A BIRTHDAY HOT PEPPER MYSTERY - HABANERO VS. FRESNO PEPPER

So... I ate a whole Fresno pepper yesterday and had the sort of reaction that a red habanero or bird's eye chili would induce... despite the fact that the SHU range of the pepper is 2,500-10,000. Today, I try to prove to myself that I'm not losing it by eating a whole yellow Habanero (SHU range 100,000-300,000), then trying a bite of another Fresno. And look at what happens. So what is going on?? Was that even a Fresno pepper that I ate yesterday?
