Hat's off, some of the tightest mixing I've heard.
In my opinion this mix really sounds sharp in a bad way, really clashy and uneven. Foals deserved waaay better. At the beginning there was a horrific noise coming out of the presenter's Mic. My guess is that Kevin Suggs (Actual Audio Engineer) was not around that day :/ hahaha

The noise I made when I found this video was inhuman. My absolute favorite band ever since I first hear them 5 years ago.. After seeing them live two months ago, I look for every live video I can find. Ahh my favs 😍

@@rwsbrwsb ..hey friend.. What is iPlayer? And are all the Glastonbury broadcasts on there? They used to show them on MTVLive tv channel which was actually Paladia before that. All those UK festivals were shown on that channel. It was incredible. I was going through some really tough times and they helped soooooo much. I got put onto so much new music and was loving it. Genres that I aint really listen to before but im a very open minded cat and especially even more cuz of my mind state at the time. But then all that came to an end cuz the channel stop showing those great shows. So upsetting.
That Milk and Black Spiders version is simply gold! Gets me everytime!

This station puts out the best live stets, with excellent sound engineering. I love it, and thank them for the product they put out.

I still remember meeting this guy a few years back from Seattle kept mentioning kexp I would never have guessed it would become one of the most influential radio shows in the world. Really appreciate the work you guys do it for the music scene these days

It's honestly not all about crazy complicated drum beats, and if you haven't noticed that he has truly grown as a professional drummer, then you're clearly not a musician. Jack is an incredible drummer and has put soulful drum beats from antidotes to holy fire.

Wonder why they don't do these live radio sessions with the full band. These alternative versions are cool but their drummer is so damn good he's amazing to watch.
Milk & Black Spiders is just incredible - I can feel that song somewhere inside my soul warming me up with every note.

Rather listen to challenging music than disposable pop any day. I've only discovered KEXP recently but they definitely steer me in the right direction musically and it's a good station to leave in the background when you're keeping yourself busy.

Its not a perfect radio station for most people, even people who have good taste in modern rock/pop/hip hop music thats not mainstream. Mainly because most people cant listen to such a wide variety of music this station puts out. Im talking 50's bayou blues all the way to underground london dub. But what you do get is the very best of the extensively widespread genres that KEXP plays. I love this station and will support it forever.

Totally underrated band
No they are not, wtf x)
they are one of the most hyped bands of the last five years. all of their albums were in UK top ten and charted in USA and the rest of europe as well. nothing underrated here.
they´re a great band anyway
they really were hyped when they came out and there is nothing wrong with it. not so much with their last album, but even that was place 2 in the UK charts.
not every hype is bad. they really deserved it! i dont know where you are from. it really may not be the case in the US or some non EU countries, but in EU Foals where really present and heavily promoted and charted pretty high. i like the foals, dont get me wrong, but they arent one of the bands that are under the radar or dont sell well. they where even in the soundtrack for a FIFA game. ypu have to move units to get on there ;)
the fact that something is, or isnt underground has nothing to do with the quality of a band. just because some band is hyped or charts or anything doenst mean it has to be mediocre. thats one of those hipsterproblems
they havent released an album in 2 years or so, but their 2013 album was place two in UK and their next will be again. with so many bands around there sure is the most buzz when it comes to releases. why is it so important for you to make them an underground sensation? its like saying bloc party is underground, just because you havent heard much since their last release...
and just to throw some number out, their official soundcloud has over 2 million followers thats not by any means the number an underrated band gets
never mind. if it is important for you to make them an underground phenomenon to justify listening to them and if it makes you feel better, so be it. just keep in mind, that just because you werent aware of a band or because none of you friends listens to them, this band must be unknown for the rest of the world too.

I like Foals a lot (new discovery for me) and I just realised they were using a synthesizer instead of a drum for this performance. I usually prefer "real" instruments but it sounds good, very discrete.
The guitar sound in this version of Milk & Black Spiders is just incredible

The reason the shows feel good in Seattle is because of all the greats that were spawned there - they've all left a little piece of energy that has obvious long-lasting effects. Long Live Seattle's musical vibe.
