Island Racer sat down with Dean Harrison to talk training, time on the bike and top quality gear ahead of the Isle of Man TT.
If you’re into road racing, you’ve probably heard of Dean Harrison. Widely considered a Senior TT winner in the making, 29 year old Bradford-based Dean has made ten years of solid progress around some of road racing’s most challenging circuits and has proved himself, on more than one occasion, as one of the sports most talented riders. So who better to have a sit down with ahead of the roads racing season kicking off in earnest, for a chat about all things TT.

Deans a very grounded guy, knows whats what, has an older head on young shoulders, the sort of person i'd defo get on with. Great chat love to listen to someone who knows what he's talkin about. Anyone thinkin about going racing should take advice from this realistic racer.

For such a young guy, he’s a very mature person. Truly one of the best TT riders at the moment, hopefully he will compete for a long time and eventually retire safe and sound.
I can’t believe the hype that F1 drivers get, whereas these guys, in my opinion are so much more skilled and require far more mental strength, and yet they don’t get the credit they deserve. I would much rather call Dean a hero than Lewis Hamilton anyday!!!

Fastest rider to Parliament Square I have seen EVER. He has to get the part from Parliament Square back to the start line faster and he will be unbeatable. Hickman is the best rider from Parliament Square back to the start line. Watch the perfect lap video it amazing to watch those two. Hickman is amazing on the mountain section in particular

Balls the size of watermelons.... never seen any other rider drop so low through the corners on the mountain section. Literally lays the bike flat on the asphalt. Legend. When you think of the pomp and ceremony that follows F1 and the boring crap it churns out compared the what these guys do... it’s a massive injustice !
