- Title Pretty much says it all..... These were SO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!!!!! Notice how long I waited for the elevator and how it took a little over a minutes to travel 12 floors!!!!!! As you can obviously tell, these were originally Otis Lexan, but modernized with Otis Series 1 probably with Elevonic 411M, but not sure..... The cabs were TINY!!!!!!! Located in one of many independently owned apartment style hotels found throughout Canada, which usually have only 2 or 3 elevators to serve more than 10-30 floors......
Installed: 1972 (Otis Lexan)
Modernized: Early to Mid 2000s (Otis Series 1 Elevonic 411M? Mod., Call Stations on most floors are still Lexan) - Věda a technologie
Rode these back in 2009 when my aunt and cousins stayed here. Those arch walls at the top of the doors on the parking level use to be on all floors. So unique! Spent some time searching for a these online, turns out you filmed them before we first met almost 7 years ago! :)
Those elevators are SMALL! Sorry you had to wait a while for an elevator to come in the basement. I also liked the door designs down there!

This elevator must be going 300 FPM or less. The freight elevator at Simmons Tower in Little Rock goes 500 FPM and serves 40 (or 41 with basement) floors.

Lol I wish my apartment complex had these instead, I think mine can only do about 150 fpm
They DO need to speed up these elevators and/or put in destination dispatch!! Not bad elevators overall...

These elevators should have compass
These elevators are not fast they’re so slow.
These lifts go 1 .5m/s . Way too slow fr a lift that tall. Should be at least 2.0m/s to 3m/s
Incorrect programming may have been the cause.

OPM1961 Actually, this is 411M I believe since it’s a mod. And if the mod is relay controlled. These are not Elevonics.
I don't think there's such thing as an Elevonic 411 with Series 1, but okay. Are you getting this information from EvMast?
OPM1961 I research by myself. Actually there’s plenty of Series 1 Elevonic 411 in the US.
Plus, this is a Newer Series 1. Elevonic 401 can only have older Series 1.
Not to be rude to Otis or this hotel but these elevators have gotta get modded to Otis series 7 because right now these elevators are PATHETIC

Yeah, this place really does need a mod I hate to say..... Preferably Destination Dispatch or just simply faster elevators that go like 500-1000 fpm....
