Act 2: maggot lair lvl 3, ancient tunnels

Yeah, worldstone keep is scary because of the burning souls. A pro tip is if you find a blackhorn keep it, save it, use it for baal runs. It gives lightning resist an the most important stat, lightning absorb!
Dolls too. Can't forget about those. Riplords even, for mellee chars.
Thundergods is best for baal runs

Really solid video, only add would be what your personal preference to farm is. For future videos I am interested in looking at "jeweler" targets from some of the discussion on your SOJ video. there is some interesting stuff there.
In regard to level 85 areas: mLvL = aLvL for trash, Champs get +1 to mLvL and the Uniques and their minions get +2 to mLVL. All aLvL 85 areas drop TC87 loot, so uniques count as lvl 87 monsters, which then gives them the ability to drop the only 3 lvl 87 items in the game, Arach, Tyreals and Azurewrath (the only 3 items Pindle cant drop)

@@OldSchoolGameSnob this game is very casual unfriendly imo, so I think a lot of players are going to come back to D2R and get stuck on how hard it is. If we assume everyone gets rushed after the first week I think a lot of players are going to be looking for guides on how to find specific Uniques, so your recent guides are spot on.
However, I would like to see a more data heavy comparisons of Andi vs Trav vs Specters for ring drops to show what the best use of our time is. which imo would be a lot more interesting than just saying "farm Andi till your eyes bleed". You are the first person I have seen actively advocating anything other than spam farming NM Andi for SOJ, and having the data to back that up could really get some attention imo.
A lot of content creators are showcasing 100/1000 runs of X for General MF, but drilling down on atypical targets (charms, jewelry, runes) is a pretty under-explored niche as far as I have seen; if you have the time to explore it.

That's the worst case scenario. But I hate that and Arcane Sanctuary with any character cept maybe sorceress which I don't usually play.

The pit is now full of fire immune mobs….I leveled a sorceress just to farm it as a fire sorceress according to your video. You might want to change it check it out for yourself. Great videos keep it up. So disappointing that there was a fire immunities there.

I don't mind having to find my way through areas. I know its more efficient to farm offline where the map is the same but i like to farm monsters while i navigate the random areas. this has led to me finding many nice items and runes anyway. Also i find it fun and it keeps the maps somewhat interesting.
Yeah, offline game is like gambling with chips, online is the rea thing....

A big tip for immunities! You can buy a wand from towns that roll Lower Resist charges. This you can swap to to break said immunities!
This doesn't work to break all immunities though

Hey, Maggor lair 1, 2, 3 is actualy great, Unique mobs there can still drop anything from the game only champions cant drop tyraels might, azurewrath and arachnid mesh. City of the Damned in act 4 is also good as unique mobs can drop anything too. I found Tyraels might there once :)

FYI sewers lvl2 is always top and right of the map, so its easy to find.
I found 2 zods that I didn't need but not a single berserker axe that I needed. Let alone an ethereal👍
Definitely was giving up trying to look for a shako to finish my mf work build.

Blackhorn's Face (unique death mask) is the best counterbalance to lightning enchanted foes. Team it up with Thundergod's Vigor (war belt) for extra lightning absorb.

It's good, quite fast and safe. The bug is said to be fixed.
Haven't tried d2r yet but i do remember when farming hard or higher areas alone in 20yr old d2 kill everything... Even as a sorceress so if you have to teleport backwards away you don't get hit by missed kills. And mess up the run

Feels like almost everything in Hell mode is light immune. So annoying! Guess I'll have to try for an infinity!

Thanks for the videos. Maybe a dumb question, but are these areas top of the level area caps for Normal and Nightmare difficulties? I only ask because I play on the console and without the /players command, you have a to spend a bit more time gear hunting to balance out the slow progression in solo.
Nah, these areas arent the highest relative to everywhere else in normal/nightmare. You want to be doing normal diablo and baal/nightmare andariel runs.

I laugh when I look back at getting my first characters to Hell and not using a build guides. Not ever making a single rune word. Funny to me because I was so clueless and making it extra hard on myself.

High enough to be able to wear appropriate armor for you appropriate level character in relation to your build. :)
In rankboost site, is it true that mavina's armor can drop in spider forest (normal) and tal rasha armor in act 5 location(normal)

I just leveled my first character the necro to lvl 80 and he was way easier then the sorcerer I’m leveling up now. I wish everyone had some form of teleport because that really is a game changer. The teleport staff was a pain and enigma takes forever
In my opinion if you use teleport on every character the game gets boring. what are you telling yourself? "i need to skip most of the map because i dont want to bother". Why even play the game. Just stack run speed% and half stamina loss and zip through the zones. At least then you actually kill things. I feel everyone is in such a damn hurry. its obvious teleport is broken. Any skill that feels like its required for every class shouldnt be in the game imo.

My dreamdin with grief coh and dual dream tears through this place. Diablo dies in about 5 seconds as well and I’m only 83. Conviction maxed helps a lot lol

Awesome video but I had a quick question. When farming in this lvl 85 maps (I understand anything can drop from this maps) can any npc drop anything? Or is it just the bosses or the unique/elite npc from the packs? Would hate to just ignore 99% and only kill the packs.
anything can drop from any monster, but depending on how many players are in game (or single player difficulty command) the regular monsters have less chance to drop an item at all.
Don't need a full 8 players for max drop rate, 3-5 is usually the good range.
bosses / elites are guaranteed to drop an item regardless of player count.

Pindle isn’t lvl 85 area and thus can’t drop any item in the game which is what this video is.

Lod is optional, however there is no expanded or shared stash in classic.
I am now experiencing the expansion for pretty much the first time because of this

How do you change your right click option without clicking into the menu?
Set hotkeys on your skills by opening the skill menu and hovering over your desired skill with the mouse and hit whichever key you want for the skill. The defaults are f1-f8 or something but you can change them in the options menu

Zone is 85. No lvl requirements if you can physically get there.

No. You can run the area in your 70s and still get the goods.

For item drops (by monsters or chests) the item's level is determined by the monster's level, or the level of the area in which the chest was found. For gambling, level is determined by the level of the character gambling, with some randomness thrown in. item level = Clvl +4/-5.

It really doesn't matter as long as you're able to kill them, the items are based off area level not character level. Level only really applies to gambling for loot. As long as you're able to effectively clear it fast enough then whatever level you're comfortable at is fine
For that matter actually saw a clip of a necro corpse explosion build that could run 85+ areas at 60. So really I guess it's just a matter of how bad you want it

Other CZcamsrs are claiming cow ilevel is only 81, not 85 like other zones. Except i remember rushing noobs through acts to "take" their cow levels for myself for sweet sweet loot. I think wikipedia and other such pages are wrong about 81 ilevel. Probably because most CZcamsrs playing d2 dont know shit except what they read on forums which doesnt equate to accurate information
its a decent place for rune farming as that just requires killing a crap ton of enemies

I was farming with a Fireball/Orb sorc in the pit and found the best strategy when encountering an archer boss pack is to quit out and try to spawn those next time

Everything is lightning immune my first playthrough in hell i completed act 2 an 3 an didnt even gain a single level because i gad to jus run past everything cause tge entire acts were immune to lightning i waz so board i was like this is the big iconic game? Jus walk by everything an kill the act boss. It was fair bit more enjoyable on physical class next playthrew though
Back when it was released you wouldn't even get last nightmare. There were really no gameguides for it back in 2000. This game is so iconic I can't believe I'm addicted again.
