Thank you for this video! I get so aggravated trying to find golf tips on CZcams. Guys have videos that are like 16 minutes long and there is so much unnecessary chatter. Just get straight to the point like this! Well done!

@Jason Kopf I honestly think they are just trying to get their videos to certain lengths for ad/monetary purposes..
Someone should make a channel where they have 5-10 sec max intro and then just get straight into the tips/drills.. They would probably be a huge hit 👍🏻

Michael! I viewed this video sometime ago and I guess I wasn't paying enough attention. Here lately a "skinny" fairway wood and hybrid shot will creep in. Needless to say, I will now heed your advise of chest down into the shot. Well Done!

Do you centre the ball or have it slightly forward?

How do I hit my short hybrid clubs. I have a full set of hybrid clubs. Need help with ball placement.

Hi..I have been tipping my hybrid when it was my favourite club, what is the best ball position? I have told forward if centre and swing like a iron but have noticed that some people have it in line with logo on shirt and swing like a fairway wood.

    • @nikigoodfellow7511
      @nikigoodfellow7511 Před 7 lety +1

I was always told (and what i do) is for hybrid about one ball to left of centre. Fairway woods one ball in towards middle from left heal. I hit it like an iron, with weight coming forward to the left (unlike a drive where i keep weight balanced). Hands in front of clubhead on impact with the hybrid, unlike behind for fairways and driver :)

I started doing much better when I actually hit behind the ball 1/2 inch and try to kind of slide it under the ball. My swing thought is "slide it under". Picture the hybrid sliding under and almost not hitting the ball . This has given me great success.

I tried this today with hybrids and 3 wood and this is a great swing thought. THX!

I tried hitting down on the ball with hybrids to no success. I started picturing sliding under the ball without hitting it fat and what a huge diff it made with all my hybrids. Clean contact every time and this is with a 3 degrees out to in swing.

@@sneak-a-leek2135 this only works with fluffy lies. From a tight lie use an iron.

@@sneak-a-leek2135 i took hundreds of dollars in golf lessons. And none of them told me basics like:fluffy lie=hybrid. Tight lie=iron.
Also , for the short game, fluffy lie=use high lost and put ball high. Tight lie=use low loft and as low as possible.
It took me a lot of triple bogeys to learn this!!!!!!

  • @kingshark4645

something he not saying, is still keep the weight to the left and have a downward action.
    just cause it's a hybrid, don't mean it's a driver.
keep that body posture down and make sure you head is level, chin up and eyes down
    you still want some compression.
so don't get all, weight to the right and flicking up. it's a hybrid and not a driver
