    THANK YOU! I've had my brother for about 6 years now and had NEVER cleaned it! I didn't realize how often it needed it. My poor "little brother" was a dust pit! I was having so much trouble with it and couldn't figure out why. He's doing so much better now!

    I don't think I've cleaned my machine or changed my needle since I bought it years ago. I definitely need to download the manual.

    Great video and I am Soo glad you showed those areas in bobbin are. Great job. As from earlier having panic attack. Told my husband I broke my machine. I went back up to my sewing room sat back down. Cussing myself for not covering the area so no screws would drop. I dropped a screw. Know I know how it goes together. I holler to him I dropped a screw down in. He tore my machine apart. He discovered a screw didn't need to be somewhere. I looked something wasn't right. He said but it's the only screw that would work, so he took it apart and said oh I know. So he replace a screw somewhere. Then he said I have one left over. I am holding my breath. Then he said I know what. So he took all screws out, put it all back together. I threaded the machine did the bobbin and it runs like a dream!! Thank you for your video.

    ditto with david & lori. your video very easy to follow. and now my machine is running much better. i even found a thread trapped in the bobin workings, well that explains alot. i will never going to let it get that bad again and i know i can come back to video for guidance. thank you for the tip on not needing oil.

    Thank you for all the information. The information from 8:08 - 9:25 very discriptive. Using a coin for removing and reinstalling the screws very good idea. I wasted my money on elongated screw driver set from amazon ($8.00 US).

    What a great trick with marking the needles! When I was younger, I never did enough sewing to know I needed different needles, much less that I needed to discard them {& there was no CZcams to tell me ;-)}. Having come back to it, I've just been using needles & putting them back in the case. Shame on me! Haha!

    • @onelisashow
      @onelisashow  Před 2 lety +1

      We grew up with only changing the needles when they broke or bent…it’s a game changer to change needles often. I always use my coupons at Joann’s on needles or buy on Minerva if I’m making a good sized order.

      @@onelisashow Haha! Yup, we're one of the "waste not, want not" generations. Used to be, you could find reasonable quality needles on Ebay, or Amazon. They've upped their prices, considerably. Thanks for the tip! I'll check out JoAnn's coupons. They bombard me with so many emails, & I never buy fabric or notions from them, so I rarely look at the emails. One of our thrift stores has a 99 cent rack, with a lot of designer clothes, made with high quality fabric, etc., so I grab nearly all of my notions & fabric from that. Problem is, they're so high quality, it takes a ridiculous amount of picking french seams, & sturdy fabric, etc.😏

    yes you are absolutely correct check your sewing machine manual but please kindly consider a video tutorial for how to thread and operate the sewing machine since some people find it easier to learn from watching a video rather than trying to figure out a manual please kindly consider this and let me know OK?thank you very much

    Have you ever free styled quilted on this machine?

    • @onelisashow
      @onelisashow  Před 2 lety +1

      No, I have not. I just made my first quilted project last month actually, and it was a dog coat. I didn't free style it, I just sewed straight lines to create a diamond shape.

    • @onelisashow

      I use coats and Clark or gutterman. Actually, I found a very old spool of Walmart thread about 20 years old and although it was not the best thread, it worked fine.
