This thing's a beast, a pretty quiet one at that. Planned to replace fan but have no need to. Works great in a Metalfish T40.

The fan clip adds an extra 1mm to the height with certain fan like noctua A12x15. Not compatible for cases with strictly 67mm CPU cooler height limit. Also, please fix the red plastic standoff on AM4 platform. The diameter barely fits the motherboard backplate screw protrusion, it makes removing the standoff a hassle because it will become stuck on the board.
I really want to like this cooler, but it's been held back with compatibility issues that can be easily be solved if Thermalright provide another mounting orientation (heatpipes pointing up/down).
As you can see in the video, if you have tall RAM stick, you pretty much left with the cooler overhangs over the mosfets. However, with this orientation, the cooler covers the 8 pin CPU socket and covers the motherboard screw hole plus the 4 pin CPU fan header. So, if you installed the cooler before installing the motherboard into the case, you can't screw the top left part of the mobo because the cooler is in the way. Also, you need to connect the 8 pin power supply cable before installing the cooler, because the cooler will block the access.

Do you know if this cooler would be compatible with the Lian Li Q58 case (it has that strict 67mm height limit you mentioned) assuming we do not swap out the stock fan with a Noctua ?

@@gencoserpen1260 I believe you can make it work if you're comfortable pushing the cooler a bit. I wouldn't recommend it due to turbulence noise concerns. Some alternative you can consider, AXP100 or IS60 EVO.

@@warnacokelat thanks for your response. I have actually considered the IS60-Evo but I am afraid it may have trouble clearing the MOSFET heatsink on my AsRock Z390 Phantom M-ITX (unfortunately I have 51mm tall RAM so my only installation option appears to be to have the cooler cover the VRM). The motherboard on display in this installation video is an Asrock Z690 M-ITX and the heatsink, although similar to mine appears to be a few mm shorter. I would say it looks to be roughly the same height as an IO shield which is about 45mm height. The AXP-120 has 40mm RAM clearance and if we add 9mm for the CPU+socket that gives us about 49mm clearance. I don't have my board with me atm to take measurements but I think even if it clears it will be extremely close. The AXP-100, IS-60 and Big Shuriken 3 all have less clearance than the AXP-120 below their heatsinks.
My current ITX case is an older Corsair 380T and it can only take a 2 slot GPU and that is why I wanted to move my board to a modern case. With my tall RAM & heatsinks I may have to stick to AIO liquid cooling again or just choose a non-sandwich layout like the NR200P where there are far more air cooling options.

Why not showing how the cooler sits on the AM4 board?

@Thermalrightonutube The AXP120-X67 on Amazon clearly shows that the LGA2011 socket is supported in the description. I hope the title of this video is just wrong and not the product description. If I have to return the two coolers I bought because of a lack of competence by Thermalrights to provide the correct spec's in their own listing guess what brand I'm not buying again? So sick of companies not being able to even list their own product specifications right about a product and wasting everyone's time.
