Great video!!! I love airbrushing because it helps to achieve effects you can’t get with a brush!
Yes - totally agree J!!! Thanks bro.
Thank you so much for making this, I was doing some of these things wrong and I was getting a little frustrated, but now I know. Thanks and happy railroading!
Hey there - that's awesome that you're gonna try some new stuff. Thanks for the comment and happy railroading to you too.
This was an awesome how-to video. Thanks so much.
Hey Mark - thanks a bunch man.
👍👍Thanks for the tips always good to get different perspectives! I totally forgot about pushing the needle, rather then pulling it out. I'd never owned or used a Air Brush until a year ago had no clue what to do? I found a CZcams channel...Barbatos Rex. I watched many hours of his videos. His tips tricks and techniques helped me immensely! Guess what I'm getting at for all people new to the hobby is "It's better to light one candle,
Then to curse the darkness." 🚂🚂
That's awesome. And I like that proverb... How do you like using the airbrush?
@@ProScaleModels Now that I have gained some experience I love it! Wouldn't be without one now!
Great video as always.
One thing I like to tell folks is use quality paints. The pigments tend to be much finer, and spray better. I also spend a lot of time learning how to thin and reduce specific brands of paint I like to use. Always have a test piece to the side of what you are working on. I tend to reference it a lot through out the process.
Every time I add new paint or switch colors, I am using that test piece before actually painting my model.
Also I like to tell folks to play around with the pressure you are painting at. I can thin my paint so that I can have my pressure really low, which prevents overspray.
Like anything the more you use it, and play around with it, the better you get. It starts to become second nature.
Take which ever air brush you use, and fid that sweet spot. It will be the right paint consistency, and pressure to get the right atomization and put down an even coat.
Also play around with different color primer coats. It effects the top coat color.
These are all things you pick up over time, but really make air brushing enjoyable.
Excellent. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT!!!
For me... I always have to do a practice piece... then, when I get the rhythm... Look Out!... Great stuff, man... this helps when I get into my rhythm mode.
Ahhh yeah - - def get into and find a good rhythm and it'll flow much better.
Great channel awesome modelling 👍🏻🚂Awesome video TSM

Hahaha thanks bro - and it's not hard. Hope you get to use one soon...
What is your formula for your cleaning solution. Thanks. Good video. Learning a lot.
Thanks Tood and it's 3 parts water, 2 parts Windex and 1 part alcohol (70 or 90 percent). - that's cleaner and for thinner just subtract the windex. Been working for me for years.
@@ProScaleModels Thanks.
