Hey NTK , how is that possible after 50h? I do get it you ride it hard, but i have a 450 from 2007 and i can ride 130plus hours with it without touching the engine

well it wasnt 50h of regular riding, you do burnouts/drifts all the time and it happened during a rolling burnout so that just proves why it blew up
It doesnt harm the engine to do a rolling burnout on the same RPM as I would have in a wheelie. And yes, the intro of the video is pretty brutal ;D

I think that being constantly on one wheel doesn’t allow the oil to lubrificate properly the front part of the engine (being up during wheelies), so the crankshaft is much more stressed and can break easily, even if at few hours of use...
That’s my point of view
Thats why husabergs engine is 70 degrees tilted 😉 when popping those wheelies the engine sits straighter than me

no, i have 110hours on my ktm 450sxf, 2016, and it has been raced. still going fine, no issues at all. most reliable bike i have ever owned. and i have owned bikes like drz 400 and they are known to be reliable. ktm is still better

Build an engine with the oil pump upgrades. With the type of riding depicted looks like you need all the oil protection can get. It practically writes itself.

There are way to many people commenting on why your bike blew up, when they don't know a thing about engines. The only way a burnout is going to destroy an engine is from overheating, even then the fault usually is not a rod snapping in half. Most likely and is the cause of the rod the snap is just a faulty part.
