So beautiful! I'm so jealous that you can get some of those editions at your bookstores! As someone in the US, only the regular black Penguin Classics are available at stores. The other collections/lines I have to order online. My favorites are the Penguin Modern Classics.

What a perfect, lovely day. Thank you for taking us along. It's wonderful that you have access to so many book shops. Living in the United States, it seems that most of my options are large conglomerate bookstore chains. I have Amazon of course, and Book Depository if I want to get my classic literature in beautiful binding. I do try to shop at local independent booksellers of new and used books, but there are only a few of them and their selections are quite limited. I'll have to follow your lead and be willing to travel to get books. Make a fun day of it.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I feel so lucky to live in London and although these are both chains I think London has something like 100+ indie book shops which is just insane 💕

I live in London and haven't been on the tube since early March. The thought of it induces anxiety now. I miss the places I used to go, but the thought just makes me nervous!
This vlog at least gave me a glimpse of what I miss.
Lady Em I’m exactly the same! I was glad to see that everyone was wearing a mask and all socially distanced as it was quiet which made me feel a lot more comfortable 😷 Also lots of anti-bac dispensers everywhere!

I had plans to move (London being my first option), but then brexit happened, then the pandemic, and I'm stuck in my country, and I'm growing more restless and tired of it every day. I love Bloomsbury, especially the little cafes there. I really enjoy going to Waterstones and just reading snippets of different books. I miss that in a way.

I dog ear pages when I’m studying a book! A well read book is always full of annotations in my mind & as I buy my own books I can annotate them in anyway I like. I often have more than one copy too - one to annotate and one to keep.
