I've never heard anyone give Peter an accent but now that I have I'm realizing... *of course he'd have an accent*.
Thanks for that.

Poor Stan. He worked hard to avoid the terrible issues in his life. Now they've come back. He lost his wife and his money. He needs a hug.
I always love how Peter Parker is the only hero that can walk away from the hero gig. He’s aware that he’s not the end all be all against evil. He’s just like anyone else and knows he has no right think he’s above others. He just decides to help others. That what makes him a great hero
Makes for powerful stories!
Nope he is a overrated nerd Carol Danvers is the best!
Ew
Pluto Guy88 Bruce PHOENEIX Each of the 3 Big heroes are overrated to an extent( except Superman). Carol hasn’t come close to there level to being considered overrated
Maybe at some point but theres a whole bunch of stuff about the web of life and destiny that means that spiderman must exist, peter parker has been given some ways out at different points like the end of spider island but the mythos has evolved to the point where he is you know actually really important.
Spidey was so upset about what his life had become, but at least he did not mess up the timeline.
I am looking at you Barry.

Stan was a good man
Stan The Man is dead and gone ,
But his memory will still go on .
He created characters near and dear ,
The good shall love the evil will fear .
And at the end of the day ,
Come what may ,
This is what I say : whether you're from the country or the city ,
With GREAT power comes GREAT responsibility
Peter Parker has endured quite a lot as a character: aside from relating with the average " everyman" he just can't seem to catch a break. While we the reader imagine ourselves as a fantastic hero, Spiderman show us that despite his powers...it isn't easy...and downright frustrating! So I'm glad stories like issue # 50, really makes us realize that everyone can make the right choice and do the right thing! Powers or no powers!
At college you have to make a choice between three things, but you can only choose two. A social life, hanging out with your aunt or being Spider-Man.
Can I get option D, all of the above?
@@darthr0xas363 No, the reality is that there's not enough time for anyone to have all three.
In real life, you still have to choose and choose what to spend your time on wisely.
I say fuck that old hag she be banging doc ock all day
Also, this story really makes Stan's recent loss feel so much more powerful. He owes his legacy to her (among others). God, I would not want to be Stan right now. I hope he can survive this whole situation, but being 95 with pneumonia is not good. Despite his shortcomings, he will always be an idol.
Guy Incognito Stan lee is my idol and to all
He's lived a long fruitful life.

Thats the title of my autobiography.
"Comics were seen as a danger to society and especially children"
Sooooo, they were basically yesterday's video games?
It sounds like it. Everything new and creative that question people's limits and structures, are often seen like it,
Emtyra and today's mythology
Old people like to use new stuff as scapegoats for recent problems.
Socrates thought books and writing were bad because it meant you wouldn't keep the knowledge in your head. It's literally a tale as old as time, " I don't like this new idea cause it claseshes with my established beliefs, it needs to stop for the sake of the new generation..." is basically the thought process.
They were tomorrow's books too.
One of the best Spider-Man stories analyzed by one of the best comic book CZcamsrs
Poor Stan
I hate when people say that they hate the fact that he quits in Spider-Man 2 because peter is supposed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, first off he's not immune to psychological damage, his will is strong but it's not like Batman's or the green lantern's where their whole thing is willpower. Like Spider-Man quitting was in the comics so stop complaining, I've heard some people say this in another video
They just don’t know their ish
I mean he may be superhuman, but still human.
Spider-man quitting in Spider-man 2 was because basically he wanted to get laid and do better in class, not the same as in the comics
@hoya1178 I doubt we watched the same movie if that's your takeaway
No one has ever said that ever
4:48 that sent actual chill down my spine
“When you help someone, you help everyone” thank you Joan for helping stan.. because he helped all of us. ❤️ #excelsior
I recently read every issue of The Amazing Spider-Man and I'm so proud I recognized that thumbnail as The Amazing Spider-Man #50.
Sals voice over is a nice touch man! Great video! Good work to the both of you!
Hey Scott! Watching this episode I was reminded of Peter Singer's essay "Rich and Poor". This essay explores if we have a moral responsibility to help people in need. I think it could be a very interesting way of analyzing Spider-Man's philosophy. If you haven't read the essay I really do recommend it. Lots of love and keep up the amazing and smart work you do!
Very Interesting video. Never really thought about how Spider man was basically another alias for Stan Lee also.
TheNottakenaccount its a funny bit.. But in mallrats stan goes down list of emotions he put in when creating the comics.
When you said he seemed to be having fun nowadays, it felt off to me because I was thinking about the fact that he died. I completely forgot that he was getting screwed over left and right just before that. Thinking about him dealing with these issues before his demise is...kinda sad really.
I also realize this video was uploaded in April of 2018, whereas Stan died in November.
I love how Spider-Man 2 tried to capture this comic’s aspect. Probably one of the best Spider-Man movies.
I have no idea why John Romita wasn't credited in Spider-Man 2. That was his Spider-Man, not Ditko's. He wasn't even credited for Mary Jane in the films.
Scott… I'm not sure how much of this you do on your own but I get the feeling that you don't hear this enough: Your work is among some of the best on CZcams. I don't even read comics but I consistently watch your videos and aspire to be as good as you are someday. Everything about your videos is done with care, passion and professionalism and I just can't get enough.

Stan Lee
Scott. Thanks for another great video! I remember reading in the book, Origins of Marvel Comics by Stan Lee, he told his wife, Joan, that he was tired of writing Monster Comics. It was then told him that he needed to start taking pride in work. It was at this time that Martin Goodman told Stan Lee that he wanted him to create a new Superhero Team. It was at this point Stan and Jack Kirby created the Fantastic Four. But they would be different than other Superheroes. Despite their powers, they would have problems just like other people!
Your videos are so heartfelt. I find myself on the edge of my seat on occasion.
Rest in peace, Stan Lee. Your legacy will live on.
R.I.P. Stan Lee. Thank you for never giving up on your dreams. Excelsior!
“Captain America turns em on“ 😂
After the passing of stan lee the ending got me really choked up you have a gift Scott this was a truly remarkable video!
The clips showing Stan Lee's wife just made me instantly say "even in the real world Madam Webb gives wisdom"
WOW! AMAZINGLY WELL DONE! This is a story I'm sure many people could relate to this. Almost in everyone's life there is a situation where we feel like giving up and in that darkness we get a click, a spark to ignite the flame and really motivate our selves and sometimes that flame sparks by thinking of others. Poetic
Years later Stanley would be indicated with a letter from a soldier we should just go on to change Flash Thompson, the letter from a soldier who mentioned that it was the spiderman comics that inspired him to help others. Thus validating both Stan Lee and comics.
Thats why i love sam raemi's spider-man trilogy, they beautifully captured the human side of spiderman instead of overblowing Action and jokes at every 5 minutes.
Spider-man:"everyone loves all the other heroes but hate me."
X-men:"oh boo hoo, the newspapers roast you."

I think we all need to read this comic. People would TRULY understand what self sacrifice means. It's not about living for yourself, it's about living for others.
whenever i heard writers saying that to make good stories you have to take inspiration from the real world, i never really got that, until now, it is no wonder that Spiderman No more is such an appreciated classic, a creative twist to one's life struggles, truly the best way to write for anything.
Great video scott 👍
i always was fascinated by the fact of how much RELATEABLE Spider Man life, actions, thinking and everyday personality were to every single person and how he strives for better and not Best really one of the reasons why he IS my all time favorite hero , and no surprising after all he is ( in some way) like an incarnation of Stanley Martin Lieber.
Amazing vid!
You haven't even watched all of it yet! Haha
NerdSync your nicer than comic drake is
I'm just now seeing this and it hits hard after his death
It does, doesn't it?
Are you referring to infinity war or he being kicked out the mcu
The comment was probably referring to the passing of Stan Lee
@@ValpasKankaristo it does I thought we was talking about Spider-Man but when you realize that Stan went through a similar situation it feels different
I loved this little series. Awesome video! Can't wait for the next one :D
Yeah! Always exited for another video Scott, keep up the good work!
"I knew you'd come back."
"You did?"
"You can never be unfaithful to the one true love, you always come back to her."
"Who is that?"
"Think about it"
Thank you Stan Lee for continuing on your passion for comic book writing and bringing the characters you have helped create to life. Characters that people of all ages and backgrounds love and cherish. The world wouldn't have been the same without your presence. May you rest in piece.
Not gonna lie got a little teary eyed watching this, keep up the good work Scott!
Hearing Joan talk about her husband and know how much she encouraged him and what she meant to him made me tear up more than the end of Infinity War. Rest in peace, Madam Web. You are truly missed.
I really like those kind of analysis... and your other videos overall. And they are fun, not too short and not too long keep up the amazing work/videos Scott
I love your videos! Well most of them. Fantastic job.
No good deed goes unpunished. Spider-man knew this all too well
That's how I feel when I was trying to become a basketball player and trying to get ahead in life.
Just found your channel. I remember buying this issue off the comic rack and being very impressed with it. Thanks for the analysis.
WAIT that was Sal from comic pop?!
Wonderful video! A worthy finale for an epic trilogy with a truly heartwarming message ❤
Your analysis first made me think 'its just a theory' but over all its pretty sincere. I love the connection you made with Aunt May and Joan, Stan's wife. interesting trend with wives kicking their husbands into gear. Disney's wife stopped him from naming mickey, Mortimer. Marston the creator of wonder woman was told to make the hero a girl by his wife. and Stan's gave him the best pep talk to keep trying. XD I also loved Joan being blunt that Stan is the most handsome.(I wonder what her thoughts were on his scandalous photo affair with a hulk comic and the most boring couch I've ever seen) XD
Its also fascinating to me because in the end even when Spider-Man quit and actually went through with it, Peter still returned in the end like it was inevitable(even if it is a deliberate choice). Which implies that even if Lee had stopped writing comic books and enjoyed just doing regular other stuff, in the end Lee would has still ended up going back to comic books. helping the one uncle ben or comic book reader who could benefit from the comic. :)
(I am glad you gave a shout out to Lee's troubles when you did) I totally laughed at your 'never be productive again joke' X'D
I think it's pretty cool that without Joan we probably wouldn't have as many great stories as we do nowadays. Joan is the real hero
I see those plaid colors you're wearing for this Spider-Man video.
Can talk about restrictions of doctor doom invading other countries and diplomatic immunity
Aavedon Roy Please. Anything with Doctor Doom, I can never get enough of him.
doom and mysterio never get enough love
It's funny, because that was actually the reason they gave as to why Superman couldn't throw the book at him in an old Spider-Man crossover. According to that book, the laws of Latveria protect Doom no matter what and he faces no repercussions to his actions (even though most of his actions would lead to a number of U.N. resolutions and possible involvement with foreign armies and intelligence divisions).
Also, I think Secret War (2004-2005) could provide at least some basic insights on Latveria and 616's procedures in dealing with it by the global community.
Your my favorite CZcamsr

Caleb Beach you’re
Woah, I like the voiced comic strips! Nice work! Also fantastic video, I loved these particular comics. Spider-Man was always the best superhero in my mind.
Peter’s defining characteristic that makes him an interesting hero isn’t his youth or positivity. It’s his conflicts in life, bad luck and internal struggles that make him want to quit (which makes him relatable) yet he still continues being a hero because of the ideals he learned from his original failures.
4:25 to 5:05 I got chills. This channel really knows how to present a fantastic narrative!
Great video! Love the voice acting.
This is sad. But let me tell u what is more sadder, spoiler for infinity war:
Stan Lee has only 5 seconds of screen
Stan Lee has only 8 seconds in end game
Scott! I'm so excited you have a sponsor, I love that you continue to put out content. Your production is always been interesting and good! As soon as I can afford to I will try and help you out on patreon!
I really don’t understand why you don’t have the same amount of subscribers as at least Variant Comics. You are one of the best comic book channels. Been a subscriber since 2012
The man voicing Peter is perfect he’s got that nerdy and New York voice (I meant that in the best way possibly)

Rest in peace Stan
Such a great video! The addition on Sal's voice work brings so much to it.
great video truly touching
Spider-Man’s flaws are what make him my favorite superhero. Stan Lee is an amazing writer.
I just want to say, I've been a fan for a while now, and I never really comment. This video though, is so well thought out and very well edited on a subject that is deeply personal. not just to me, but to anyone that's ever tried at something. Anyone who's ever laid everything out and put it on the line and just hoped that it worked. I really appreciate this video, more than most of the other great ones made on this channel, because of the personal subject matter. Thank you, and keep up the great work.
I wish the reading of the comic with that voice was actually a full video, It was truly fascinating and a good way to see Spider-Man No More since I don't know to find a good copy with a large price.
Rest in peace stan
I miss Joan Lee. She did a great job as Madame Web on Spider-man The Animated Series and the Fantastic Four's Landlady Mrs. Forbes in the 1994 version.
Been watching for a while and I love your videos. Keep it up.
This video really tapped into the feels. *single tear rolls down cheek*
Spider-Man actually ended with Issue #38, the last Steve Ditko issue! His clone started with #39.
j/k, but what if every different writer/artist team on a character was actually creating a different character, and not simply continuing an existing character?
I wonder if Peter's tan coat that the CMYK comics printing circa 1967 rendered as bright yellow was the inspiration for the bright yellow school quiz team blazer in Homecoming?
Loved this ypu should do more analysis stuff like this
Reminds me of some of My Hero Academia’s recent events. All Might’s fight with All For One... All Might was psychologically struggling because All For One was was messing with him, but All Might had to and did remember “where he came from”. His origin, his cause and why he can’t give up. That’s pretty cool.
"and I'll never be productive again"
Top Ten phrases to live by
this story still gives me goosebumps
R.I.P
Hey Scott!in your opinion have marvel comics been a let down lately? (I think so besides very few issues that were down well) like I feel instead of internal conflict and struggle every day people deal with and put into a great written story. People instead put the cliche "Ha you think a minority cant be super smart and strong, well think again! *beats almost every villain without a problem and gets plenty of praise" I'm I guess a minority but I get super bored and irritated with those issues. I relate more to Terry Mcginnis, Peter Parker, and Dare devil than I do with diverse characters who are suppose to be Mr or Ms Perfect. What are your thoughts on that?
Those my friend is what we like to call "Mary Sues"
I don't think Marvel has a diversity issue, just a writing one. If Bendis knew how to write Miles like he did back in the day, he could be a good character again. If he could translate that writing ability to any other series, I'm sure the book would be golden, but he can't and he writes half of the so called 'diversity' characters.
That stan lee is back forever brought tears to my eyes man
Just found this channel . It's AMAZING. ;) love your style/ personality as well as your content.. binge time

I sincerely admire Stan Lee’s creativity in portraying quite an insightful message in such a uniquely artistic way.
