistence with devastors chest piece (51 dmg resist.), devastors metal leg armor (31 dmg resist) and other metal leg armor (28 dmg resist each) green rag hat with ball. weave (110 dmg resist) and millitary fatigues (110 dmg resist with ball. weave) this makes it better and best armor in the game without using power armor. thanks for response and have a nice day

You forgot to mention that you have to do the "Jackpot" quest *twice* before you can unlock the ballistic weave!
You also forgot to point out that out of the _dozens_ of pieces of headwear in the game, only FOUR work with this! I was running around from vendor to vendor for an hour, turning mods on and off because I couldn't find what was wrong with the hats in my inventory and why they refused to show up in the armorer workbench menu.
None of your Business It actually can be unlocked after one quest, but by two it should be unlocked. It's random.

Sadly Tinker Tom can be such a pain in the ass when you trying to get him to tell you about ballistic weave. After all the trouble you have to go through just to get him to tell you about it you may want to kill him. Did so many quests for the railroad trying to get the ballistic weave and nothing. Finally I wasted 30 minutes bullshitting with tinker tom and there it was...

Alex K. if you are on pc there is a console command you can use to unlock the ballistic weave mod, but console does not have that option.

I like to get the legendary combat armor. It looks cool and there are more choices than with Synth armor.
don't forget the army/dirty army fatigues which are the same stats as the baseball suit, as well as military fatigues ALSO have 5 energy resistance.

If you go for the military fatigues, you get a bonus 5 energy resistance. Matches the green rag hat too.

Thank god i didn't progressed much after killing the Railroad cuz they were annoying me with those MILA quests and they were giving too much quests at once. This looks just so frickin cool and useful especially if the cloth is light.

You say not to side with the Railroad, but when you completed "Tradecraft", you go back to the Old North Curch and talk to Desdemona and Deacon, she will then ask you to join, if you refuse, they won't let you in their HQ.
So, it is joining them also side with them or not?
