(Also, for the record, in North America licorice is almost always sweet, usually chewy, and never EVER salted. We're a sour candy rather than salty candy sort of people. XD)

Haha, this is great. As a Swede I actually dislike most of our liquorice, but my mom LOVES it!
it's really funny beacuse all of the stuff they had to eat i love (except for fisherman's, they're nasty) i've always loved black salted liquorice. 'the boss' was actually my favourite candy for several years. yes we swedes might be a bit weird when it comes to candy.
That's nothing. Because I'm from Finland, so I could start at level 21... But there is one thing from Sweden, that even tough finn like me can't stand against. It's so horrible and cruel thing. It's some kind of weapon, but they eat it. They call it "surströmming".

I like red licorice, but not black. It reminds me room much of fennel, but at least if you sauté fennel, it tastes okay
