There were times in this drama that I genuinely could not stand the female lead. Guy is bending over backwards to help her at every opportunity, is there for her daughter, treats her with care and concern, and encourages her constantly. She has been fighting him every step of the way - to the point that he basically had to drag her kicking and screaming into improving her station and financial situation so she could independently take care of herself and Jasmine. In return, she routinely disregards both him and all of his efforts on her behalf and, at times, seems to make a special effort to crap all over him. It is like she is fine with being weak, broke, and unhappy as long as she can go against anything he might do to help her.
She should appreciate his persistence, she is as prickly as a cactus!

The show was pretty good but still lacking. Zhanpeng didn’t become a better dad at all. There should have been more development between Tian and Dong, and more softening of Tian toward Dong shown. Du was just a nuisance.
