  • In this video, we dive deep into the Seiko Turtle SRPE93 and uncover four compelling reasons why it might just be the best Prospex watch in Seiko's collection.
    1. Heritage: The Seiko Turtle carries a rich history dating back to the 1976 Seiko 6309. Revived in 2016, the modern Turtle pays homage to its legendary predecessor with upgraded features like an automatic movement and increased water resistance.
    2. Uniqueness: The Seiko Turtle stands out with its bold curves, asymmetrical crown, and day-date window. Its quirky yet functional design, with clear markers and generous lume, ensures readability in any situation. Despite its substantial size, the curved case and short lugs provide exceptional comfort.
    3. Quality: The Turtle boasts refined finishing, a robust 4R36 movement, and 200M water resistance. The attention to detail, from the metallic borders around markers to the 120-click unidirectional bezel, exemplifies Seiko’s commitment to quality.
    4. Value: Priced around $500, the Seiko Turtle offers incredible value with its durable build and stylish design. It’s a fantastic choice for watch enthusiasts and those seeking a reliable everyday timepiece.

    Reason 5: Comfort

What i am trying to say is comfort, considering it's size. In my humble opinion, its one of the most comfortable big watches i have put on, maybe because of the short lugs.

The best prospex watch is the Alpinist, but this one is close second.

I like the Alpinist a lot, one the most unique Seiko watches, especially the compass function. I hope i can review it someday

Lume on the wrong side of the seconds hand

Thats a good remark, i think it compensates with the lume on the hour and minute hands😀

It’s a good looking piece yes but both my buddy and I got one at the same time and both watches failed waterproofness. Very disappointing to be honest.

@@AZadeh-nd8vx yes seriously. We wondered whether we got really unlucky with a bad batch.

Honestly, i am surprised to hear that. This watch took some serious beating, i wear it on all my summer vacations without any issues. Sorry to hear that both of you got some suspicious units.

@@timepieceofart eeh thanks! I've been entertaining the idea of settling for Citizen for a long time, but boy are they ugly

I'm not big on watches that are that large. When your entire wrist is taken up by the head case of the watch I personally think that it really takes away from the style of said watch

    • @timepieceofart
      @timepieceofart  Před měsícem +2

Yes, definitely not suited for smaller wrists, but you would be surprised how comfortable it is on the wrist, despite its size.

And it wears a lot smaller because of lug to lug

It fits fine under sleeves, with the exception of maybe a dress shirt, but who’s wearing a chunky diver with a dress shirt? 🤣
