In this video I show you how to clean and lubricate a shimano hub. In addition, we will replace the bearings in the body. The center has been completely renovated.

00:00 How do you maintain a Shimano hub?
00:21 Remove all parts from the hub.
01:25 Clean all hub parts.
05:20 Remove all cartridges from the body.
06:00 Clean the whole body.
07:00 Clean the inside of the hub.
07:20 Press the new bearings into the body.
09:00 Reassemble the body.
10:18 Put the ball back in.
11:34 Bring everything back to the center.
13:00 Reopen connections inside.
13:40 Play the wheel.
09:55 ready.

thanks for the great video! i have the FH-MT510-B hub and am wondering why the exploded views from shimano don't show the 3 pressed ball bearings.
do you know what ball bearings can be used as replacements?

wel raar omdat zonder commentaar stem te bekijken. van een professor verwacht je toch wat extra duiding 😉 Een paar vraagjes. Waarom met een verfafbrander op de body, en is er een reden dat sommige kogeltjes blinken en andere zwart zien?

Komende video’s zijn even zonder geluid, ga eens wat anders proberen ;)! Slijtage en roest veroorzaakt de zwarte kleur

Metaal zet uit bij warmte, dan gaan de lagers er net ff makkelijker terug in.
